I went to school Jack Brewer or "Jackie" as we called him. My father went to school with his father as well. He was a senior when I was a freshman. For being a football star in a Texas high school he was probably one of the most humble people I've ever met. I never thought that I would have ever seen him speaking on national TV.

As a black man who has lived in this country for all 50 years of my life and who has been harrassed by the police simply because I'm black... I can tell you that there is a 50X higher possibility of getting harassed, beaten, or shot by somebody who looks just like me. Ask an inner city black kid if they are more afraid of the cops or the gangs... the answer is obvious, but we are living in a day when we're not allowed to say it. We need black fathers back in the home. That's our biggest issue. We do need to do something about bad cops... but that is FAR from our biggest problem. Most of us in real life know this... a lot of people don't realize this because all they know is the media narrative. I'm old enough to remember when the "news" used to actually be the news... just tell me what happened... not what you want me to believe about it. I can decide that for myself.

Ron, your about as old as me, we made such progress in the 80's. It didn't matter in my high school who you were physically, people were friends with you because of who you were as a person. He introduced criminal justice reform (First Step Act). 91% of those whose sentences were reduced via the act are POC.

Our schools aren’t teaching kids history anymore! It’s time to STAND UP and take them back! It is the God-given responsibility of the PARENTS to teach their kids. Our public schools need to be held responsible for what are children are being taught.

In 6th grade, I begged to go to public school after I found out I had failed the year and, it didn't dawn on me until years later that I screwed up (plus I would have had to take summer school either way, so I could have just passed S.S. & gone back🤬) I had to go to summer school and then transferred to public for 7th grade. Conveniently, my two best friends' middle school. 🙄 Bad idea, bad decision on my parents part to give in to a child (home life is a whole other story, basically @ 5yrs old, parents split, custody to mom but dad had me every other weekend. Dad was an alcoholic at the time,m. I had zero discipline at mom's. I could do whatever I wanted, we had more of a best friend relationship back then, mom was abusing prescription meds) I rebelled, started experimenting with things children shouldn't be and eventually dropping out & going to an alternative school where you can test out of different subjects at your own pace (which was a great school & way easier for me) but, dropped out of there after, I don't know, 6-8 months..? My grandma ended up taking me to GED classes a few years after quitting school. She couldn't stand to see what was happening to me. I thank her so much for that. Got my GED in 2006 which was when I would have graduated anyway. I have had a hard life full of addiction, regret & emptiness. I honestly believe the transition from private school to public school + all the abnormal issues a child can see in a public middle school I e. Teen pregnancy, blatant disrespect from students to teachers, physical female fights, physical student - teacher fights, public sexual activity on campus, ,drugs, alcohol, armed police officer on campus everyday.. in combination with the obvious liberal position most teachers implement into curriculum, lack of leadership/lack of support for what is right.. the list goes on... That's what I experienced. I regret leaving my Catholic private school g my friends there. I see the kids from my private school class today on Facebook and they all turned out great! I envy them. The few who left before 8th grade are the ones you see that have had difficulties. I would have had much better influenced had I stayed and st such a crucial time in life - preteen/teen years. 😞

I went to school Jack Brewer or "Jackie" as we called him. My father went to school with his father as well. He was a senior when I was a freshman. For being a football star in a Texas high school he was probably one of the most humble people I've ever met. I never thought that I would have ever seen him speaking on national TV.

As a black man who has lived in this country for all 50 years of my life and who has been harrassed by the police simply because I'm black... I can tell you that there is a 50X higher possibility of getting harassed, beaten, or shot by somebody who looks just like me. Ask an inner city black kid if they are more afraid of the cops or the gangs... the answer is obvious, but we are living in a day when we're not allowed to say it. We need black fathers back in the home. That's our biggest issue. We do need to do something about bad cops... but that is FAR from our biggest problem. Most of us in real life know this... a lot of people don't realize this because all they know is the media narrative. I Am a single mother raising a black male preteen and I support Trump. President Trump has done more for the black community than most. In the past 4 years i have lived the most comfortable in my entire life.

@@ochobengal He presided over record low unemployment for all demographics, which drives wages up. Under Trump, income among the bottom 50% of wage earners has been increasing at a faster rate than for the top 20%. Prior to COVID, black unemployment was the lowest in history.
He lowered income and payroll taxes, which disproportionately helps low and middle income earners who benefit from more job opportunities and keep more of their earnings.
He increased funding for HBCUs and locked it in for 10 years, so they don't have to go begging every year for money.
He promotes school choice (school vouchers, charter schools, etc) so kids in poor neighborhoods (disproportionately POC) aren't chained to shitty schools.
He introduced a program of tax breaks to attract $75b in long term private sector investment in distressed neighborhoods (Opportunity Zones).
He presided over a massive deregulation, which removes barriers to entry for aspiring entrepreneurs and small businesspeople. Many of those barriers are financial, and removing them disproportionately helps the bottom 50% of income earners.
He introduced criminal justice reform (First Step Act). 91% of those whose sentences were reduced via the act are POC.

@Dana Cameron I went to a K-8 private Catholic school here in Texas. In 6th grade, I begged to go to public school after I found out I had failed the year and, it didn't dawn on me until years later that I screwed up (plus I would have had to take summer school either way, so I could have just passed S.S. & gone back🤬) I had to go to summer school and then transferred to public for 7th grade. Conveniently, my two best friends' middle school. 🙄 Bad idea, bad decision on my parents part to give in to a child (home life is a whole other story, basically @ 5yrs old, parents split, custody to mom but dad had me every other weekend. Dad was an alcoholic at the time,m. I had zero discipline at mom's. I could do whatever I wanted, we had more of a best friend relationship back then, mom was abusing prescription meds) I rebelled, started experimenting with things children shouldn't be and eventually dropping out & going to an alternative school where you can test out of different subjects at your own pace (which was a great school & way easier for me) but, dropped out of there after, I don't know, 6-8 months..? My grandma ended up taking me to GED classes a few years after quitting school. She couldn't stand to see what was happening to me. I thank her so much for that. Got my GED in 2006 which was when I would have graduated anyway. I have had a hard life full of addiction, regret & emptiness. I honestly believe the transition from private school to public school + all the abnormal issues a child can see in a public middle school I e. Teen pregnancy, blatant disrespect from students to teachers, physical female fights, physical student - teacher fights, public sexual activity on campus, ,drugs, alcohol, armed police officer on campus everyday.. in combination with the obvious liberal position most teachers implement into curriculum, lack of leadership/lack of support for what is right.. the list goes on... That's what I experienced. I regret leaving my Catholic private school g my friends there. I see the kids from my private school class today on Facebook and they all turned out great! I envy them. The few who left before 8th grade are the ones you see that have had difficulties. I would have had much better influenced had I stayed and st such a crucial time in life - preteen/teen years. 😞
