The Colombian Pacific coast is a hidden gem, it's just beginning to open to tourism so for most part is very small tourism still , is a very special place because or it's nature and raw Beauty, I want to go there one day hopefully.

The Pacifico hostel is on an island and you crossed the river that can only be crossed when the tide is low. It’s a spectacular place but I wouldn’t want to be lost in that town Juanchaco when the sun sets. I’m glad everything worked! Loved this Vlog.

I would have been petrified to jump into the hole in the rock when youbwere doing the waterfall tour. Thank you for filming your journey :) i am going to South America at the end of the year. I am getting a Working Holiday Visa to Chile.
Update. Meals at hostels are now 30milcop And tour 75cop to waterfalls. Hardly anyone at all staying on weeknights aside from holidays. A new hostal Manigua with privates and 5 5 bed dorms is now a good alternative because they amenities are better with ac or fans in room, plus in room dill bathrooms and view of Juanchaco beaches and port. No rustic mosquito net beds. Less of a backpacker vibe. I'm the only one staying mon- wed nights in late Feb. A bit lonely but 53k per night with breakfast. Catch is you have to swim a small channel or contact an employee to boat you across. At lowest tide you can wade across knee deep. Can still visit Pacifico but Manigua hostal put up a tall barbed wire fence in between making it necessary to wade the channel again to access a different stairway to the trail connecting Juanchaco to Pacifico probably what she took. Its quicker to explore west side beaches from Juanchaco
Bahia Malaga, located in the Uramba National Park, is mostly known for humpback whales who grace Colombia’s Pacific waters between June and November, but also worth a visit because of its mind boggling ecological diversity.

Does Colombia have good public transit? While in Spain at Andalusia I was able to get almost anywhere via bus. That’d be a good thing to know en el futuro. 👍
The country has a pretty robust network of highways, however depending on the time of year like rainy season, some might be closed and alternative routes are long. Colombia has three long mountain ranges through the middle. So it has virtually no straight roads. Sometimes it is best just to fly, it's pretty common and now you can find at least two low cost airlines. Bogota-Medellin was like 50 USD last time I checked for the round trip.
Is great to see adventurers like you visiting developing countries..this blog was very good and funny at moments 😂 ..your stay in Colombia is probably going to be short. ..I recommend you see in you tube : Adventure Colombia. And they show amazing clips ( Andes Colombia, travel to cerros de mavecure and tuparro, cabo de la vela etc...) next time you can try some of those. Ps. If you learned to *salsa* that good and fast, Spanish is going to be not trouble at all..

I was there in 2006 and then 2008 to live for 2.5 years. I stayed in hostels and small houses. I didn’t speak Spanish at all. Now I speak almost fluently as I’ve kept it up. I worked in Colombia in the university teaching English to students. Then I went back to Brazil to live there. At age 44 to 50. I don’t regret it even though my life is tough right now as I swapped a corporate job for a non materialistic life. The tax office pursue me for the tax I don’t owe as I was out of the country. This country is so rigid and inflexible it depresses me . I dream of travelling again away from this nonsense. Next time I wouldn’t come back. Here is a ream of rules and regulations. Everyone strives for better education and money but now look......neither has stopped nature. Respect the Amazon .....I was there and the tourists were lifting sloth animals out of trees, crocodilians from the river and touching rare species and generally disturbing the eco system. I stood back and said no - don’t touch the animals. Where did the virus come from - humans hunting animals and touching them. That is what we must show in videos too. How to interact and behave in nature. We are the problem not the viruses.
60000 that equal almost $19 ,still expensive .and the breakfast looks unhealthy disgusted, that's way I don't go hostel out of nowhere cuz they took advantage of you

Had a nice trek it sounds like. The backpacking banana actually had to backpack! The place looks like fun, but I was expecting a back flip into the water. The handstand on the paddle board makes up for it though. Can't wait to see more of your adventure!
I’m going on a volunteering trip in Bolivia this summer and I’m so excited but nervous! I’m definitely going to travel after but only have about 2 or 3 weeks before I have to come back to the UK for uni 😭

I wonder how humid it is there. When I went to Ecuador and Colombia recently I was expecting very high humidity, but not a single place I went was noticeably humid. I can see now that the Caribbean coast of Colombia and part of the Ecuadorian coast are fairly temperate - there are cacti all over. Even places where it rained daily did not feel humid to me, but you can tell by looking at Google Maps the Pacific coast of Colombia is very green, so I bet it's more humid than anywhere I went. Just thinking out loud here...

I've got everywhere I needed to by bus ... So I guess yes! I've also had to get a lot of taxis when actually travelling around towns/cities
