Thank you for interviewing your dad, Chris! This is probably the most intimate and relaxed interview I have ever seen him do I've been an Osmond fan since 1975 and your family has meant so much to me over the years. I just recently saw your dad in Chicago in June. He still has it! Wishing you and your wife the best on your podcast. I'm sure it will be a big hit.
Donny Osmond and Family are a National treasure! Remember getting the album that featured "Go away little Girl" for Christmas. Remember the Donny and Marie were Big Time and Prime Time! Nice family entertainment....
When I met Donny in person, he was absolutely kind, gracious, warm and humble……I’ve had several people describe him the same way when they have had the privilege of meeting Donny Osmond. One in a million and so happy for Chris and his lovely wife. This podcast is fantastic !!!!
60 years old here and Donny will always be my celebrity crush. Still waiting to see him perform in person. I love the Osmond family they are part of my childhood and teenage years. Glad to see new Osmond generations.
I am from England and I have met Donny twice with my 2 eldest children. Emma shared her sweeties with him in Birmingham by the canal and he was so kind to her. Tom met him at a book signing at the bullring in Birmingham. Tom has autism he was about 12years old he stood in the queue all day to meet his hero it was an achievement as he to this day struggles in crowds. We finally got to Donny and he signed his book and then he stopped to chat with Tom. He will never know the impact of that day to my son his kindness to him he could have just signed the book. Tom was changed he walked out 10 foot tall because Donny called him buddy. We were then members of church and Tom hadn't been baptised because of his phobia of going underwater. But on the way home he asked to be baptised. Tom is now 30yrs he is a beaver scout leader and has a little job as a lunchtime supervisor in a primary school and he lives independently. But I had loved Donny Osmond from a child the nice guy but had wondered as an adult if it was all an act but it isn't he is a nice guy and he was kind to my kid when he didn't need to be and that means the world to me. That is what a true star is! Maybe one day he will meet Tom again who still loves soldier of love thank you xx
@@paulinedelaney1735 ; Your story is the most heart ❤️ felt true story I have ever read with tears in my eyes that I have ever read on TH-cam! AND ... I am going to Pray 🙏 for your Son that Jesus brings more meetings to him with Donny.
I have been a fan for sixty years and even remember seeing the Osmonds on the Andy Williams show. It is an honor to have had a crush on someone that has become such an honorable man who has integrity, humility, hummanity and exceptional talent. Donny, you are an amazing example and role model for who a husband, Father, performer and human can be. I'm thrilled to know that the Osmond talents are flowing into the next generations. Much love and best wishes to your family for bringing so much joy to many lives❤
No it DOES NOT! We lived in Denver when the D&M show was on. My friends and I wood get together to watch every Friday night! I even had the D&M Dolls!! 🤣❤❤
I don’t know if you’ll see this, but thank your dad for me. Going through an existentially tough time, sister died this month, and internally have been to the depths, questioning everything from who I am, my identity, everything. Although not Mormon, I have returned to my catholic faith, and find comfort in the Lord. But watching this reminded me of Donny Osmond, and then immersed in Piers Morgan interviews, etc., but ended up on Donny’s “Close Every Door To Me” from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. It have me the message I needed, color through the endless gray. We can only hope to be half as good looking, only hope to face a quarter of that voice, and an eighth of that talent. But; thank you. Quiet desperation in search of something healing, and that was it for me. Lot of tears. We are waking amongst a national treasure, and someone so beloved, but sometimes we need to be reminded of it. Like your father said, you get that burst, and then it’s disappeared onto the ether, until that always elusive next thing, when chasing a hit. But upon thinking of your dad tonight, this love and excitement suggests he’s already deeply woven into people’s souls. The world is better for him being in it, and your beautiful family, too. Thanks :)
The Donny and Marie show actually debuted at the MGM Grand before it went to the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas. I was a lighting tech there at the time. They had never performed the show and were still putting it together. We worked very long hours everyday, with Donny right along side us. He was very down to earth, just one of the crew when we were setting up and doing rehearsals. The show was a blast to run and it was a great week. We were so disappointed they weren't going to be staying at the MGM. The hotel wanted them to work more shows than they were willing to do. Very sad for us, but fortunate for the Flamingo.
I remember bringing a Donny Osmond record to show and tell in the first grade. The teacher let me play serial songs off the record. Puppy Love, Go Away Little Girl, Sweet and Innocent…
I just saw your dad in concert in Colorado Springs Tuesday night and he was so gracious to come out the back of the auditorium to get pictures and say hi to all of us "old women"! It was a moment that my 12 year old self could only dream of!!! I had waited 54 years to see him in concert and getting to meet him was just a dream come true for me!! Your dad was so special to so many of us! Thank you for sharing him with us!
Wow! I’m from England and haven’t seen Donny live since the late 70s or early 80s when he was at the height of his ‘first career’. I love that all these years later he is still as passionate about his professional life - but I especially love how grounded he has remained and how wise he has been as a husband and father. Good job Donny!
Donny’s ability to compartmentalize his life is a true skill. I believe it stems from his Mother who would make sure there was a time to be a professional and time to be a regular person. It has served him well. This is why he can be both a great Father and entertainer.
This was so good! You are correct, your Dad cares about his fans. I grew up loving "Donny Osmond", but I never got to see him in concert. Last November, for my 65th birthday, I went to Vegas just to see your Dad, a dream come true. He sang Happy Birthday to me during the show, but at the end, he grabbed my hand and sincerely wished me a Happy Birthday and thanked me for coming. That meant so much to me. Your family is inspiring, your Mom is beautiful, and of course your Dad is wonderful!
I believe your father is an Angel on this earth, you look so much like him! About stardom, as a little child I dreamed of meeting Donny, I owned every album went to concerts…fast forward from 1975 to late 90’s when I was at my lowest point ever, I was sitting alone outside a temp job at the Lowes Vanderbilt Plaza in Nashville and your your Dad walked off the elevator looked my way, smiled, then turned to walk away and I was like, WAIT Donny? He turned around and said yes, lol….to this day I feel so blessed. He was the sweetest and even spoke to my best friend in Florida on the phone about her 4 daughters who were all young at the time. My husband died in 2005 after a liver transplant (Hep C) shortly after I met Donny. I wanted to give up numerous times but know I can’t because if you give up, you’ll miss the blessings, like meeting your childhood idol. 💜
Yes...would love to hear from Debbie Osmond and her perspective as wife , mother of boys. grandmother and her own individuality. I personally would like to know her disciplinarian techniques with boys especially since they have grown up so well. Ps. IDEA; Would love for Donny to do a 70s revival of his personal favorite songs of popular artists of that time period. With him performing each one and maybe a story behind each song.
One of the best interviews I've ever seen with Donny. So great to see and hear the "real" man and dad vs. the entertainer speaking with TV hosts. Enjoyed Alta's perspective on her famous FIL also. Please post continue other episodes with him to hear his perspective on his life and interactions with other performers. I would absolutely love you to feature your mom and your dad, to hear her experiences being married to a famous entertainer and keeping your family times separate from the business Donny. Look forward to more episodes!
This was amazing to watch! I loved this up close and personal interview with your dad! I've been a fan of the Osmonds since the Andy Williams days and I learned a lot from this interview! Wishing you and Alta the best on your Pod Cast! I'll look forward to seeing more!! Thank you for doing this!
I grew up watching your family on the Andy Williams show as a young child. I have followed your family throughout most of my life, and felt like the Osmonds were everyone’s family. This was so refreshing to see. I Love how normal your family is, and your Father has always had so much class. God Bless🙏🏼❤️🕊️
You hit it on the nail head...Donny's fans do want to see the Human behind the celebrity! I love to watch my friends perform... and would love to feel a friend connection with him! Watching interviews like this and going to VIP experiences to get to know him as a human is so endearing!
I met Donny at the Mall of America when he was here doing Joseph. I was So Star Stuck! I was shaking, I asked for and received an autograph. I mumbled some forgettable words and probably blacked out. I cherished that Autograph and hid it in a safe place! A Really, Responsible safe place. I haven’t been able to find it since. 🤷🏼♀️ Our family joke is: whenever we can’t find anything, we say, “Maybe it’s with Donny Osmond’s Autograph!” 😂
Thank you, Chris & Alta. I am just one of millions who have loved Donny & the Osmonds for 50 plus years. What I really appreciate is being able to see the other side of Donny. Very few stars show their private side to the world. I love how down to earth all the Osmonds are. ❤❤❤ I have never had the privilege of attending a concert, but this will live with me forever. 😍 Donny please come back to Australia. 🇦🇺🦘🐨 Good on you Donny, stick with your android phone. 😉😁
I was one of those little girls who bought Tiger Beat and had Donny Osmond and Osmond Brothers posters on my wall back in the 70s. I now live in Ogden, UT where the Olive and George met. Love this interview! So many insights on how this family managed to live a relatively normal live despite Donny's work obligations.
This was so fun to watch…I’ve been a Donny Osmond fan since I was 9 years old…yes I’m old😂 Chris was the only reason I watched Claim to Fame and I was so shocked that no one could recognize him because you are literally your dad’s twin😄 you played with such class and integrity, it just goes to show that you can go on a reality show and you don’t need to be mean or change who you are! Great job Chris!🙏🏻❤️
Chris ... I am 'here' because of your stint on Claim to Fame. Because I grew up with your Dad (born 1957), from the beginning of that show, I knew he was your Dad, because of my memories of your Dad at your age, I could see the resemblance. I'm so glad you've decided to stay in the 'business' because you do bring a calmness and wit to celebrity that's missing these days, when so many people want to be famous for fame sake. But to have a voice, and really be talented on top of that, outside of your famous relatives shadows ... you're handling your moment with grace. Congrats on the podcast and added another layer to the Osmond legacy.
Good luck with your podcast! Thanks so much for having your Dad on! I have always wanted to know the person behind the star, to have "a moment" with them instead of just the autograph. (I haven't yet had either with your Dad. But i can hope!) I hope you can get your Mom on sometime! I admire her big time! Thanks again!
I ❤️ Claim to Fame now, because of YOU! So far THIS SEASON IVE GUESSED EVERYONE RIGHT, except for one! One of the final 4, I STILL AM NOT SURE?!! 😂🤦🏼♀️
I love this interview with such a relaxed atmosphere and personal insights. I've been a huge fan of your Dad for over 55 years now and one of the main reasons for that aside from his unparalleled talent and showmanship, is the man that he is behind the scenes. He's a wonderful family man with high standards and values and treats everyone with such kindness and respect. Great podcast Chris and continued success in this and your music career
Love the podcast. I am 62 and grew up listening to the Osmond’s. I still have all their records, cassettes from back in the day. Donny posters covered my bedroom walls and my mom made me a purple bedspread. Kudos on the podcast.
I just saw Donny a few weeks ago in Cincinnati and then a year before in Dayton, both shows where amazing, I will keep going to see him when he comes back to town, have been a fan since I was a young girl. He is class act
Loved Donnie and Marie all my life and I finally got too see them live in Vegas in 2017... I am now 73 yrs old and still can't believe that I actually got to seem them live... this video is more wonderful that you can imagine.. thank you so much!
A big fan and gracious that I have been able meet your dad Donny in Naperville, IL at an opening of a giant box store! Got to see Marie and Donny at the Paramount theater in Aurora IL!the sweetest people. I'm 70 and have been a fan for years!
Denise from Liverpool England here. Loving your podcast Chris. Your dad has been a very big part of my life since i was 10. ( I'm now 65). I feel like I'm watching family. Love you all. ❤
What a fantastic podcast! Absolutely loved this interview and all the wonderful insights you all shared into your lives. Your Dad has been a part of my life for 55 years and continues to be such a significant part. Not only is he probably the hardest working, most talented entertainer around but his heart is very evident in everything he does. His love for his family is always number one as it should be and the time and kindness he gives to his fans is so incredible and shows the wonderful man that Donny is. He's the best! Wishing you every success with the podcast and your music career Chris...and of course continued happiness for you and your beautiful family.
I love this - I hear that Donny is an amazing neighbor and friend also. There are certain celebrities that never forget where they came from and the struggles they had. They get it and relate to people at a higher frequency. This is why Donny is one of my favorites. Fans need to remember though - he is human and has bad days and it is very hard to always be happy. I have met Donny many times and he always knows how to handle the crowds and how to calm people down who are a little over excited. He makes the experience as special as he can for each person but will not tolerate rudeness or inappropriate behavior. Love him.
Well done Chris! When I hear Donny talk or sing, it's like listening to an old friend. He has been a part of my life through the songs and shows and I am so thankful and grateful that God gave him this outstanding talent
My memory of my first day of kindergarten was being so scared but excited about my purple Donny and Marie lunchbox, and when I got home, I received a "You did it" prize, Donny and Marie Barbie dolls.
I enjoyed this interview. I recently had a birthday. My gift to me was I saw Donny in concert in Colorado Springs with my two sisters and then a few days later I saw Donny in concert at the Paramount Theater in Seattle with my husband. I live in Juneau Alaska. August has been a good month. 🎉. In the dictionary next to the word “entertainer”, it says Donny Osmond. I mean it.
A couple of Sundays ago while conducting music in Church, an unfamiliar face was sitting in the overflow. One member went to give them a hug. She's a notorious hugger, but it still struck me strange. That evening at a fireside I questioned who the visitor was. I found the answer incredulous. How did I not recognize Donny Osmond?!? He must have never once flashed that winning smile that might have given him away. While it was no bother to me at the time I thought in horror realizing he'd witnessed one one my gaffs. I'd opened the music to the closing hymn for the intermediate hymn with a different time signature and clearly different words. I've developed a talent for seamless recoveries.
Hello I saw your father and his family in Toronto, Ontario at the Great National Exhibition 1970s with his brothers and we screamed so loud we lost our voices. It was when Puppy Love was so popular. My cousin is actually Camilla Scott she was with me..She had a talk show in Toronto and was on many shows. So I truly understand the strange feelings of having a famous family member. We love the true kindness of your father. He is a wonderful person. So thank you for sharing your amazing stories with us. From Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 🎼🎵🎶💗
I have to add a comment regarding the technology of the smart phone. I too am an Android user and I recently just upgraded my Android to an S24 and I love it!! The gentleman who waited on me at the phone store, said Android users are so smart!! Haha!! I loved that comment! Your dad is truly a great guy! He is a smart, smart man! Love him!!🥰
Chris your father is brilliant and your mum Debbie and all the Osmond are wonderful people on our planet, your father has a lovely voice and he a great singer, I love you all , thank you for sharing this video with us all Chris ❤❤❤❤❤
Same on claim to fame, Chris you made the show! I gotta say. I'm a few years younger than you're dad. When my mom died and I was thrust into foster care, the osmonds gave me a model of what life could be like. Obviously I was a fan of you're dad lol but I watched you're grandparents be an amazing God first role model. Then I watched you're dad be a dad and you're Mom be mom. It made a difference in my life :) you are blessed❤
Thank so much for interviewing your Dad. Been going down memory lane I caught this Donny interview . I was one of those Young girls in the 70's with A Donny Crush . I was around 12 years old in 1972 . Puppy love my Favorite . Also liked the Osmond's and The Donny and Marie show grew up lost track till Joseph. Which he did great by the way . Then now with the internet seen some pieces of his Vegas concerts and whom can forget The Masked singer which was awesome by the way .Chris I watched him talk about you being on that game show claim to fame then I had to watch it . I seen it first so I already knew who you were so it me a advantage but who could missed you look so much like your Dad. Then I laughed at all their wrong guesses but you did a great Job .
Chris thank you for interviewing your dad. He was my celebrity crush when I was a little girl. I had all his pictures from Tiger Beat. My mother took me to my first concert to see the Osmonds in Baltimore at the Civic Center in the early 70's. Chris I watched the Claim to Fame last year and figured out who you were like immediately. Just like when your dad was on the Masked Singer I knew immediately it was Donny. Thank You for the interview.
Donny&Marie and the Osmond family are a beautiful Part of my Memories I grew up watching and Listening to There Songs and I love to hear good News about them because they are the Most respectable Family
I grew up loving the Osmonds, and your Dad was my heartthrob as he was for many young girls. It's nice to see this facet of him, a family man. Thank you for this. Btw: you are his spitting image❤
Donny has so much common sense and really pays attention to details to become better and better. His strong belief and faith in God is his guiding light. God bless you Donny for being a successful and quality man.
I'm 65 years old and I still remember seeing The Osmonds on stage at the Syracuse War Memorial when I was 12 years old! My room was plastered with Donny Osmond posters! So glad he's still rockin' it! Gosh Chris, you look just like your handsome dad!
I grew up watching your aunt and father. My sister and I used to sing all of their songs together. They are both amazing people. I am so happy to see you following in his musical footsteps, but carving out your own career. My best to you and your beautiful wife and your family. Stay Inspired and grounded in the Lord-Dewey Paul, Jr.
Never get sick of Donny Osmond, and it's really sweet to see his son interview him. My husband had a similar experience with travel from Chicago to Seattle every weekend because of a job there, and it was HARD. So I sympathize. I feel for Debbie, definitely.
What a great podcast!! Thank you for doing it! As I'm sure you have heard a million times now, the minute your face showed up on the TV commercial for Claim To Fame, I actually yelled out "OMG, he is an Osmond!!" I didn't know who you actually belonged to, but it was so obvious to any 66 year old what family you belonged to!! I enjoyed watching that show with you on it so much, that now I wish you were on it again - LOL! Thanks again for this podcast!!
This podcast is great! You guys got right into the meat of what makes your dad such a special human. I have been a fan for over fifty years...and I have to say your dad's current show in Vegas, and his last album, are the best of his career!!! Listen very careful to his advice and emulate him as much as you possibly can Chris. It's cute because I've always thought that Debbie has the sweetest, kindest voice... and that you can just tell that she's such an amazing person. And I must say that Alta has a similar kindness in her voice. She also seems to have a sweet spirit and it was fun to hear her and get to know her as well! You boys chose really well, because the right partner can make life THE BEST ADVENTURE! LOVED this podcast... LOVE you guys...LOVE your dad... I wish you tons of success on this journey! I subscribed and will be watching them all! 🥰
I watch alot of podcast on youtube while recovering from fracturing my back, an breaking my ankle needing steel rods an screws. I am throughly enjoying this podcast so much. I'm praying for your continued success. Keep up the good work.,😅
I am nearly 61 from UK grew up with Donny and Osmonds happy memories ❤i have never had the privilege to see Donny in person sadly but have played his music all my life i did take one of my daughters to osmonds musical in Uk wolverhampton theatre she loved it ❤
What a great idea for a podcast. I will be watching. I'm an oldie from the very beginning of the Osmonds and to now see the Osmond kids as adults is such fun. Thank You.
I have always wanted to hear Donny sing Nothing Else Matters by Metallica. He would do an awesome job!!!! Loved him since I was 8 years old, I am 61. Got to get Donny's autograph in Chicago when Joseph was playing.
Fantastic interview with your dad. Grew up watching Donny and it is so nice to see a celebrity that stayed grounded and didn't get swept up in the darker side of celebrity life. He is a true gentleman.
I am thoroughly enjoying this interview. I've been a "girl fan" of Donny for 50 years . He is such a down to earth decent guy. I was very lucky to finally get to see him perform in Nottingham England last Dec . He may be a performer on stage, but he was very normal and human, too. I have followed his and the "brothers" journey from childhood . Watched Jay's musical , my daughter is now a big fan of the family too. A brilliant interview Chris and Alta, (I have to say I upgraded to an android too 😂). Best wishes to all the family .❤
I agree about Chris and “Claim to Fame”. I wouldn’t have watched the show without becoming interested in Chris and wanting to see him play the game. He was everything in that season!
Claim to fame was great with Chris. I knew exactly who he was because he looks so much like Donny, but I already knew who he was but I’m so glad he made it as far as he did. This is a great podcast. I love them all so much.
We saw Donny’s show last fall in Las Vegas and absolutely loved it. Childhood heartthrob from Wisconsin born in 1960🥰. You are a genuine loving person❣️
Im a huge fan of Donny, love his welcoming personality, I hav no doubt his faith has helped shape him into the warm, fan-loving celebrity he is. Out of the blue, I was meeting a visiting cousin in KC for dinner at my fav bbq place, lo and behold up drives Donny and Debbie - I recognized him right away and yelled out - he cant go anywhere! Lol the price of fame!
Chris So glad your doing this. I have been a fan since I was 11 back in 1971 Donny is an amazing entertainer. I got to see him Last year on Tour. It was so great that 90 minute show went so fast.
I am in my 60's so I grew up seeing the Osmonds Christmas specials, TV shows etc. Funny thing is I never really followed their music, but I adored them because of the family dynamic. I loved seeing their Mom and Dad in the specials and I so wanted parents like them and I wanted brothers and a sister. I adored Donny and Marie together and their teasing one another. They just had so much love in the family. OMG I still have a ticket for the expedition concert your Dad talked about at the end! LOL I live just outside of Toronto, in those days it was a 20 minute drive away.
We just saw Donny at a concert in Dallas Texas. His voice is still just amazing. I always appreciate the way he keeps classy in his shows. Thank you for being a positive example.
Omg I loved this, I’m also from England I’ve met Donny twice, he’s an absolute treasure, in the 70s I came to America with the fan club, I met all the family , your dad is so wise your whole family is so lucky to have each other I wish you lots of luck with what ever you do in your life, and if you ever need guidance you have the best guide right there your Dad. X
This is my first time seeing Chris and I'm shocked his father actually cloned himself. The power of genes. God bless the Osmond family I have been a fan as a child and now looking at Donny's son Chris it just puts a smile on my face because genes lives on.
Love your dad. My brother and I used to pretend we were Donny and Marie back in the 70's when they were doing their show. Of course, my brother was Donny and I was Marie. We would get hair brushes, put their tape on and start singing. It was loads of fun. We both grew up being musical. Would love to meet your dad one day.
Loving this. Born in 1964, I grew up during the Osmond craze as the youngest of three siblings two of which are sisters. My perspective is that of the star. He was young and therefore emotionally-relatable to his fans of like-age which was my eldest sister, Debbee. “DJ + DO,” “I ❤Donny” was written in pencil all over our shared bedroom door. Tiger Beat posters. Albums. For me, you might say that your dad for better or worse shaped a part of my formative-year’s worldview. When he sang, we all knew he was singing to us. When you watch those younger years, the energy from the Osmond’s was powerful. When Donny sang, he left it all on the field. It created a tangible moment - literal feelings that lasted a lifetime. It’s this that kept us coming back for me. He talks of spending ten years trying to reinvent himself after D&M Show. However, all may rest assured that this was only because of decisions by industry exec’s. The Osmond’s continued to be coveted by America. The industry may have forgotten your dad, but we never did. Ever. They missed a huge opportunity during those years. Having followed your dad’s career and clinging to every show and interview, you are a blessed young man to have grown up with this wisdom. Someone recently said, “Flattery is like perfume. It’s made to sniff, but don’t swallow.” Your grandparents appear to have instilled this well into their children. Your family is a unique and breath of fresh air in this world of insanity. You and your brothers now get to carry the mantle of all that’s good of Creation. I’d like to close with this personal story. Earlier I told of my sister Debbee. Deb was diagnosed with cancer in her early 30’s. The next 15 years were spent in and out of remission, chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant, NIH, Emory, radiation, and all that comes with a compromised immunity. Deb passed in 2006 at 48. Way, way too young. Years later I had the occasion to visit my hometown and was given the opportunity to visit the small home we grew up in. The newest owner and her husband were in the process of remodeling and updating when he passed and the projects came to a halt. As the widow was taking us through the home, we came to our little bedroom shared by we three girls. As I began telling of our childhood in that room, your dad was made part of the memories when she interrupted. She told that she and her husband spent hours trying to sand down the decades of paint coating the bedroom door. They got to the original layer and it wouldn’t sand despite their vigilant efforts. She closed the door to show us the backside and there it was. In pencil. Back to the future. My sister was a young teen again. Vibrant and giddy. Her youthful affinity for your dad written on the back of the door that stood the test of time. And sanding! One of the greatest treasures I’ve ever been afforded in life the result of your dad’s teen influence.
Wonderful interview. I love that your Dad is 2 different ppl one is Dad at home and the other is Dad at work. His marriage has worked and lasted because he kept home life and family in the for front. That's a must! I have been a fan since I was a little girl when I watched The Donny and Marie show ! I love your family and so glad I found your podcast. God Bless you all! ❤
You really should interview your mom- I think many people would love to hear her perspective on how she dealt with having her husband as a star- and what she endured and what she did to keep herself and her family so strong and caring
Prachtig interview. Ik had de gelegenheid om Chris en een groot deel van zijn familie te ontmoeten in Rotterdam. Ik kwam tesamen met andere Vlaamse fans uit verschillende delen van België.
I grew up in UT so I have loved the Osmonds since the early 70’s. The minute I saw Chris on claim to fame I said yep that’s Donny’s son and I enjoyed you Chris and listened to your music since and I really like it. This was a great interview and I wish you well Chris you have the best mentor and I look forward to seeing your career grow 😊
Kudos to you for finding your own way looking and sounding so much like your Dad. It seems that you’ve picked up all of the best of him and your Mom. You’re being very thoughtful about your own career choices and your family.
To us 63 yr olds, Donny Osmond, as well as the Osmond family, is entertainment royalty, hands down!
❤
@@rjnuzzi1648 I agree. I'm turning 60 next month. Those were the days for sure.
I am 63 as well
I’m 63 also, and I remember at around 11or 12 having such a crush on Donny, lol.
So, I am awestruck by the resemblance of father and son! Chris looks just like the Donny we all had a crush on!!
OMG! Chris is a younger version of his Father. He's the image of him. ❤
I'm outside of Chicago and would be afraid to go to that city, there is so much crime.
The Osmonds have been a first class family during my lifetime of 63 years!
OMG!! Thank you for your love ❤, you must be one of my biggest fan, what's your name and where are you from?
60 years old here and Donny will always be my celebrity crush. Still waiting to see him perform in person. I love the Osmond family they are part of my childhood and teenage years. Glad to see new Osmond generations.

This is so precious, heartwarming and empowering.
The most talented man in show business! After listening to Chris sing, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree!
Thanks :)
😢 condolences 🙏 on your loss of sister ❤😢
Awesome show
I remember bringing a Donny Osmond record to show and tell in the first grade.
I definitely appreciate when celebrities show they are also human
Wow! I’m from England and haven’t seen Donny live since the late 70s or early 80s when he was at the height of his ‘first career’. I love that all these years later he is still as passionate about his professional life - but I especially love how grounded he has remained and how wise he has been as a husband and father. Good job Donny!
Thank you for your supporting and loving me.
God bless you😊
It blew me away when no one had a clue who you were on Claim to Fame! You look so much like your dad. Best of luck with this podcast!
I know, right? I was screaming ARE YOU KIDDING? Even my 28yo daughter said Donny Osmonds son, duh.
I remember when Donny was a poster boy. What a dream boat crush he was. Good interview by his son.
Donny’s ability to compartmentalize his life is a true skill. I believe it stems from his Mother who would make sure there was a time to be a professional and time to be a regular person. It has served him well. This is why he can be both a great Father and entertainer.
Compartmentalising is not healthy as we need to be whole.
Love it!! Great pod cast today, please have Debbie on soon.❤
Our family joke is: whenever we can’t find anything, we say, “Maybe it’s with Donny Osmond’s Autograph!” 😂
Thank you, Chris & Alta.
I am just one of millions who have loved Donny & the Osmonds for 50 plus years.
What I really appreciate is being able to see the other side of Donny. Very few stars show their private side to the world. I love how down to earth all the Osmonds are. ❤❤❤
I have never had the privilege of attending a concert, but this will live with me forever. 😍 Donny please come back to Australia. 🇦🇺🦘🐨
Good on you Donny, stick with your android phone.
Yes! We cracked up when NONE OF THE OTHER CONTESTANTS LAST SEASON, Knew, WHO DONNY OSMOND WAS!!!
Yes! We cracked up when NONE OF THE OTHER CONTESTANTS LAST SEASON, Knew, WHO DONNY OSMOND WAS!!!
Thank you Chris love to all OSMOND FAMILY Been a OSMOND FAN for over 50 years DONNY Thank you DONNY AND DEBBIE XXXXXX❤
But i can hope!)
I hope you can get your Mom on sometime! I admire her big time! Thanks again!
I ❤️ Claim to Fame now, because of YOU! So far THIS SEASON IVE GUESSED EVERYONE RIGHT, except for one! One of the final 4, I STILL AM NOT SURE?!! 😂🤦🏼♀️
Me too! I knew immediately!

Thank you for your time, love and support, let's talk over on telegram instead

Thank you for been a very big fan❤ of me, what's your name and where are you from?

Im almost 55 and had the Donnie and Marie lunch box in kindergarten, white vinyl with a purple thermos..never forget it! Love the Osmonds❤❤
I agree about Chris and “Claim to Fame”. I wouldn’t have watched the show without becoming interested in Chris and wanting to see him play the game. He was everything in that season!
I love that show and trying to guess. In my hometown we had a person who eventually was in the soaps.
I was privileged to see Donny and Marie in Vegas. Talented people! Great show!
Chris So glad your doing this. I have been a fan since I was 11 back in 1971 Donny is an amazing entertainer. I got to see him Last year on Tour. It was so great that 90 minute show went so fast.
Great interview with wonderful people
I am in my 60's so I grew up seeing the Osmonds Christmas specials, TV shows etc.
Donnie looks so good and he’s been around forever. You have a great family.❤
This is my first time seeing Chris and I'm shocked his father actually cloned himself. The power of genes. God bless the Osmond family I have been a fan as a child and now looking at Donny's son Chris it just puts a smile on my face because genes lives on.
Wow, he looks just like his dad.😊 Donny was my heart throb as a kid.

@@faile1997 okay, how long have you been a fan of me?
Best of Luck with the podcast Chris & Alta, loved the whole episode, your dad is super proud! ❤ xx
I love Donny Osmond I’ve been a fan since 71 ❤

You really should interview your mom- I think many people would love to hear her perspective on how she dealt with having her husband as a star- and what she endured and what she did to keep herself and her family so strong and caring
Hi Chris, The best interview I've seen your dad do. Loved it. Agree you need to have your Mom on.
