I love that you spend longer in one country and really explore the area instead of having the goal of going to as many countries as possible like some other travel youtubers
You are a large part of my life inspiration. I've absolutely loved coming along to Colombia with you. Thank you for being your amazing self and sharing your life with us ❤
Soy Colombiana y Vivo en Australia. Durante esté Lockdown me sentí un poco homesick, extrañaba mucho mi país, mi gente, mi familia. Encontré tus videos y me hicieron muy feliz. Gracias
I've been watching your videos for a couple years now, and I really love that you spend extended periods of time traveling one country and really getting to experience it. I feel like so many people are trying to see how many countries they can get to than actually experiencing a country.
This video is AMAZING! Thank you very much!! I am planning a solo trip to Colombia (as I am a salsa dancer, Cali will be for sure part of my itinerary!) and this video about your experience helps me a lot. A video about security in Colombia would be awesome. Let's hope this pandemic comes quick to an end and we'll travel again soon. thank you for being so inspiring! :)
wow I'm going to Columbia and I envisioned some of the stuff you did I'm doing but there's so much more that you did that looks very intriguing you have me rethinking my whole vacation. I feel like your videos are good enough to be sponsored. I'm already going but if I wasn't and I saw this Columbia would instantly turn into a number one destination for me after watching your videos
Love your videos! Came back to this one in advance of a trip to colombia later this year. I got stuck and just watched the entire series again even though I only needed into from one of the vids - they are just so watchable and full of interesting info and I love how grounded and straightforward you are, I feel like I'm getting a really honest review of your experience of a place! thanks for taking the time to make these videos!
I'm going to be honest, I didn't think I was ever going to be interested in visiting Colombia but the whole Colombia series made me realize how beautiful it is!!! Favorite one yet!! My favorite part of the day is watching your videos, the closest I'll be to traveling in the foreseeable future!!
you're honestly my favourite travel youtuber! i love that you go so in depth with your videos and explanations and your positive attitude and editing style makes hours of videos so easy to watch :) looking forward to your breakdown videos and hopefully will use them to go to columbia post covid! :)

Missing Villa de Leyva was a big no no no. Maybe one of the most beautiful places of Colombia is in that whole region of Boyacá.
My Grandparents lived in Cali for a year and a half in the 80's and they always loved it. I loved this series. thank you for sharing your travels and tips!
I absolutely love your videos! A perfect travel inspiration! 😍 Columbia will be the first country I will travel to (oversea) after the Pandemic will be more or less over. I'm really looking forward to further videos from you, the Spanish Phrases Video would be great! 😊😎 What are you planning to do in England the next months? 😊 Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹
Yes to the video about the best phrases to know before you go! I did Spanish for A level but have forgotten most of it and am hoping to pick it back up by travelling to South America but it would be good to know what phrases to know before heading out there. Love your vlogs so much! You're so relatable and inspiring - and love these kind of videos which give me the confidence to travel to different countries with some knowledge
I was in SE Asia and woke up to the news of Caroline Flack and I starting sobbing on my bed, I was so shocked. I rarely get sad at the death of celebs, but that one really hit me hard. That really sucks about Cole's wallet, I hope he managed to sort something out. Would be interested to watch a video on which countries are on your bucket list once the pandemic is over :) x
What an amazing highlights montage! Looks like a incredible trip, looks like you've had some unreal experiences and made loads of amazing people! Really enjoyed this video...you've definitely added another place to my list!!! 😁💙🌍
I've just binge watched this whole Columbia trip. Amazing trip! I've been so curious about Columbia and going to learn Spanish. I enjoyed every Vlog, but I enjoyed Salsa in Cali best! Looks like you have memories to last a lifetime. I hope to visit once Covid goes away! Thanks for all the great vids and helpful info!
Hi Christianne you defiantly packed alot into that tour .... I missed two but have since caught up ... you came back with some great footage of Columba .yes I could really understand how excited you would have been getting across south America .I've aways wanted to go to Guadlahara ..that MUST be the next adventure south America And Mexico....surely,?? Great to see you looking very well !!!
You should do a best kind of travel clothes haul video and tell some good places where to find those. At least I struggle to find especially some good floaty lightweight pants with POCKETS which are still fashionable! Love your videos. 🌴☀️
Yes please to the Spanish video! I’m doing an online Spanish course and this would massively help 🤩 I’m looking forward to your vid on safety in Colombia too as I’m keen to travel there. Love all your vids- massive travel inspiration 🍌
Great diving spot outside of Cartagena is called Isla Marina off Punta Baru. Just did that magnificent Coral reef wall. Recommend for all you divers out there.
What about the Llanos? South America's answer to the Serengetti, did you get there? I hear Hato La Aurora is up & coming. I think a "backpacker Spanish" vid is a great idea!!
Yes, please make a backpacker Spanish video! Christianne you're such an inspiration. I would love to have a ''digital nomad'' job so I could work anywhere in the world! One day.... 😅🙌😍
I’m 26 years old and have been to El Salvador many many times! I highly recommend visiting when you get the chance to again. It has such a special place in my heart and it has shaped who I’ve become as a person. If you find yourself there someday soon, i recommend visiting “Lago de Coatepeque” :)
I was in El Salvador 2 months ago, but I had to leave due to rumors of them closing the borders! only got to El Tunco and Santa Ana, I would highly recommend
Absolutely obsessed with your videos, have been watching non stop 😂. Really inspiring me to go travel once it’s all safe, and just in general with confidence, so thank you! 😊 Ooh and yes please to the Spanish video ♥️
girrrrrl you have no idea how much I love living vicariously through you!! x'D I'm a nurse and I myself love travelling, but unfortunately cannot go on trips for longer than two weeks at a time. Yes to a spanish video! I speak spanish but this is definitely something that will help non-native speakers tremendously! Oh how I'd love to be your best friend lol (or simply bump into you one day lol)
I did minca and was going to do the lost city trek too didn't end up going and just stayed lazing about in palomino , I got home 1 day before the borders closed. Oh I'm really happy you said that about Cartagena I was going to go but didn't have time ,
The video of Spanish phrases would be incredible! I’m trying to relearn Spanish after not using it for years after my GCSEs so it would be great to know what you used on a day to day basis! I’m loving your videos at the moment, giving me all the travel inspiration for post-rona! 🌎
I've genuinely loved your Colombia videos, I had never really thought about travelling there but now I really think I'd love to (when it's possible to travel again of course). I would be really curious to see what phrases you found most useful in spanish, so definitely do that video. Seeing your content always puts a smile on my face, when you come to México (again in a future where travel is a possibility) I'd love to show you around. Hope you are good and safe in lockdown.
Thanks for the video! I remember walking over those wooden planks at around 1.15 in valle de cocora just 2 years ago. Such a beautiful country, I hope the crisis doesn't strike too hard over there. Greets from Germany
Sadly, this crisis is hitting specially hard across Latin America. Our region is, at this moment, the world epicenter of the pandemic and the economies were specially vulnerable and now are being ravaged by the strict and long quarantines.
maybe you could do an updated version on how you book your flights? I would love to do one-way ticket travelling, but especially one-way tickets on the original airline websites it’s a lot of the time like 5times more expensive than buying a return ticket? Also, maybe covering the trustworthiness or skyscanner momondo etc. I hope maybe my suggestion will bring new ideas;)
I relate so much to the denial, I was in New Zealand when everything blew up and there were ~10 cases there! Everything felt totally normal, I felt so safe, but I still had do make the impossible decision to go home. Looking at the news always makes me feel crazy conflicted to see how well New Zealand is doing now, they are already almost back to normal and I could be travelling the country again already... but you can’t change the past and New Zealand isn’t going anywhere :’) I’ll be back!
I love this. My plan to travel around Colombia in March-April 2021 is looking less and less likely, it is nice to at least see someone else's journey. I hope to make the trip at some point in the future but it might not be until 2022 now :(
I’m in the same boat! I was planning to leave in March 2021 but that no longer seems feasible :( now I’m loosely planning for December! It seems so far away
I live in Cali I think you might be alright for march, they are opening up the resturants and hostels gradually we only in Agustin , and I rekon by November international flights will be returning .
I’d love to see a video of you rough planning your future travels while in lockdown! (If you are doing so) I’m having a hard time figuring out how to plan where to go next and would love to see how you work through it amidst all the uncertainty :) Also I LOVE your videos and they’ve been so great to watch while we can’t travel!!!
I felt the exact same way about Cartagena! I was so excited to visit and found myself pretty underwhelmed once I got there. I think the hype is mainly because of the colorful, insta-opportunity houses.... do it for the gram, I guess!
Looking forward to the safety vlog. Also, I feel bad that I laughed about the "mozzies." I didn't know what they were until I saw the picture...(oh mosquitoes) ouch!
I went to Peru without knowing too much Spanish. You can get around but I will say it gets..tiring at times. Not being able to fully express yourself. I was volunteering and nobody spoke English which was great. I was able to improve and when I would go to my hostel, it was nice to speak with other non-Spanish speaking travelers.
Just found your channel! I was actually in a very similar situation...I was on my year abroad in Mexico and was deciding to stay until the FCO changed their recommendations...then I got stuck there for about a month with flights being cancelled etc lol. Anyways I was meant to be travelling Colombia this summer so really nice to be able to see your videos as a next best option :)
I am heading to Colombia as soon as things are back to normal, once there I will be starting my country. I booked my flight for July but think it will be cancelled. Great content, as always.
I would love a video about basic spanish phrases! :D I am glad you could almost finish your trip in Colombia! I wasn't so lucky with the Philippines and had to leave after two weeks instead of eight...
Hey, did you end up doing a video on your thoughts on safety over in Colombia? I had a quick look but couldn't see it, I'm going to head there for XMAS and NYE, it would be helpful ! Thank you

Honestly, I wish my life had taken a similar path to yours when I was your age... hindsight is such a wonderful thing... would love to go travelling so much but I just don't think it will happen for me now...x
I most absolutely adore all your content! I know all the corona crisis is going on, but do you have any future plans about coming to Brazil? Lots of love and stay safe
I think it’s very important to learn Spanish when you travel around. It’ll show respect to the people and the country. People will help you and your experience will be much better.
just a psa to anyone unaware: spanish in spain and spanish in latin america do have some different words! it’s not a huge difference and shouldn’t cause concern but just to let anyone know who was unaware and may experience some confusion while learning the language
When the quarantine is over, I hope Netflix buys this series so we can get nonstop travel videos from Backpacking Bananas.
yes to spanish video!!!
🤓
Definitely!!
Yesss you should do that Spanish phrases video! It’s a really good idea! Love you and your videos! 🤩🙌🙌
Yup, spanish video would be great! :)
Yes !!!!b
I love that you spend longer in one country and really explore the area instead of having the goal of going to as many countries as possible like some other travel youtubers
“Sold to the dirty backpacker who needs to get home” voice and all made my morning....
Stay safe 🥰🕉🙏
Seeing you scratch Colombia off of your map was so *chef’s kiss* perfect❤️❤️
😅🤓
You are a large part of my life inspiration. I've absolutely loved coming along to Colombia with you. Thank you for being your amazing self and sharing your life with us ❤
Thank you for watching! ❤️❤️ Always a pleasure xx

after covid 19 is gone; everything is closed down here.
Hi! I LOVE your content and how you manage to stay genuine despite the quite high number of subscribers
Thanks lovely ❤️❤️ nice suggestion, I'll add it to the list xx
don't take any vaccine. They are killing you slowly.
My Grandparents lived in Cali for a year and a half in the 80's and they always loved it. I loved this series. thank you for sharing your travels and tips!

Literally finished the Columbia vlogs this morning! Was getting post-vlog depression, this is perfect timing! 😭😍
Sarabdeep Rai Hi! The name of the country is ColOmbia, not ColUmbia. Have a good day!
I was in SE Asia and woke up to the news of Caroline Flack and I starting sobbing on my bed, I was so shocked. I rarely get sad at the death of celebs, but that one really hit me hard. Great video! Can‘t wait to watch your next adventure.
Thanks Miguel!
Great series Christi! The Caribbean side videos, though, really got me going!
you inspire me to follow my dream to travel the world every single day

For us Americans, I think "mozzies" are mosquitoes 🦟, great video
They are indeed my guy 👍
So much information! Thankyou.
The dancing part was very impressive I remember you saying you didn't know how to dance salsa next thing you know you're doing flips

The montage of your trip was nice to see! The questions were great. Never thought of going to Columbia but now...who knows?
Colombia no columbia
Hey, did you end up doing a video on your thoughts on safety over in Colombia? I had a quick look but couldn't see it, I'm going to head there for XMAS and NYE, it would be helpful ! Thank you
I LOVE your travel content! Unfortunately I also had to return home early from travelling due to COVID but your content has inspired me to start my own channel now! I released a couple of videos about travelling to Australia at 17 last week and would love some support/feedback so would be super super grateful if you could check it out! xx
Nice one!!
Awesome content, just subbed all the best

PLEASE COME TO EL META!!!! Its half of the country in extension and FULL of AMAZING THINGS to do
Makes me so happy to see you scratch countries off your scratch map!! Hahaha
Are you still interested in doing a video on commonly used Spanish phrases, please? It would be soooo helpful!
Thanks so much for the video! I'd love to know if you brought a small laptop with you to research and make plans along the way? Or did you just use your phone?
Heyyy! Yes Pleaseee can you make a video on Spanish phrases that are useful to know when travelling to Colombia, I hope to travel there next year but not great at language learning !

Hello! Discovered your TH-cam a week ago and loving your videos! Was just wondering what apps you use to find last minute hostels and airbnb's? I'm going to be doing some backpacking for the first time in Australia next year and worried about not being able to find last minute accommodation close to wherever I end up x
Hostelworld, booking.com and air BnB are all you need! There is always something xx
@@BackpackingBananas thank you very much!
I would love the spanish backpacking phrases video!!
Honestly, I wish my life had taken a similar path to yours when I was your age... hindsight is such a wonderful thing... would love to go travelling so much but I just don't think it will happen for me now...x
Why? It's never too late! Please do it!
I most absolutely adore all your content! I know all the corona crisis is going on, but do you have any future plans about coming to Brazil? Lots of love and stay safe
Uau, fantastic video and fantastic contents. I love you
Awesome video Christie 😊👍👍
