I was obessed with your whole family from 9 years old. I've calmed down a bit, but I am a convert and your family were my missionaries. For that, I will praise the name Osmond forever. In 1975, we drove through Utah on vacation. I could not convince my father to stop in Provo, so I faked having to use the restroom. I only got to see a gas station, but I picked up a rock as a souvenir. My walls were covered in posters. I have five female cousins around my age. We were all going to marry an Osmond. I decided I wanted Jay. Too much competition for Donny. Seriously, I think he may have been the single most famous and popular teenage boy in the entire world. Tell Donny if he wants to vacation somewhere he can freely walk around unnoticed, to go to Fiji. We just returned from a mission there, and no one knows you guys.

Chris and Alta, listen to yourselves. You are upset with your Dad for YOUR phone not playing well with others. Android plays nice and doesn't force people to pay double for their phones. Does it hold their music hostage. Has a far better keyboard. I had an iPhone and every Android I've had after it has been wonderful and lasted longer. My Samsung takes AmaZing photos!

Donny has learned when he needs to go into character. I guess starting so young in show biz has shaped him . I'm thinking someone should maybe think in doing a reality TV show .....of course I wouldn't do it myself lol , I'm to private . I'm retired and loving it . Grandbabies grandbabies, grandbabies and sometimes just peace and quiet 😊❤

Loving this. Born in 1964, I grew up during the Osmond craze as the youngest of three siblings two of which are sisters. My perspective is that of the star. He was young and therefore emotionally-relatable to his fans of like-age which was my eldest sister, Debbee. “DJ + DO,” “I ❤Donny” was written in pencil all over our shared bedroom door. Tiger Beat posters. Albums. For me, you might say that your dad for better or worse shaped a part of my formative-year’s worldview. When he sang, we all knew he was singing to us. When you watch those younger years, the energy from the Osmond’s was powerful. When Donny sang, he left it all on the field. It created a tangible moment - literal feelings that lasted a lifetime. It’s this that kept us coming back for me. He talks of spending ten years trying to reinvent himself after D&M Show. However, all may rest assured that this was only because of decisions by industry exec’s. The Osmond’s continued to be coveted by America. The industry may have forgotten your dad, but we never did. Ever. They missed a huge opportunity during those years. Having followed your dad’s career and clinging to every show and interview, you are a blessed young man to have grown up with this wisdom. Someone recently said, “Flattery is like perfume. It’s made to sniff, but don’t swallow.” Your grandparents appear to have instilled this well into their children. Your family is a unique and breath of fresh air in this world of insanity. You and your brothers now get to carry the mantle of all that’s good of Creation. I’d like to close with this personal story. Earlier I told of my sister Debbee. Deb was diagnosed with cancer in her early 30’s. The next 15 years were spent in and out of remission, chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant, NIH, Emory, radiation, and all that comes with a compromised immunity. Deb passed in 2006 at 48. Way, way too young. Years later I had the occasion to visit my hometown and was given the opportunity to visit the small home we grew up in. The newest owner and her husband were in the process of remodeling and updating when he passed and the projects came to a halt. As the widow was taking us through the home, we came to our little bedroom shared by we three girls. As I began telling of our childhood in that room, your dad was made part of the memories when she interrupted. She told that she and her husband spent hours trying to sand down the decades of paint coating the bedroom door. They got to the original layer and it wouldn’t sand despite their vigilant efforts. She closed the door to show us the backside and there it was. In pencil. Back to the future. My sister was a young teen again. Vibrant and giddy. Her youthful affinity for your dad written on the back of the door that stood the test of time. And sanding! One of the greatest treasures I’ve ever been afforded in life the result of your dad’s teen influence.

Adria, Thank you for "sharing" Simone when she went on the "Gold Over America" tour! I went to the Milwaukee, WI performance. She was so loved and welcomed by the audience! I wish I could attach the video and pictures I took that night for Adria. As a former USA gymnastics gymnast, I want to share my love for the sport and ABOVE ALL THE GYMNAST. I love respect and appreciation for what Simone did in Tokyo! Putting her mental health and safety above everything else at that moment in her life was empowering and historical. I hope gymnastics in the States keeps evolving after the removal of certain individuals and the closure of a certain gym...I mean RANCH. Any type of abuse is not ok. I hope coaching abuse has drastically declined and every young gymnast/human should be educated about the types of abuse and mistreatment to be aware of and what to look out for to protect and keep themselves and their teammates safe. ♥ 🔥 🤸‍♂ 🤸‍♂😊 😊 From personal experience, it's difficult to still have flashbacks of my coaches using abuse tactics to keep me in check. Let's just say, I realized and accepted earlier on that I wasn't going to be the next Simone Biles. So, I started playing and bouncing around more at practice. I enjoyed flipping around and throwing and sometimes trying new skills that I wasn't afraid of or gave me the twisties. Crying and hiding in the locker room/bathroom to get out of throwing certain skills was normalized. I remember my floor and beam coach was unnecessarily cruel to me. I was deathly afraid of back tumbling and I was never physically capable of doing a backward over on a beam. At my gym, we called the twisties a mental block. A mental block was physically stopping my body in the middle of throwing a dangerous skill. My mind and body were disconnected...out of sync. Several times, my floor coach secretly watched me avoid taking my turn to practice my back-tumbling passes. My coach would wait til the end of floor practice to publicly embarrass me in front of my teammates and other gymnasts practicing in the gym at the same time. My coach made me throw back-to-back backward tumbling passes without a break in between. My coach made my teammates sit there to watch and wait for me to finish. My beam coach had to spot me on my faux backward overs on the beam. I literally couldn't physically do a backward over. One time at a compulsory meet, the beam judge didn't give me credit for throwing a backward over because, from the judge's perspective, I wasn't throwing a backwalk over. When I was supposed to do the back walkover, the judge stated that my backward bend and backward body motion weren't evidential enough. My beam score was 4.5 out of 10. My coach was pissed and I was standing in front of the judge crying while watching my teammate on the beam. I understand the point of gymnastics judges is to judge gymnast's routines. But damn. I was around 12 years old competing at a level 6 compulsory local gym meet. every other meet, the beam judge was willing to give me the credit alongside major deductions...like form, balance check, and falling off the beam. For me, a 7.5 on beam was like 10. I believe I should at least be rewarded for my perseverance and guts in throwing a skill I was physically unable to do. My beam coach would do the same thing as my floor coach. Had to throw so many in a row without a break while my teammates watched. Woah. this comment turned into like a therapy/journal entry. My point is gymnastics was naturally fun for me. I enjoyed bouncing around and having fun with my teammates. If a coach is reading this Psychologically scarring your gymnast is ineffective, and cruel and can leave invisible scars that might haunt them for a lifetime. Gymnastics is an excellent workout and challenges gymnasts to throw impossible skills. It's freeing for the body. It's artistic yet powerful. It's a unique sport and each gymnast is different...Let the gymnasts excel and do their own thing. Let gymnastics be FUN.

My sisters and I came home one day and our artist mother had made gigantic mod podge collages on two of our bedroom walls (it was painted purple with purple carpet). She had secretly spent her free time cutting out pictures from magazines (flowers, anything cute that girls like) and in the middle of one collage was a supersized poster of none other than Donny Osmond (we didn't have much money so she probably got it from Tiger Beat magazine). The other wall had David Cassidy. I wish I had photos of these collages. How could any girl of that era not have a huge crush on Donny. But actually, when I see their videos today, the whole Osmond family were stars when true talent and real skills created stardom, unlike today where there is so much of gimmickry and shock value. But I wonder which of their parents was the comedian who thought up all the funny things they did to elevate their performances as little barber shop quartet boys. ps android lol
