Have you ever been learning a piece that is always the first piece you play when you sit down at the piano? When I was 16, this was that piece for me. My favorite part of this nocturne is the stretto sections followed by the unexpected rests and then the low bass notes.
Just got assigned this piece for piano lessons. I love how you play this piece, I feel that your style really brings out the emotion Chopin wanted to convey.
Beautiful nocturne! I love how you are emphasizing the right hand more than the left, however I think you should “cushion” the downs of the right hand so that it is not so bangy and harsh. You are doing this well with the left hand, I think it can be incorporated into the right while still keeping the emphasis on the right. Great job! I love this piece and I love playing it!
Alright another nocturne! I was so soothed by your performance. I think this nocturne is truly an underrated gem. The way you play those dramatic and unexpected moments/rests is really really nice. I have to say those stretto sections are my favorite as well. Superb as always!
I love these lesser played nocturnes, they're all so sweet, as if they were honey; and they flow like it too. The no. 2 from this opus is actually my favorite of all the nocturnes, I decided to learn it last week and it'd be great to one day hear your interpretation of it. Anyways, great content once again and I hope to see more from you soon.
Aww! What a great analogy. I love them all but this one and Op. 27 No. 2 are my favorite. I hope you enjoy learning it! My first piano teacher always told me to learn the left hand first for nocturnes.
this nocturne is such underrated, but it has a big potential, this has such a very beautiful melody in right hand, left hand arpeggios is, i can guess, perfect, i like all in this nocturne - flowing arpeggios in left hand, such a beautiful and wonderful melody in right hand, the part before rest with crescendo in both hands, that gives some really straining effect, but then the bass note g back us to home - tonic. the best in this nocturne part after second trill - modulation in b moll (h moll), this forte-piano section is wonderful, accords gives sadly and some aggressive vibe, but last two chords - e moll into b moll is something really tragical and sadly moments from all nocturnes, this best nocturne for me from 20 (include c# moll posth)
2:26 Almost :p I never heard this nocturne before. To be honest, i never really liked all the Chopin's nocturne but this on might be one of my favourite. Thank you for creating such beautiful covers, it's always helping me to feel better :-) Wish you the best !
Oh, how lovely! 😃 Can't believe I've never heard this Nocturne before! Suppose I have to listen to them all now 😂 This is a beautiful piece and your performance was superb! This really was a treat 😁
I would definitely recommend listening to them all when you have a chance. It's nice to play them in the evening while cooking dinner (how romantic) or I like to listen when knitting.
The most famous, Op.9 No. 2 is level 9 of royal conservatory of music grading system, typically the first nocturne students learn. there is also the one in e minor.

Same here , and im 16 now too . Great playing btw
Yea when I sit at the piano and get asked to play something or I just want to play something I almost always play waltz op. 69 no. 2 Chopin
The ornamental/fast notes here are wonderful and sparkly! Such a nice nocturne (aren't they all)
Wow! Thanks. That comment means a lot coming from you :)
I love when the final chord is kept minor! Makes the turn at the coda more dramatic/final
4:03 your hands disappeared faster than the speed of light lol ! jokes aside, such a beautiful interpretation, thank you !
I adore finding out new channels like yours! Incredible!
This needs more attention
Underrated nocturne for sure. Lovely performance!
