I just bought this vacuum today and didn't realise how small it was, put it together and had to laugh at how cute it looked but then I tried it and was shocked at how well it worked! It worked better than my full size eureka. I have 3 cats & 1 dog and it picks up fur great on the high pile rug in the livingroom. Love it! It cost $75 CAD at Walmart.
I found one on the side of the road in a free pile in the neighborhood I live in. My apartment has all bare floors & this does a good job cleaning them.
Did you know you can pop off the handle & snap it into the extension hose then add the extra tool heads to the handle...it makes the stairs & corner cleaning even easier
I LOVE my compact PowerForce!! I had recently bought a larger powerful One, but was experiencing trouble with my back, and decided to get a lightweight one. I LOVE THIS ONE!! It's POWERFUL & gets the job done, & it's SO much lighter & easer to move around. It's strong, easy to assemble, & I love being able to take it apart easily & wash it. I also added a fleece filter on the other side of the inner sponge filter. (there's already a white one on one end, but this one (just trace black sponge filter & cut to size) helps trap dirt, keep black filter cleaner, & I just wash it off & reuse it, with the rest of the stuff. (recommend you wash your vacuum often enough, after every or atleast every 2 uses) to keep dust & dirt from eating into parts & wearing them out earlier. It's well made, strong, durable & I bought ANOTHER as a gift for an elderly lady who LOVES hers too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AMAZING VACUUM CLEANER!!
I retrieved one today from the dumpster. I pluged it in and it was loud but didn't have other noticeable issues. I cleaned it and will keep it because it light and easy to use. I have retrieved 5 others from the dumpster and cleaned and tested them. The large SHARK has been my favorite of them so far.😊
I recently found a Bissell power force compact model 2112R by a dumpster. I cleaned it out, but the belt is busted because brushroll is seized on it. The brushroll seized because it got jammed up with cat hair. Yeah it’s cheap and it’s light but you got to frequently clean the cat hair out of the brush roller. I might recommend this model for people in small apartments, who have no pets.
These are awesome little vacuums. Although small and lightweight, the motor is powerful. To maintain it at peak performance there are things you need to do to it from time to time but the maintainance is simple and there are plenty if videos on TH-cam to show you how. I like to one commenters advice to put a piece of felt on the other side of the sponge filter. I used a cut to size piece of heavy duty paper towel instead. After 2 uses replace it with another piece, simple. Thanks for your review! 😊
I came here because I have a small apartment that needs a little cheap vacuum. Note to all. The handle doubles as part of the cleaning hose to make it longer. Great video, Thanks.
I purchased this product today and have been using it for the last hour It is lightweight, user friendly, and picked up a lot of dog hair. The canister part is small so I had to empty it quite often, but that is ok with me. I knew it was time to empty the canister when the pet hair and dust stopped spinning. Overall, I thik it is a nice vacuum for the price of 53.00 at Walmart. Just as a not, I have an expensive Dyson. This vacuum is very lightweight and easy on my 69 year old spine. I am glad I bought it. I watched your video when I got home and agree with what you said concerning it being lightweight and easy to empty. Thanks for the video. 😀
I just bought one because my little dirt devil just doesn't have enough suction for our carpet. This apartment's carpet is pretty old so it just needs something with more power haha Your review really made me glad I got it and Bissell's also a great brand. Thank you! :)
Thanks for sharing . I bought this exact vaccum earlier this year and I just decided to put together today. The only thing I did not like was the hole at the top of the handle. It's pretty strange Make you think your supposed to expect something to be in that place. Anyone else notice that ?
I thought that too, until I saw a video, and the hole, is to attach the hose to after separating it from the base, which creates a movable wand. Just put an attachment like the crevice tool on the other end, and you can do window sills, vehicle seats & floors, and other non floor places. It's really ingenious.
Hi, thanks for the review. I have a suggestion for your cats. Put them in the bathroom and shut the door. That way the noise won't traumatize them. That's what I did with my cat. It made is easier and the cats are less afraid.
I had bought this vacuum for my apartment bc my dirt devil powerexpress had suction issues and the filter kept failing, I cleaned it once and it worked for 5 minutes, but then it stopped releasing suction, so I had to throw it away and get this handy Bissell Powerforce Compact from Walmart, TBH it Does work In my apartment very well, Thanks for the review Edit: The motor on my dirt Devil also kept failing while I tried to use it
after watching this i thought it would be of good use for me, but when i went to the store they had one on display and it was just to small for me, for a few dollars more i got the full sized version and i really like it
I have a Dirt Devil and that piece of junk won’t pick up hardly anything. My husband has blown out the hose many times to make sure there is nothing stuck which would affect the suction. From day one I have dispised it. It was a birthday gift from my son and daughter in law so I couldn’t return it. After watching several reviews on this Bissell I think I’m going to give it a try. My local Walmart has it for only $59.00. If I’m not loving it I can always take it back. I enjoyed your video and option on this vacuum.
I’m sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience with your Dirt Devil. Hopefully the Bissell works well for you! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Let me know what you think of the Bissell. 🙂
Hi, Alyson!! I haven’t used a vacuum in years (except for the shop vac I use for my car) since we don’t have any carpet. I have been frustrated in the past with vacuum cleaners that are complicated to use. So, if I needed a vacuum then this one seems like a great option!! My cats would probably be afraid of a loud one too!! Lol they watch everything I do with such curiosity 😂
Hello! I agree that some of them are way too complicated! You are lucky that you don’t have carpet. I’m sure your cats would run from this one-my cats are not a fan lol
If you want a vacuum you should buy a Bissell pet hair eraser turbo plus I have it and it is awesome I had it for 3years!!! And you can turn the brush roll off for your hard wood floors!
Very helpful. Thank you.... There were some "limited edition" (ooh!!!) pink ones at the Walmart up here in Vancouver Canada. Pretty noisy though. Poor kitty. Wondering the next step up or two steps up for one a little quieter....
