I’ve now watched this video 3 times! I recently commented (on another channel) that I love the design of the Audi RS Etron GT Performance and it’s my favourite EV up to £250k but it’s still a milk float! I don’t care that it would probably be faster than the Nismo GTR it will never ‘stirr your soul’ like the GTR. I think I would even pick a GTR instead of a 911 Turbo S. Sad times when a car like the GTR is confined to the history books 😢 One of my life’s many regrets is that I buggered up and never got to own or at least drive a GTR. Thanks again Ped (this is my second comment - that’s how much it’s moved me) for bringing us this perfect combo of car and road
They are special. I remember driving my friend, Paul’s white litchfield tuned GTR that you drove years ago. That was epic so what the Nismo is like 😮. Great vid and superb roads.
Exhilarating review of one of my favourites, alongside the R32. I am Checking out U tube after a long time. Glad your subscriptions have increased several fold since 2017. The swift boosterjet i bought thanks to your review is still there with me and piling on the miles without issue. Keep up the good work and wish you continued success!👍👍👍
Driven 4 GTR's on experience days over years and I still have a massive smile on my face thinking back to the first time and no car since has ever made me smile as much , be it a Ferrari, DB9 , Gallardo, R8 etc. In fact, I have another experience waiting to be booked, and I'll 100% have another couple of GTR drives out of the 6 I can pick to drive.
@PetrolPed Unfortunately for some reason this is the first time ive seen this car maybe I will try to find this vlog on your channel then pete!!🤔🤷🏻♂️👍🏻
@PetrolPed Just watched the Tokyo vlog with the GTR but lets face it pete not a proper drive really especially in the pissing hard of rain + no proper roads like you've just been on in this weapon!!👌🏻👍🏻
What a car, my favourite car ever! Never driven a Nismo GTR, but have been fortunate enough to drive a GTR! But that Nismo is something else. What an opportunity and thanks for sharing Pete..
When I worked in London for Trollope & Colls. We had to do a job in a Japanese School in London in the 80’s. We had a 20T load of sand delivered in the morning ready for the next Day. When we started work the next day I fully expected the sand to have been scattered and messed with. To my utter amazement and disbelief not one single footprint in the sand. If we had put that sand in any other school in the UK I think we would have had to order more.
I love the latest (last?) GTR - looks amazing, goes like stink and lots of tuning potential 😊 How a company that produces the Micra and the Juke can also build a car like this never ceases to amaze me. There must be some real enthusiasts at Nissan. Thanks for bringing this piece of heaven to us Ped - the car and the country.
I would say Japanese cars have the indicators on the correct side being designed as right hand drive cars from the outset. It allows you to use a manual gear change and indicate easily. Unlike the European designed cars which are configured primarily for left hand drive.
We went to Tokyo in June and up to Mount Fuji we went a lot slower in mini taxi views equally stunning and we saw the mountain in all its glory Japanese seem to drive slowly and carefully stunning country were everything works 😮
Back for my 5th viewing. I suppose I should at least get the model name right: GT-R What a car - thanks Nissan for producing this car at a time when I can dream. I’m 63 and this car will be in my top 10 all time favourites.
Iam really glad you loved the Nismo GTR it looks one special car 🚗 I was lucky enough to drive one on an internal track day at Silverstone courtesy of Nissan and I remember how special a car they are 🥰
Sorry had to laugh about your comment about the indicators being on the wrong side.😂 I am in Australia and we say that being on the right side of the steering column is the correct side. Understand if you are driving a left hand drive car that the indicators are on the left side of the steering column. Even when Ford started producing RHD Mustangs in late 2015 the indicators were on the right side of the steering column.
The reason they are on the right side of the steering wheel is so you could indicate with your right hand while changing gear with your left back in the days when manual gearboxes were prevalent. I don't know how the UK has coped all these years.
Look it’s full send Ped…….luxury garage getting built, great trips in Europe with the lovely wife and not forgetting the pups And to top it off your now jet setting around the world 😂 “ Winning” Japan looks stunning and they drive on the left 👍
What’s the road called? I’d like to drive it next time I’m there. I’m amazed there were no speed cameras. I’m glad there are roads in Japan where they can enjoy cars like the GT-R. Quite educational.
Hello Peter…What is the intention behind the weird comments of “praise” that keep appearing these days…what are they trying to achieve?? Anyway….well another car to remember and one that adds confusion over what we are supposed to buy now. We are pushed to an EV World but s many want ICE engines to survive….and my local Esso station has just spent a fortune on a brand new forecourt without a sign of an EV Charger so far! They must think it will work for them. I’m sure you enjoyed Japan and will off again soon…😃😃😃😃 Stay safe! 😃😃😃😃Richard P.S. Tracey needs a GTR for work…I think you should get her one!,😁😁
One of the best drives you will ever have ,what a car ,it's such a shame they no longer come to our shores ,be in no doubt that it would give the usual suspects a run for there money! 😂
It’s a thing. I promise. That shape on the bonnet is called a NACA Duct. A NACA duct, also sometimes called a NACA scoop or NACA inlet, is a common form of low-drag air inlet design, originally developed by the U.S. National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA), the precursor to NASA, in 1945 👍
And relex from gumball videos😅. Now we talking. I did a roadtrip with some other cars including a gtr and they are fast. Only in the hairpin i was faster with the mini😅

Wow … I watched you searching for positives on what was yet another overweight, overpriced electric SUV, but here your smile said it all - oh my days 😀
No commentary required comparing this ICE car and an EV. Your smile/grin says it all after driving the GTR.
Thanks 🙏🏻
EV’s will never be able to compare.
Love how the guy voluntarily pulled over for you :) What a road/car!
They do that all the time 👌
Unlike shithole UK
@@PetrolPed 😯
wow
How refreshing! In the UK the average Joe would be on maximum wind up! 😜
What a beast of a car, sadly won’t see anything like this again.
Everything about the GTR-Nismo is gorgeous including that beautiful paint colour.
It really is!
You know Pete's happy when he makes his own sound effects 😂. That was one happy drive.
😂😂😂
Dream car, Dream road, Dream country. A TH-cam video does not get much better. I've said it before but you really do have the best job ever.
The Nismo GTR is such a beast. Love it.

Hello Peter, great drive no doubt. Is that the Hakone turnpike? What a blessing that they have no speed cameras in Japan too!
I tested the Ariya Nismo on the Hakone Turnpike. This was just a few km away 👍
The four exhausts of the apocalypse....

Clearly 100 times more exciting than the Nissmo EV lol😅

Time for the R36 GTR.
Yep 👍
Has the GTR always sounded this good or is it that most cars nowadays have no character to their sound?
One of the reasons we don’t get it in the UK anymore 😢
Pete. Have you been contemplating on how you bought the wrong porsche?
LOL…maybe 😂

Di negara indonesia, pajak sangat tinggi. Sehingga mobil nissan GTR sebagai mobil sport mewah. Harganya $600.000. Nismo harga 3X pajak
Wow 😮
The GTR is a great car,but i always thought they were a bit big and to heavy, i bet it goes through brakes and tyre's quickly
Tyres certainly 😂

Good thing about Japan you can rent almost any JDM car while out there. Shame the UK nismos are mostly modified and ruined. 😂
I've never heard of a (K)Nacker Duct? 🤔

Search polite drivers in Japan, pulling to the side to let you pass! You would never see that in the UK!
