We have reviewed another famous Wolfgang-named steakhouse in NYC, the steakhouse opened by former Peter Luger employee Wolfgang Zwiener, named fittingly Wolfgang's Steakhouse. It is an excellent steakhouse and one of the best steakhouses in NYC, but I have heard that the other Wolfgang steakhouse is also excellent. This one is opened not by Wolfgang Zwiener, but by the celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck! CUT By Wolfgang Puck holds a Michelin Star at its Beverly Hills, CA location. In this video, we ate at the NYC location of CUT by Wolfgang Puck.
While Wolfgang Puck's reputation precedes him, I have become wary of celebrity chef restaurants. While there are no shortage of NYC celebrity chef restaurants, often times celebrity chefs are primarily known for their on-camera personalities than for being great restauranteurs. However, the original location of CUT by Wolfgang Puck holds one Michelin star, so I am interested in trying it!
This will be my first time ever trying what I hear is one of the best Wolfgang Puck restaurants. Regardless of the man's fame and reputation, the restaurant will be judged fairly as if it were a completely unknown restaurant. We'll see if Wolfgang Puck's steakhouse is one of the best steaks in NYC! I hope you enjoy!

Asked my kids why they watch someone else play game while playing game and here I am watching UA eat steak while eating steak.
The next step will be eating steak while watching someone watching someone eat steak
@@uaeats it's a thing. There are plenty of reaction channels out there and inception type reactions are around. I've watched a few videos of "professional chefs" reacting to Uncle Roger videos where Uncle Roger is reacting to Jamie Oliver or Gordon Ramsay or some other cooking video.
Hitting Cinemas near you soon. Steak-ception starring UA and EndlessFairyTale.

"it still very much tastes like bread" after biting a piece of bread.
Masterful as always UA Holmes.
😂
too good

😂
I feel like i cant justify steakhouses anymore. Buying prime ribeye at costco for $25/lb and cooking it on my charcoal grill is even better than the restaurant for 1/5 of the price!
I agree.
Thanks!
Wow thank you for your generosity!
@@uaeats I like your content, UA. Keep it up!
How big did you expect a 6oz steak to be?
Too small.
12oz? 😂
Lmao right this dude needs too go back too desk job
i mean it's one and half mcdonalds quarter pounder with cheese patty

I am happy that you had the chance to visit and dine at CUT by Wolfgang Puck NYC. I believe the original CUT in Beverly Hills has a Michelin star, So if you have another chance one day to try the CUT in Beverly Hills, it would be fun to hear your experience compared with the one here in NYC or any other CUT locations.
The fry sauce is Old Bay Aioli. I went down a rabbit hole to find that out. 😂
That sauce was for the steak. It’s bearnaise sauce
@@qbcomicaddict2590 hum. On their menu online it says Old Bay Aioli is served with the fries. Maybe you’re right.
I didn’t even ask, but Old Bay Aioli sounds delicious and I can’t wait to try it.
@@-SarahElizabeth- nah you are right. the other person did no research on it
UA as the menu listed, that was a basque cheesecake which are smoother and more softer than New York style. In Spain, the cheesecake is actually liquidity and in my opinion one of the best.
Great review UA. To me, that $55 price seemed more than reasonable for a restaurant in Manhattan, and the amount of foodyou had. Glad you had a tasty meal. 😊
For $55 a person that doesn't seem like a small steak portion size IMO, especially given the quality and other items included. Either way, great review UA!
Agreed. For 55 bucks to get all of that I would think is actually a pretty good deal. Maybe it looked smaller in person?
$55 is cheap
Just think he could also have had a carpaccio as starter instead of the apple salad. Definitly a good deal.
$55 bucks for that quality of food is a deal👍
Yeah all things considered it was not a bad price
Yeah looks like good deal to me! I dont really need to eat a huge 150 dollar steak, small portion with sides is good for me, as long as the quality is good.
@@samuraidoggy It's a good deal considering the price of these fine restaurants these days.
@@skatingcanuck9837 Also from the drinks. Our UA is a bad customer since he doesnt drink wine lol.
You're kidding right?
It’s great to see your channel growing. As having been watching for a while, I feel just happy. Keep it up!
UA congratulations on the sponsorships, so cool to see you turn your hobby into a business.
The space looks great. I've eaten at his spot in Vegas a few times. Always a very good experience. One of the things I enjoy about your reviews is you speak like a everyday person. Too many people on social media try much too hard. They use all the critics buzzwords and they sound ridiculous.
LOL That olive oil is so extra virgin it can quote every line from every Star Wars movie. That is funny!
Glad to see your taste buds are intact post-COVID. Always glad to see a steak review, especially one as glowing as this.
So glad you are out and about and feeling better. I was having video withdrawals.
Me too. Was itching to post again
Wolfgang Puck (best known for his restaurant Spago) is legit. Almost all of his places are on the west coast though. I've been to his places a few times, all were very good. I'll have to check out Cut.
Thanks again for the review heading down there in a couple of weeks. Glad he did. It made my mind up.
UA excellent as always! You are really hitting your stride. Great ad too. You are a natural. Congratulations on your well deserved success! Cheers From Buffalo! Get over here! Wings and Beef on Weck!
Always nice to watch a review that gets a very high recommendation. Thanks for taking us out to lunch!
The amount of high-quality steak for $55 was great! CUT here in the Middle East is always on point when I go there, so it seems they maintain the same quality in all their restaurants.
I don't understand the complaints about the portion. The server told you it was 6oz of steak, and that's what you received.
Great review UA. I enjoyed the information and your insight. Well done! Keep up the great work! Looking forward to your next review.
Hey UA! Just watched your review of CUT. Liked your review. Have you tried
The Strip House down by NYU yet? I believe there are other locations, but the NYU location was where I had what I thought to be on of my top 3 steaks in NYC. Also Del Friscos Double Eagle Steak House in the MaGraww Hill building by Radio City is in my top 3.
Happy Steak dinners to you! Looking forward to your next reviews….
The best sides I've ever had with steak were from CUT in London. The creamed spinach is delicious and the portion huge. And given how spinach cooks down, super generous
The sauce looks like it could be a bernaise
Yea the Cut is deffo one of my favourites. I first went there in London. And then on a visit to NYC just went for drinks and their bar food was top tier so ended up having dinner there a few nights after
Glad you feel better UA! thanks for the vids
That other sauce was for your steak .......let's get it together here bro !! 😮
Yes. It was bearnaise sauce for the steak.
The server didnt say nuthin.. how wud he know? I wouldnt know..
@@cjyoung4080 duh !!
Nice review UA. I love te look of the apple salad. Was there a dressing on it? Lemon? I figure there must be something that is preventing the apple from browning (unless they’re cut to order) I saw the walnuts - yum! Your steak looked excellent though I’d more than likely have eaten some with the sauce and the fries, rather than all separate. On the dessert plate the flowers (pansies)were also edible - I’d most likely have eaten more of the strawberry sauce with it too. That type of cheesecake is meant to be dry. It is a pleasure seeing how much you enjoyed everything. Cheers!
Hey UA!
Good to hear you're feeling better bud! Seems like you thoroughly enjoyed this meal and I'd really be curious to see you try their Aussie Wagyu upon a revisit!
Also, as i mentioned in a few other older videos, if you're ever in the Astoria area of Queens, give Christos steakhouse a try. I haven't been there in a long time but it used to be delicious! Hopefully it still is!
Cheers!
Love to see you eat, UA! ❤Okay, the last Wolfgang Restaurant was "Zener." So Wolfgang "Puck's" Restaurant "Cut" is where you are now! Okay, got it! ❤❤❤❤❤
Hi UA. Glad you are feeling better buddy. Nice review. Yeah for what you are paying the portions should be bigger on everything. It’s Wolfgang Puck, nobody is going to tell him not to skimp. 😂 Glad you enjoyed everything. Thanks man.👋🏽
The light yellow sauce is probably beaunaise sauce, a French sauce that can be used for various things, but it is also used as an accompanyment sauce for steak.
You ordered a six ounce steak and complained about the size? Glad you enjoyed it though, good review.
Welcome back!! Great review. So spot to see you getting salad and dessert.
Another great review - thank you!
My office used to be literally right across the street from there and I saw the Four Seasons (in which the restaurant is located) being built from my office window. It’s sad how empty the restaurant is for a weekday lunch. NYC is still not fully back, especially the business districts.
I've never had a bad meal at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant! Also, when she says they are hand-cut fries made in house, they are that indeed. Thanks for another great video!
perfect review ,now i know what to espect ...Merci UA
I want to go there for lunch next time I'm in NYC!
When he closes his eyes I know he loves it.
you know when he does that, massive computations are being calculated in his head
His eyes aren't closed
When "work" means you go to a steakhouse, you know you have a good job. Good to see the content back UA!
Great, honest review as usual. Thanks bud!
It was lunch UA, hence smaller portion size regarding the steak. It looked reasonably to me, plus it was a 3 course meal. More than enough to fill most people for lunch. If you wanted a larger steak, then you should of order it from the main menu. Be realistic regarding your expectations and it was only $55 .
It may be a small portion... bro you ordered a 6oz steak how much did you think u would be getting???
I’d like to see you review 212 Steakhouse! The only restaurant on the East coast that serves authentic Japanese Kobe beef. Happy to join you!
Another awesome video UA❤❤
That seems like a great value lunch offer 👍Great review UA - keep it up!
Glad you are feeling better. I have to try Cut Restaurant. I was wondering if you can try Capital Grille in Wall Street. There steak is so good. Love to see your review with that Restaurant.
I think you are spot on about this being a business lunch for you. If this is your job, you were on the clock basically. Steak looked really nice also, as did the heirloom salad.
That looks like a good deal at $55 and the steak does look like a proper 6oz. Nice to see your 1st run at Basque cheesecake. That meal is Top
God DAMN people were droping stuff left right and center in that place LMAO 😂😂😂
Awesome video UA 🔥🔥🔥
Yeah a lot of butterfingers that day!
Ua ordered a 6oz steak and expected a 16 oz. 😂. Steak looks amazing. Great review
Hey I.A. Eatery, is there a remote possibility you can visit and professionally review "Chef Vola's" in Atlantic City ?!? The crew over here would really value your insight on this exclusive dining establishment's offerings. Many Thanks Yo ! 🔜. 🔪 🍽️. 👏
I went to Wolfgang Puck’s CUT in Las Vegas at the Palazzo, the service and the food was outstanding.
I can't remember the last time you liked everything at a single restaurant. CUT's business lunch looked really affordable. Nice review.
Wolfgang taste of New York set lunch pretty good deal too...comes with sizzling plate of sirloin about 10oz, mash potatoes, cream spinach and NY cheesecake for similar price
Great video UA. I'm glad to see you have recovered and out and about again. The food looked delicious, however, I want bigger steak 😂😂
Thank you! It's good to be back. Yes the food was great but just a slightly bigger steak would've been perfect!
@@uaeats then maybe order a bigger portion than 6oz ? i mean what do you expect lol 🤦🏾♂️
Business lunch for them in the restaurant, paid by the company, but you solo, expense out of your own pocket, but for the business too! (So what!? No one's business, right?) Thanks😀 it was exactly what I needed the word. I am always solo in a restaurant and used to feel bad about it, but from now on, I can tell myself, I am here for the business!
“Feeling well enough to go to work again.” Yeah, hopefully you feel well enough to eat fancy steak 😂
The extra virgin joke was stellar 🤣
This looks fantastic. Only experience I have had is at his restaurant in the Greenville SC airport. Got a burger while waiting for a flight, and it was greasier than hell. Only finished half of it.
Great Videos UA. But yeh a 6 OZ steak is usually is found in a kid’s menu.
Its lunch 😂
The sear on that steak was on point. If this place was in Jersey, I would run there. I’ve been to a number of WP’s restaurants, in Cali. Always top shelf. 🥩
If you're ever in Los Angeles, I would totally go to the Cut in Beverly Hills - the room is gorgeous and one of my favorite steaks around (I'm from NYC originally and my top two steak houses are probably Sparks and Keens (and Cote if you count that as a steakhouse)).
Miyazaki a5 is actually probably better than Kobe beef. Kobe is just a big brand name, but a lot (most?) other famous wagyus within Japan actually rank higher. So, that’s good!
Can I ask what percentage do you tip, generally speaking. Thanks.
Definitely a cut above!!! Pun intended!😉😜
Hopefully this joke will age well (also pun intended)
Congrats on 60k!!!!
That steak is a nice size for lunch. And $55 for all of that is pretty good value.
I love how your work its eating expensive food. You lucky bastard! Also wed love to see some more Michelin start restaurants. So many great one stars, never mind two or three
Thanks for your review. Durirng this experience you were suppose to eat the apple slaw with the endive together. Love you review of the steak knife the steak is the small portion you ordered ast described as the waiter. Out of all the steaks on the menu this was the cheapest. When you say your unsure, what you are eating or the preparation -- I think "Why didn't he..." just ask the waiter or the chef - don't guess.
Folks on business are not paying for their lunch.
Cut in Beverly Hills is awesome. Gotta try the NYC one now.
I think for $55 the portions looked fine. Don’t knock it before you try it!
Mate you have to review cote the Korean bbq steak house would be fun to see the review
hey! you're never eating alone, you're eating with 80,000 of us, on the business of good food!
I have no issues spending, but always need to get value for my spend - I'd say everything seems about 10-20% overpriced to me. There really isn't any reason for a half dozen oysters to be $36, for example - that's outrageous and I'd expect to eat some that are impossible to find anyplace else if I spend that much.
Focaccia looked pretty awesome. I also think you're correct about the salad - the apple was given that julienne cut to help balance the dish and keep you from getting a huge hit of sour apple in a single bite. Also just easier to eat overall.
It Was a 6oz steak you had 6 x pieces and each slice looked like they woukd weigh an ounce so no issue as I could see. Great review and value for money 😊
15:54 “lets just put this whole butt end in my mouth” 😂😂😂😂😂
glad to see that gordon and wolfgang are both legit! gordon's is well out of my price range, but i may try this one! looks like they fed you pretty well
I like Cut. Went there 2010 and had A5 Wagyu and a few more times since. Good times.
I have eaten there. Good food and friendly, professional staff 👍
Good job as always
With great respect, Wolfgang Puck is not a celebrity chef, he’s a legend.
I've always like Wolfgang Puck restaurants
You need to go check out Sammys Fish Box in the bronx.. they are known for seafood, but they have four steaks on the menu. The most expensive one is a 20oz bone in USDA Prime ribeye and its only $56. I'd be interested to know if their steaks are as good as the seafood supposedly is.
I didn't know that covid was still a thing.
I mean it is but some people are still stuck in the emergency part of it
The fry sauce is an aioli/ mayo based sauce.
CUT is famous in my country too, and the branch has a michelin star
You should do a fan meet up in NYC
I’ve been in Cut Los Angeles but I was not impressed,I had to make cook my ribeye twice since it was too rare ,not a good searing on the outside.I’m gonna try the one in NY next time!👌🙏🏻
Maybe give a DELCO food tour why don’t we? 😁 Great video. That steak looked amazing.
That olive oil is so extra virgin it can quote every line of every Star Wars movie. I’m still giggling oh my lawd.
Apples are blanched quickly to get that flavor, The steak portion was right on point, it said 6oz and that was 6oz also dry aged would not have bleed any juice. If it says dry aged and it has juice that isn’t butter like in Lugers or Wolfgangs then it should not have any juice
No one's blanching apples bruh
That steak looks amazing. Great review.
Might check it out it’s right next 2️⃣ my college as well BMCC
super considerate of you wearing the mask when ordering, even though you feel fine! I respect you a lot Mr. UA!!
Agreed; but the MAGAs don't get that it's got nothing to do with your 'freedom'; it helps but doesn't eliminate chance of transmission. These MAGAs should insist their neurosurgeon operate without a mask. Dumb.
I'm happy you are healthy again. I agree that salad looked ugly but when you revealed the shreds were the apple, I could suddenly imagine the entire concept working. The steak looked gorgeous as you said, and I think I would have been happy with the portion, but you're younger and healthier than this senile old man, so maybe next time you should get the 12oz? Actually, this may be sacrilegious seeing as I'm Japanese, but I don't really like Wagyu in steaks, and prefer tougher but very beefy US Prime. I agree with you; the plating of the cheesecake--I don't care for what I feel is over-emphasis on artistic presentation--the food itself should be paramount. I usually have something critical to say; which in this case is, you should never feel guilty about ordering what is called a 'business' lunch even if you are not conducting business with other people. Lawyers or real estate brokers, major corporations even more so are happy to deduct 'business expenses' from their taxable incomes; a SERIOUS business lunch may include bottles of $1000 wine--I think there was a story maybe five years ago about how several young bucks at a London investment bank were fired after they ordered 20000 GBP (don't remember exactly) of rare wines as part of a business lunch. I think the hype here is that people do have business lunches here, but unlike the $500 prix fixe places that people assume only those on corporate budgets can afford, here you can get something comparable for a reasonable price.
