I’m about a year or so older than Donny and MJ so I followed their careers from the beginning. They hit the ground running and never looked back. The parallels between their two families are amazing.

I am 53 years old and was a huge Donny Osmond fan. The first book I ever bought as a young kid was “This is Donny”. But I never listened to The Osmonds until this year and have been totally blown away. The music, the jumpsuits, the dancing….they were amazing. Merrill has an amazing voice and when he and Donny sing, it’s magic. I feel so cheated that I wasn’t introduced to them earlier. I have watched every video on TH-cam multiple times and wish that there was more. I wish there was a filmed concert. They deserve to be in the rock and roll hall of fame!

I like Donny Osmond in general. I was too young to really know his music, but I was aware that he & MJ were friends. He had even mentioned that he & Michael kept in touch after he left Neverland; after the allegations, etc. BUT here he speaks about "Michael's strange choices". WHAT does that even mean??? Michael did what he had to do to protect himself & his children. "They" destroyed Neverland for him & he couldn't go back there. Donny DIDN'T need to speak about MJ in any kind of negative way. I'm so tired of people saying they were Mike's "friend", but then bash him (even if low-key) when he's not around. A real friend will lift you up ALWAYS. It would have been VERY easy for him to simply speak positively of Mike WITHOUT "shading" him.

Unfortunately this is a common thing with people who knew Michael, it’s like they want to “look reasonable” to those with pitchforks rather than say what’s the truth, especially men. The only celebrity I’ve seen vehemently defend Michael without shading him is Alfonso Ribeiro “Carlton” from Fresh Prince of Bel Air who was in the Pepsi commercial with Michael.

I hate it when Donny Osmond ever mentions Michael Jackson in interviews. Because no matter how much time he spends talking about his newest project, it’s the sentence or two he spends talking about Michael that the media always gravitates towards and headlines in articles instead of the reason Donny was being interviewed in the first place. Then because of that, all the weird Michael Jackson fans come in droves and get all huffy when someone doesn’t grovel at the feet of a dead man and lightly suggests that Michael did odd things as an adult: which is a fact, even if you don’t include the potential child molesting and pedophilia. Donny always spoke highly of Michael even if it wasn’t always popular to do so while he was alive, and his comment about Michael Jackson making questionable decisions later in life doesn’t change that. Stop looking for a reason to get offended when there is none.
