this stuff is fascinating! the thing where it snaps you back in bounds when you stop moving sounds like it could be useful, just can't thing of anything you could do with it rn.
you can also get a character out of bounds by only placing normal exits (not a player spawning exit), and to keep the player in bounds put a hallway in the bottom left of the editor. that hallway acts like a spawner for the player. you dont also have to put him out of bounds only, you can spawn baldi in a different hallway or trap him etc
I know about this, though I didn't mention it because I've seen others talk about it before. It's mainly useful for decoupling the spawn from an elevator.
The only reason playing maps isn't instant is because I very SPECIFICALLY put in logic to mark tiles as impassible to fix wandering/math machines but it i was also hoping it'd fix npc gates, grr... still some mysteries I need to solve.
That's funny. Does that mean this is mod exclusive jank, or are you just trying to patch some of the games bugs. Personally, I'd prefer bugs that are just how the game works to not be patched.
@@Mc_Mcarthy_Jones Well no situation as the one shown ever happens in the actual game as nothing truly blocks or locks in any character, so in all honesty I am not sure. And if it is just game jank then it will be eventually fixed but way later.
I found another way to get out of bounds using an elevate. also I'm making a program to save multiple levels. it will be compatible with Linux and windows
@@Cart1416 Are you talking about only covering up the center tile of the elevator and leaving the other 2 empty? Because I discovered that while making this video. If you've found a new setup please let me know!

Update: as of 0.5.1, placing objects in a sloped matter to shift the player up or down no longer works. Sad.

When the mod is finished it should say "DIY" instead of "WIP"
