As evident from the name, light tanks are typically highly mobile combat vehicles that are fitted with powerful guns and next to no armour. NGL I thought the Begleitpanzer57 would be on the list with speed, versatile gun which even surprises most pilots regardless of jet or helicopter

It should be #1 but they put it #2 because they want people to be quiet about it. Also j really like the Char 25t but I dint think it should be #1. But then again it is one of my only 2 vehicles to yield me a nuke so who knows

now are we gonna talk about the pt-76-57 and how op it is. it needs to be put up in br. i don’t remember who but a content creator brought it up to like 10.0 or 11.0 and still did really well. also could the ELC BIS get scouting the m56 has scouting so i don’t understand why this couldn’t get it the two vehicle are very similar also irl it was able to fully traverse it’s turret but the driver couldn’t see if the turret was rotated more than 15* and i think that since war thunder isn’t the most extreme sim some liberties could be taken to allow it’s turret to fully rotate 360*.
The bis is a TD in game iirc, so gaijin needs to make it a light tank to get scout, it's the same as the r3, it's AA, no scout, but ppl treat it like a light tank
@@DatBoi_TheGudBIAS irl the R3s were recon vehicles not AAs, they were simply not could engage Jets effectively since the lacking in radar, so having scouting with it would do make sense.
The reason why the PT-76-57 does so well at top tier is the absolute lack of side armor in tanks that high in BR
In fact, you could do something similar back when the M1 was the top dog by taking the ASU-57 or ZiS-30 for a walk at 10.3
Now if you pit the PT-76-57 against a Maus or something similarly protected, it will just be a nuisance for the entirety of its 26 shells on the rack
it struggles to pen things with its round at the br where it is now… i think it should be left there but get the stab. or the rangefinder removed…

The r3 t106 completely changed my playstyle. Its so fast that every mach feels like a rally race. Its super fun and has a lot of firepower as well. My favourite vehicle for sure!

You forgot that one of the reasons that the SK105 is a really good long range sniper, is that at 8.3, it gets a 4 second reload APFSDS and GEN 3 THERMALS! as well as a LASER RANGEFINDER, makes it one, if not the most potent sniper at its BR

I'd say the Begleitpanzer is the best. Rockets, Anti-Air Rounds, good mobility and a rather low profile.

The Begleit is not a light tank, its an IFV, IFV and light tanks are differ big time, IFVs such as the Begleit meant to be infantry support vehicle, providing fire support and mobile cover for infantry, and getting them from A to B, IFV and by extension APCs are whole different category, light tanks are dedicated fire support units for MBTs and recon units. I hope i cleared that up.

Just imagine if it had its historical 4s reload, which I reported, but it was denied because they like the br it’s at now, so they don’t want to make it any better, as that would likely raise its br… 🤦♂️
foch after danger zone is great. can shoot on the move and has 2 gears now in reverse. goes 20 backwards. packed with the 14 second reload and armour and a 15mm to take out lights its great. i have batchat in the same line

They just don't wanna accept any of the reload reports though for Foch, ARL-44 (4-5s), AMX M4 (4s), Char 25t (4s), etc., because "they don't need it" lol

You lost me when you gave the Char 25t the gold medal spot. Not only is is not the best among the tanks on this list, it's not even the best on the list when thrown into its own BR range. There are several others on the list, as well as some not included in this video at all that outperform the Char 25t.
Have you ever played the char 25t? I love it one of my favourites and every youtuber you will see also loves it. It's great

But what is your argument? Could you not make the same statement about just about any tank on this list? They're all good.
The point is that the Char 25t is not nearly as good as several other light tanks on (and off) this list. For example, the HSTV is light years ahead of the Char 25t in capability. Obviously it's a higher BR, but even playing against enemies at its own BR it does everything the Char 25t does, but better. The Begleit 57 is another perfect example.
To be honest i thing the bmp 2m is one of if not the best light tanks in the game.
Bmp2m, just like dardo or Bradley, is an ifv, not light tank

@@ScaleMilitaryModels no, because an ifv is a vehicle that is main job is help Infatery and can be use, if it has missile, also against tanks, while the main job of a light tank is destroying tanks, just like the hstvl
@@emaacqua2163 You're getting it wrong, IFVs are infantry support vehicles, having ATGMs not make them dedicated anti armor, the IFVs are just more glorified APCs, meant to get infantry squads to one point to another safely and support them, light tanks are dedicated fire support vehicles for MBTs, they do recon, anti armor duties more effectively. IFVs and APCs are very different from light tanks and having two very different roles, they are two different doctrines all-together
@@k_balu-8104 yes I know, this is what i said, but you can bear with me that an ifv with anti tank missiles could be use also for destroying tanks or other armored vehicles. Obviously it's not their first job, but they can also still be use for that purpose

Fr, it has great speed ,its so small people cant hit it,a good gun for its size with a great quick reload and a huge ammo pool. gaijin really needs to raise the br on the beast

The E100 is my most valueable light tank.
But the TAM 2IP stands well on second place, that thing crushes.

@@darkshadow2957 I don't have Russia beyond 6.0 but Russia seems pretty good at higher tiers. Otherwise Germany, they got seriously good tanks at all tiers, just their armor is not very good most of the time, especially at high BR.
And America is an Allrounder, not bad, not OP but good and decent.

Day 1: when we will be able to lock our turrets in a certain position. For example i rather my turret stay and point backwards on my p61 instead of auto rotating back to the front.

I cant belive how the PUMA or Begleitpanzer 57 didnt make it on the list both are far better then the DF 105 and the Begleitpanzer 57 is far superior then the PT-76-57 it has a better firing rate it has 48 shells instead of the 20 the PT-76-57 has it has a Tow launcher and thermals and it has Proximity HE shells wich are amazing its not as survivable as the PUMA tho its so survivable most rockets cant hurt it and its immune against heat and the gun is good enough to kill MBT from the side and it can shred any other IFVs both are great tanks.
The Puma and Begleitpanzer 57 are not light tanks, that's why they are not on this list.
If I had to pick my favorite lt I'd say it's between the RadKampfWagon90 and Type 16

M22 should be the #1 tank because of its superior firepower and its low profile to help it get the edge on unexpected enemy tanks

My favourite is the ikv91, because of it's laser rangefinder, and it gets heatfs stock
Shell velocity is too low and bad post pen damage. Strv 74 is much better at its br with APDS

The repair costs are very annoying. I don't have a better idea but I keep noticing how the repair costs prevent me from playing the game or playing certain tanks or planes

Why is the AGS number 4 and the HSTVL number 5? The gun is better but a 1.2 second 75mm auto cannon and that much speed additionally with trolly armor is a recipe for success but you do you Gaijin, you put the PT-76 in 7.7 anyways lmao
BT5 and M22 where???? And speaking of which, why does rank I and II vehicles STILL not count towards task and event accruals when those tiers are so much fun to play and have such iconic vehicles in them? Maybe I don't WANT to play cold war or modern era vehicles?
Because if Rank I and II were count, seal-clubber would make hellish experience to newer players, this is even self explanatory, and by having to even tell someone to understand....

Where is WMA301 on this list? It has apfsds that some medium tanks have at its br and if you need more pen you have 750mm tandem atgm. At 8.3 you have 2nd gen thermals with LRF. The only con is survivability but in light tank you dont need it

As a German enjoyer (main) I very well know how to use my vehicles and stay alert while aiding in support and firepower, eg. Puma, tho I excel in fast lightly armored tanks like the pz38t... usually racking up several kills while remaining in touchable (speed, and shoot n shoot maneuver)
Y’all on something if you think the 25t is anywhere near the performance of the PT-57 in game.
CV90 Bill. The top attack missile is extremely good for hidden hull attacks as well as the fact its top attack so you will make sure the enemy you encounter get their gunner taken out so you can focus on another tank, perhaps, a light tank with your autocannon, take the light tank out then send the MBT to the hangar, it works best countering soviet vehicles because that's what it's developed for after all.
But it has sherman's gun stabiliser, if your commander gets taken out top attacks are not as useful and the thing about "taking out the gunner of enemy tank" is most (if not all) of tanks at 10.0 has commander controled fireing systems so in order to take out tank without killing it you would need to kill gunner and commander which is hard because in russian tanks it would leave only driver so by the game rules the tank would be dead and also you need to wait a lot of time to set up your launcher like bradley which is at 8.0 and 9.3

I saw some people give some hate to the DF-105 at some point, man when I picked it up for the first time it was probably the most fun tank I actually enjoyed playing
it's playstyle is pretty fun, and you don't need to grind for a better shell, the stock shell is enough to destroy IS-6 tanks head on
Special Mention to the Bt-5, the best Light reserve in the Game feature the most use rate in High Br and the free cost.
I have the ultimate bomb kick, but since you guys swich back to whole replays from warthunder instead of youtube, I don't have the require replay from warthunder for the Thunder show since it was switched out.... I feel scewed out of something greater

In WT these light tanks can take out heavy tanks from the front with HEAT... And why is char25 in the first place? As far as I know, it's the only one on the list that can only be fired from the side in many cases. But honestly guys.. do you play the game or do you just do it based on win rate? Just because char25 should be last on the list.

also, the french tree lacks AMX-10 variants, the RC is fine, but how about the P? and also, maybe can we get the export versions of the AMX-13 with the 105mm?
Not quite. Char 25t is the correct name, BatChat being just the manufacturer. In fact all non-‘Char’ designations are just unofficial nicknames. AMX-50 was actually Char Moyen de 50t, Surblindé was Char Lourd de 70t, Foch was Auto-Canon de 120, AMX-30 was Char de Bataille de 30t, AMX-13 was Char de 13t, and so on. These are all based on their respective manuals and accompanying documentation. In fact, Lorraine 40t is supposed to be called Char de 40t as well. They just call it Lorraine 40t ingame because that’s how it’s known popularly. So, if any, the Lorraine should be the one getting a name change. 😉

What? The T92 an honourable mention? The T92 is totally useless at 6.7... I mean you can make plays with it, but it´s not very fast and its cannon is almost useless if not used in flanked attacks against most of the tanks it has to face.
Still im happy to be proven wrong, so if anyone knows how to effectivly use the t92 at 6.7, tell me how and I will try to improve.
