The warden is a boss Mob in Minecraft where it runs off of sound to find people. When you go into a deep dark biome and be to loud you can accidently summon a Warden. The warden will go off of your footsteps and sounds you make to find you. Which is actually really well shown at 2:06 ! The warden never knows where you are as long as you don't make a sound!! Yes the warden can also smell you but once it’s locked on you it’s nearly impossible to get it off so best either leave the game if it’s multiplayer but if single play than you better hope you have a straight path to get out of his range of detection or prepare to die

The gimmick of the deep dark is it's all sensitive to sound. Some of the plants can pick up on noises made by the player, and emit their own screeches that trigger wardens to spawn. Wardens are extremely deadly enemies that hunt you by the sound your player makes, and can also afflict you with a blindness debuff.
Honestly I feel like it makes sense either way as when you see the eyes becoming more red it’s meaning they are being removed. You see the result of this on the EK ending while the ending of Dan shows how while he may feel that he has escaped he is still in danger as the Warden is still watching over him on the surgery table.

The warden is boss and lives a ancient city deep deep deep underground and he is blind but hears everything if you make a skulk shriker go off 4 times from making nosies he will rise and look for you you biggest mistake is trying to run away from him because he will hear you and chase you when he catches you 2 to 3 hits you dead even whit the best armour I tested whit no armour and instant 1 shot oh and if he walks into you he can tell your a human by touching you and then kills you
