Thanks for this. Used the same parts you described here and finally have a working brake controller on my 2018 F150. Snaking the wire through the firewall grommet and up to the glovebox area was a PITA.
I just realized I have this problem and I really appreciate your video, it looks pretty straight forward except for where you connect that 12 volt power supply behind the glove box. Any chance you have a better picture of that module and how you connected to it?
It’s the only purple and red wire on that brown connector. Cut it off and connect your 12v wire you just installed from the battery directly to that purple and red wire in the harness and you’ll now have the 12v power you should of had from ford in the beginning
@@justthetipgarage5305 if it helps, on mine, it's a red wire and it's also the largest gauge wire in the connector. You should be able to probe/trace it from the connector to the connector for the TCM in the dash. HTH
@@justthetipgarage5305 I was able to find the wire you used. FWIW, on my 2015 XL, the wire is red. Even after getting power to the TBC, it's still not working so now I wonder if the OEM controller I purchased is defective.
It may be or it may be the wrong wire. Unfortunately without the truck in front of me to work on I’m not much help. Hopefully you can find another video on TH-cam to help you out or like most pioneers figure it out with a multimeter.
@@justthetipgarage5305 Yup, totally understand. FWIW, my 2015 XL definitely is missing the fuse block pin to connect pin 49 to the red wire in the center wire harness connector you reference in your video. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Yea that’s honestly the worst part. But way cheaper than the dealer. Glad it helped. Don’t be afraid to subscribe

Has anyone seen this issue with fuse 49 on a 2015 XL?
Which fuse is fuse 49? Brake controller?
Yes, appears to have same function as your 24. The fuse block is missing the output contact. @@justthetipgarage5305
