Love the list! I love how you have BDK Gris charnel in the list! However, if you are a male you can totally rock this as well. I am a school teacher and a male. I wore this beautiful fragrance this past week and to be honest it was totally for myself. I wasn’t trying to get compliments or attention. I just truly love this fragrance. I was in the middle of teaching when I had another teacher knock on my door. She told me that she smelt something in the hallways and followed it directly to my room and asked if I was the one who smelt so amazing! I was shocked because I honestly went nose blind to it. I only sprayed 6-10 times. Just a cool story about this fragrance and to let the guys know don’t be afraid to wear this fragrance!
I totally agree. I love it myself. I have tried it just out of curiosity and it reminded me of Frapin IF by R.K. I have tried IF a few months early and really enjoyed it and then I have found Gris Charnel. Gris Charnel is more rounded in my opinion and I enjoy it a bit more. But if you use both of them you get a really good combination. My gf was really astonished since they have smelled so good together.
I've received numerous compliments on Gris Charnel as well! It's one of those fragrances that I was really taken aback by when I first smelled it. I just had to sit with it for a minute!

Dear Josephine, I keep hearing you mentioning that you love cardamom and I keep thinking of histoires de parfums “1969”. The peach is very pronounced, but cardamom is so strong in this beautiful summery warm scent. I would really suggest for you to try it!

Arabian oud recently released a really lovely feminine leaning fragrance that has a nice cardamom note, along with red fruits at the top, pineapple, jasmine, and tonka bean in the mid, vanilla and patchouli in the base, chef kiss! Love it. 🥰
On this list I’ve tried and bought 3 because of you! (Travel of Hibiscus Palm and Vanilla Vibes, and a full Rouge Malachite because it is hard to come by in the U.S. right now.) I also want to try Lune Feline, Gris Charnel and Scherzo. Most of my lifers are coincidentally discontinued 😫Balenciaga Florabotanica and B., and YSL Manifesto. Also need Issey Miyake L’eau de Issey or Jo Malone Osmanthus Blossom, and will be adding full bottles of Delina Exclusif, Gentle Fluidity Gold, and Aqua Universalis forte at some point which are all loves. Need some woodier and spicy /sweet winter ones but not sure MMM By the Fireplace or TF Santal Blush are for life just yet.. I will buy my husband La Nuit del Homme forever😏
I love that white blouse! Love Rouge Malachite .There's a note in Lune Feline that smells like Lysol cleaner to me, disappointed I don't get the vanilla or cardamon.

Also salty breeze, cold beach scents, and grapefruit. Omg, also forgot, tuberose. The stinky creamy goodness. Edit: forgot! Rice notes. Preferably with milk.
Bought Samples of Gris Charnel, Lune Feline, and Amouage Material and hated all 3, I was so disappointed because I wanted to love them but just did not. I found out that I dislike Cardamon intensely. I did however buy Hibiscus Palm and I love it. I guess I will stick to the floral scents.
Good to know unique and original fragrances to gift. I owe you Scherzo and the curious thing is that on my skin the oud is the more predominant note and the rose and sweet notes are secondary, incredible elegant and sophisticated fragrance. Thanks for the video!!!

I appreciate tuberose and I am trying to learn to appreciate jasmine- Unfortunately, I am sensitive to indoles..BUT, I recently found a jasmine fragrance that is one of the most magical fragrances I've ever smelled- Midnight Jasmine by Pearlescent Parfums! If you haven't tried it yet- please try to! In fact ALL of Daniel Gallagher's fragrances are fantastic! This was a wonderful list! xoxox

I found out that Rouge Malachite is not discontinued either, the brand has decided to only release a limited amount per year as they are wanting to keep it exclusive. Where I am, they won't display the bottle and the only way to know about it or buy it, is if you ask or you've bought it in the past.

Kayali Utopia is one of my favs on it's own (not vanilla but reminds me of vanilla bc of the coconut). But so funny bc I love pairing Replica Beach Walk or Aerin Hibiscus Palm with Juliettes Vanilla Vibes too!
I have loved Tardes but blind bought Lune Feline and to my nose no trace of vanilla cardamon sponge. Burnt tires is how this smells to 5 members of my family and friends.

Hi Josephine! Splendid video as always! However, I really want to recommend Xerjoff Starlight from the Shooting Stars collection. Have you ever smelt it in your life or not yet? I know you have already sworn to never buy fragrances from Xerjoff because of their crappy delivery system but this particular frag is bomb af! Realistic cardamom with hints of almonds, cloves, cinnamon, and cedarwood. It is so comforting and very well blended. I think you'll like it given your penchant for everything cardamom. Please try it 😭 I would love to know your reaction.
My fav from this list is Amouage Material and I, too, find it a bit too much for summer, even though I would love to find a combo that makes it a bit lighter so I can wear it all year round. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know 🙂

Hi Josephine! Excited to hear you'll be doing a video on cardamom perfumes. Do you know YSL Nu (pour femme), from their Tom Ford era? It was a gorgeous cardamom perfume, but it is sadly discontinued and I don't know what I can replace it with. Do you know of anything similar, please? According to my old bottle, YSL Nu's notes were bergamot, cardamom, incense, patchouli and olibanum. Thank you!

Didn’t like Scherzo at all. Smelled old and nothing impressive. They don’t carry it in the US so purchased it from Uk and had to pay an arm and leg for shipping.
Fragrance is SO personal. If you can get a sample of it or decant definitely go down that route first. You need to test the fragrance on your skin and see how it works with your skin chemistry
Hibiscus palm is one of y favorite, I receive always compliments with it. I do love Do son and OLÈNE by Diptyque Love by Killian and pure musk by Narciso Rodríguez. May I adk you what red lipstick are you wearing in the Matière Premiere presentation?

I have..... not allergies, but, a weak sense of smell, so, I feel bad when I overspray! However, when I wear a cpl different perfumes, my co-workers don't mind. However, I did wear DELINA & my co-workers instantly went to our boss! I wore it lightly. But, I don't know why they hated Delina?

For Your Love to me smells like raspberries sprinkled with powdered sugar and wrapped in sexy woods. Along similar lines to Baccarat Rouge. Perfect Oud is the smoothest oud I've ever smelled and Poudre d'or is soft and ethereal. Depends what you like
I have been quite torn between Gris Charnel and Pas Ce Soir. I have a travel spray of PCS which I love to death. But I have yet to sample GC however fragrantica lists Versace Crystal noir as a similar fragrance to it and I LOVE CRYSTAL NOIR. Would you recommend Gris Charnel over pas Ce Soir as an all rounder scent?
Hi there! I just wanted to chime in and tell you my opinion in that you can trust fragrantica’s comparison of GC and Crystal Noir! I was a bit sad at first sniff of GC because it smells so similar to Crystal Noir, HOWEVER…GC is the more sophisticated and wintery cousin of Crystal Noir. GC lives in London and is independent and highly intelligent. She is about her business and knows her worth. She leaves for work dressed in a gorgeous wool coat and pencil skirt but slips into a pair of sweats and gets cozy on her couch in the evenings. She knows what she wants and is comfortable in her skin! Crystal Noir…well, she’s younger and more spicy. Not as cozy as her cousin. She likes to go out and enjoy a night on the town. She might smoke an occasional cigarette. She’s sometimes moody but not for long…she’s sassy and is not afraid to hold her own. 💃🏽 I can’t WAIT to smell PCS. What does it smell like to you?

PCS like the description says is a woman teasing “not tonight” but what I anticipated would be some piercing, bold man killer scent is not that at all. She’s flirty, fruity and sensual. My only qualm as are most BDK is they don’t project, you have to come up very close to smell the fragrance and I always overspray my BDKs (I also have bouquet from hongrie, used to have tubereuse Imperiale). PCS shares this same softness.. the opening can be a bit challenging with the pepper, pear and mandarin. I’d say it’s a muted, leaning sour-ish fruit. The mid and dry down is lovely tho where all the jasmine and orange blossoms come out.. I have had people comment it smells like La Belle but tone down the sweetness by 50% and you get this earthy, fruity, ginger cocktail. The beauty of it is it’s versatile, you could wear it to the office, you could wear it for a date... it’s super chic and classy. I’d say she’s a free spirit, traveler, loves the beach and nature, flirty, but still a sweet person. Very unique fragrance.
Yesterday I was at the mall and I fell in love with Jo Malone’s Mimosa & Cardamom and Jasmine Sambac & Marigold. I couldn’t buy them though because my hubby is with me 😂 Anyway, have you tried Rose Omeyyade? Is that similar to Scherzo?

Bought Samples of Gris Charnel, Lune Feline, and Amouage Material and hated all 3, I was so disappointed because I wanted to love them but just did not. I found out that I dislike Cardamon intensely. I did however buy Hibiscus Palm and I love it. I guess I will stick to the floral scents.
Good to know unique and original fragrances to gift. I owe you Scherzo and the curious thing is that on my skin the oud is the more predominant note and the rose and sweet notes are secondary, incredible elegant and sophisticated fragrance. Thanks for the video!!!

I can tell you have impeccable taste madam! I just ordered Lune Feline because I am tired of everyone talking about how amazing it is..lol! I am a lover of Roses and Gourmands. I appreciate tuberose and I am trying to learn to appreciate jasmine- Unfortunately, I am sensitive to indoles..BUT, I recently found a jasmine fragrance that is one of the most magical fragrances I've ever smelled- Midnight Jasmine by Pearlescent Parfums! If you haven't tried it yet- please try to! In fact ALL of Daniel Gallagher's fragrances are fantastic! This was a wonderful list! xoxox

I found out that Rouge Malachite is not discontinued either, the brand has decided to only release a limited amount per year as they are wanting to keep it exclusive. Where I am, they won't display the bottle and the only way to know about it or buy it, is if you ask or you've bought it in the past.

I have loved Tardes but blind bought Lune Feline and to my nose no trace of vanilla cardamon sponge. Burnt tires is how this smells to 5 members of my family and friends.

Hi Josephine! Splendid video as always! However, I really want to recommend Xerjoff Starlight from the Shooting Stars collection. Have you ever smelt it in your life or not yet? I know you have already sworn to never buy fragrances from Xerjoff because of their crappy delivery system but this particular frag is bomb af! Realistic cardamom with hints of almonds, cloves, cinnamon, and cedarwood. It is so comforting and very well blended. I think you'll like it given your penchant for everything cardamom. Please try it 😭 I would love to know your reaction.

It was a gorgeous cardamom perfume, but it is sadly discontinued and I don't know what I can replace it with. Do you know of anything similar, please? Didn’t like Scherzo at all. Smelled old and nothing impressive. They don’t carry it in the US so purchased it from Uk and had to pay an arm and leg for shipping.

Fragrance is SO personal. If you can get a sample of it or decant definitely go down that route first. You need to test the fragrance on your skin and see how it works with your skin chemistry

I have Scherzo, Vanilla vibes and Hibiscus palm from your list. I don't remember if I've sampled the ones from Jo Malone and Penhaligon's, but I know all the others from your list. I don't enjoy tuberose or neroli in fragrances, so they are not my cup of tea and I don't know why but even from Material I get a bit of tuberose.

Best Jo Malone in my opinion are orange blossom, peony and blush, English pear and Fresia and Mimosa and Cardemom
For Your Love to me smells like raspberries sprinkled with powdered sugar and wrapped in sexy woods. Along similar lines to Baccarat Rouge. Perfect Oud is the smoothest oud I've ever smelled and Poudre d'or is soft and ethereal. Depends what you like

I have been quite torn between Gris Charnel and Pas Ce Soir. I have a travel spray of PCS which I love to death. But I have yet to sample GC however fragrantica lists Versace Crystal noir as a similar fragrance to it and I LOVE CRYSTAL NOIR. Would you recommend Gris Charnel over pas Ce Soir as an all rounder scent?
Hi there! I just wanted to chime in and tell you my opinion in that you can trust fragrantica’s comparison of GC and Crystal Noir! I was a bit sad at first sniff of GC because it smells so similar to Crystal Noir, HOWEVER…GC is the more sophisticated and wintery cousin of Crystal Noir. GC lives in London and is independent and highly intelligent. She is about her business and knows her worth. She leaves for work dressed in a gorgeous wool coat and pencil skirt but slips into a pair of sweats and gets cozy on her couch in the evenings. She knows what she wants and is comfortable in her skin! Crystal Noir…well, she’s younger and more spicy. Not as cozy as her cousin. She likes to go out and enjoy a night on the town. She might smoke an occasional cigarette. She’s sometimes moody but not for long…she’s sassy and is not afraid to hold her own. 💃🏽

PCS like the description says is a woman teasing “not tonight” but what I anticipated would be some piercing, bold man killer scent is not that at all. She’s flirty, fruity and sensual. My only qualm as are most BDK is they don’t project, you have to come up very close to smell the fragrance and I always overspray my BDKs (I also have bouquet from hongrie, used to have tubereuse Imperiale). PCS shares this same softness.. the opening can be a bit challenging with the pepper, pear and mandarin. I’d say it’s a muted, leaning sour-ish fruit. The mid and dry down is lovely tho where all the jasmine and orange blossoms come out.. I have had people comment it smells like La Belle but tone down the sweetness by 50% and you get this earthy, fruity, ginger cocktail. The beauty of it is it’s versatile, you could wear it to the office, you could wear it for a date... it’s super chic and classy. I’d say she’s a free spirit, traveler, loves the beach and nature, flirty, but still a sweet person. Very unique fragrance.
Yesterday I was at the mall and I fell in love with Jo Malone’s Mimosa & Cardamom and Jasmine Sambac & Marigold. I couldn’t buy them though because my hubby is with me 😂 Anyway, have you tried Rose Omeyyade? Is that similar to Scherzo?

Haha yes Mimosa & Cardamom is wonderful too. Rose Omeyyade is a beautiful jammy rose. Quite intoxicating too but totally different to Scherzo
