This really reminds me of the mechs from the LN/anime Knights and Magic

The color separation on the parts is amazing

the design reminds me of those old Japanese "bancho" biker gangs with their flowing long coats and the spike on the head unit looks like a pompadour hair style.

The ball-jointed soles are a real nifty idea! It would help a lot of kits keep a proper sword stance.

With the promotional video for tastier, it leads me to believe that these figures are meant to be human sized, rather than giant mecha sized.

I've noticed a distinct lack of moving parts in recent gundam,most MG thighs don't even slide anymore.Bandai could learn a lot from this kit about the articulation .

On the action base adapter. Find a piece of solid pla tube that will fit in there and glue it then drill a new 3mm hole for the standard action base?
Kit looks really good. Maybe you could paint the polycaps to make the fit better
This is kool. Although not a fan of the head crest, it has nice details and articulation. It even comes with water decals!

SO excited for this. I've been looking for kits with a more unique look and this checks all the boxes for me.
I’m on the fence about this one. It’s very clunky looking, but maybe the water slides would help ? The swords look awesome with the trans orange pieces. Too bad about the l.e.d. though, however not sure how much light would shine through anyway. Almost reminds me of the leds with the iron man suit not being able to see them in the hands
This kit looks like an anti-katoki with the long torso and kinda stubby looking legs but that color separation and the face looks sooo goood. That Leg extender is anamazing option. And leg articulation is quite lacking but man all those moving parts look delicious LoL.
Now this one keep appearing on my social media timeline.. 😂

There's no magnet in this kit.
Mine didn’t come with a battery or magnets. That kinda sucks but honestly it’s no major loss for me so I’m still happy with it.
I'm wondering if they have other kits as well. So far I've only seen one.

Mine didn’t have batteries when I got it from my local shop.
Hm, i bought this one from AmiAmi and i didn't get the magnets and battery, also the bags are different, more like Bandai ones. I wonder if they made a batch specifically for the Japanese market.
Go to the dollar store and get one of the red lazer flashlight combo's they have 3 of those batteries inside.

sorry I'm late, but you can actually take the head off, tap the little chip that you put in the chest, and it'll activate the LED. You don't need the magnet
I tried that too and it didn’t work

What exactly is the battery
With some modification, someone can make this a passable Arthur from Super Mecha Champions.
That game has a lot of really nice mechs design. Bummer the gameplay doesnt have a lot of improvement over the years.
He could use a big shield to match, i wonder which kit i could get to bash him with

Did you order yours from Japan? You have the markings on the battery, it's nicely visible when Zaku is unboxing it, CR927 3V .

Hello, I can't get the eyes to light up. I have the right battery, put it in the right direction, I have put a magnet or a piece of metal near it but nothing works. Please help me
Seems to be inspired by a monkey - more specifically Sun Wukong, the monkey king/demi-god in Chinese mythology (more specifically mythology that was inspired by "Journey to the West" which can be considered to be a proto-fantasy novel written back in the 16th century). Explains the short legs and the face. I like the overall design of the kit. Thanks for reviewing it!
It doesn't even have a staff as a weapon so probably not inspired by wukong
@@bossku5657 Well, Sun Wukong's staff (Jingu Bang) is typically shrunken down to the size of a needle and hidden behind his ear when not in use. That's the ultimate weapon storage solution... :)
The design is cool, but kind of half baked. The face looks kind of bland, lacking personality and detail. The crest design is really cool though. The body proportions are a bit off too, head is too big and legs too short for heroic proportions, it makes the scale look smaller as is. I have to admit I really like a lot of the gimmicks like the moving armor pieces and the soles. Looks like it needs some customizing work to make it really pop. Curious about the cost now...
I trust no out of the box inner frame. First build will always be good. Play with that for 3 or so weeks straight. Then tell me how it is holding up.

1/ there's no magnet in the kit.
2/ it's a contact problem, once assembled the two pieces that are supposed to touch each other and conduct elecrity never do because the design is wonky as hell.

I wouldn't recommend this kit to anyone, nothing but trouble. First off the quality of the plastic is terrible, it isn't the hard, crispy plastic you get on japanese kits, it's a half rubbery, unprecise, badly molded cheap plastic that'll drive you insane before you finish snapping the kit together. The pieces just don't fit with one another, you have to force/file down everything into place until the end, and you fingers WILL hurt a lot (DEFINITIVELY not a begginer friendly kit). The LED gimmick never worked (it did before assembly, but as soon as it is installed in the head it stops working). In fact it's so bad they don't even show the LED gimmick on the box art (just in case they got sued for false advertising I guess). The manual is loaded with mistakes. The scale is weird, the proportions are weird, the design is a weird/campy mix of a medieval armour and a mech and clearly can't decide between both (the legs are ridiculously clunky)...cherry on top it is REALLY expensive for what you get. Seriously think before buying this one, or better yet : skip it ! I disassembled mine for scraps and greebles.
Agree, absolute pain to build, I’m scared to play with it cuz the weapons handle is so weak
