I saw a position for a patient rep needed at the hospital and wanted to see what it would be like. And so far I think it would be the perfect job for me, just what I assumed. Thanks for the video..
I have a telephone job interview coming up for patient service representative this Monday, and as I watch this video I am reminded of a possible interview question that may arise: "Tell me something about yourself?" My first thought is to highlight the things that I am not such as being a WORLD RENOWN PIANIST or TALENTED ARTIST, but, what I am is a person who can identify with people who want to be valued on any level. For example: I may not know what it's like to be a woman, but I do know what it's like to have a mother. I am not left handed, but, I rather have use of both my hands than just one. I don't stand 5' 5", but I do know what it's like to talk to someone whose taller than me.
No, I did not get the job (sad face) but I have developed a more solid answer to deliver to the interviewer pertaining to the question? Tell me something about yourself? What I desire to do for patients in both long term and short. Get patients into the system as quickly and accurately as possible. Ask relevant questions, all the while exhibiting a caring spirit with a smile. Thanks for asking Aya.
This sounds like such a rewarding career. Thank you for sharing.
Oh Thank you for this video! It's so amazing, I'm also a Patient Advocate, it sounds like a day in the life of me. I love my job, it's very rewarding.
