I was widowed for 9 years before I decided to move into a 55+ adult community. It was the best move I made. I’m here 5 years now and made good friends. We look out for each other. I know my husband would have wanted me to live my best life
Jerry and Linda you make the start of my week so fun! I always look forward to you two no matter what day of the week. Thank you for you the fun you provide to us! ❤❤❤
Loved the shelties & kitty! Such sweet friends 🐾 Death warmed over? Gee & to think we were hoping we look that good & are as active when we get to y'alls age in 10 years 😶😅 ~You both look great!👍~
Good advice Linda regarding the lady whose spouse died. She should definitely rent before making the move. In my opinion She should wait a year before making any big decisions. I was a widow at 29 and it was a big adjustment. Allow yourself to go through the grieving stages.
3:35 Rule of thumb, if you can drink the water you can water the plant. How dirty is your outside water? 15:03 It's called a PIG mat. Lowes or Home Depot sell it in rolls.
Linda, you are a pro. You have really eased into your TH-cam gig. I have noticed the last few months; you are owning it. Watch out Jerry, Linda may start her own show. lol Love you both.
Just moved in last week and glad to finally be here! My husband and I are on total opposites of the political spectrum. During election years, we try and keep the peace by not having yard signs or bumper stickers and listening to each other’s “propaganda” when the other is not in earshot. Not always easy, but we seem to make it work after almost 26 years and five Presidents so far. Hope to see you now that I got here!
Hey my pets of the week made it! 😊. I think I forgot to post our names and where we’re from (NH) but no matter, our ‘kids’ were the star of the show 🥰. Thanks for posting! Will be thinking and praying for you this week with Milton 💨 🌧️
Just because someone has a salty comment doesn’t mean you should explain yourselves . you do you. We didn’t see a picture of them did we?😉😏 You both are looking great! 😊
I like the new sweet and salty graphics. Great way to answer the political question! You both look great, and while eating healthy is wise, I say, you have to enjoy what you eat! The important thing is you are enjoying life, and others are enjoying you and your show. You add a lot to spreading the good word about The Villages...keep it up!
Love to watch the bloopers, you guys look like you are having so much fun!!! I know this channel is a lot of work, many thanks for taking the time to produce this channel. Love you guys!
Regarding the lady whose husband passed prior to their move to The Villages, The Ladies of the Lanai had a woman on whose husband passed six months after their move (he was diagnosed six months earlier). His widow seems to be very happy; she loves her neighborhood and for her being surrounded by neighbors has been a blessing. She joined the women's group for her Village as a starting point. Be safe from Milton and God bless.
I've been "absent" for awhile due to some things going on here, and having watched today I realize how much I missed your shows! Really is a fun (and informative) break in the day, always positive and uplifting! Be safe with the storm!
Great show! We really enjoy the pet of the week segment. Beautiful pups and cute kitty! As far as the salty, i think you should cut that segment out. Don't give them your wonderful energy. We love you both! ❤✨ Bloopers 😂
Jerry, also gasoline with ethanol will attract water. As ethanol is alcohol. With water in the fuel system it will attack the aluminum in the fuel system. Plus, if you have an older gas golf cart, the water can sit on the carburetor jet and cause surging. I have a 67 Pontiac and I go to Circle K as their non ethanol gas has a octane rating of 90 instead of 87 like you put in your golf cart. 90 is better than 87 as it will reduce pre-ignition/pinging.
Thanks for the video! Sandhill cranes are great - we have a lot of them in our community. However, some of them are very attracted to the ATM located at the front of our community, and they prevent people from using it. Amy had some great comments about safety deposit boxes, and that's been a hot topic on NextDoor. I would never have thought of polishing my garage door, but now it's something to think about.
I learned the very hard way with politics, it’s best to keep it to yourselves especially with family & friends. On another note, no need to explain why you eat the way you do, just enjoy!
Hi you two! I'd tune in to your videos just to hear you laugh. It certainly brightens up my day each time I watch. Take care and stay safe from the storms.
Always enjoy your Mailbag Monday shows. Gets our week off to a great start! I can't imagine anyone not watching the whole show so they can see the 'Bloopers'!! Those are the BEST!! Hope Linida has a safe and enjoyable trip back to good ol' IN. Got the word jumble ... my Dr. said my golf game would be better when I have that done! Not sure if I believe him. Thanks.
the other thing about the carpet is to keep the tire heat from being in direct contact with the floor. if the tires are really hot it will melt the epoxy
We use cotton throw rugs under the tires of all of our vehicles because they can bond to the epoxy and peel it off. We set a yoga mat on the floor overnight and it bonded to the floor leaving a ring of rolled up mat on the epoxy. Even certain plastic shoe bottoms will adhere.
It's great to have your favorite treats, and even more fun when you can get a coupon bargain!! The wildlife, especially the cranes, were one of the most exciting things about moving to the Villages 🐦🐇🐿🦅🦩🐊...that and y'all. 🤗 Adding cleaning the garage door to the long to-do list. Thanks Peter.
Good garage door tip. Thanks Peter. We’re about to have our doors repainted because the paint got so bleached out. I’ll be waxing it quarterly from now on!
In all honesty, I would rent a loo and have it placed discreetly in my garage during a block party. There is no “holding it” for many people. I don’t care for people walking in and out of my home. Renting one is relatively inexpensive. Money well spent.
As you know, we are “snowbirds” 😊 We’re probably not getting back down there this week (🌀Milton) but will be back next week. Can’t wait. I hope people don’t criticize “snowbirds”. We have every right that year-round Villagers have. And we PAY dearly for it … every month … utilities, lawn service, the bond, the amenity fee (and only use it half a year). I almost feel I have to play golf twice as much and use twice the amenities (to get our “money’s worth”). Yes, it’s harder to get on the course October-April, but their tee time system allows for those of us that can’t play year-round to get out. It’s fair. Year-rounders (is there a word for them? 🤷🏼♂️) may not like that they may not be able to get their favorite tee times, or get out as often as they like, but they pay no more than we do. With the influx of us “snowbirds”, more traffic, squares are busier, getting into restaurants more crowded, etc., but … I hope you don’t pick this as “Sweet & Salty” 😏 As far as questions, … What are Villagers FAVORITE activities and/or amenities? Diane loves Cardio Drumming. I play Golf and love riding my eBike. But we’ve also played Mexican Train, Shuffleboard, Pool/Billiards (at the rec center), Darts, etc. our neighbors prefer Pickleball (which as you know, may be more popular than golf), Dancing and other clubs. I know … splitting hairs 😏
Non potable water is just water that is not treated , example farm pond or in our case here in TV retention ponds. Growing up in the country I have no issues using what is called non potable water to raise and eat plants and fruit. Sad that some people pick their friends based on politics. We are all Americans! Ybull
Jam on a burger is a no go for me. I have an issue with fruit on meat all together. Don't get me started with Pineapple on a pizza. Cranes can defend themselves by jumping and using their feet to scratch or gouge you. I was photographing one and was in camouflage so it didn't see me at first but when it did it jumped up in the air and started taking swipes at me with it's feet. Great show and have a wonderful trip Linda. Be safe during the bad weather coming your way.
Linda, you were absolutely right on your advice for the widow. Those pets were beautiful on your pet of the week. Thanks for making your platform non-political. With so much hatred, etc, going on right now, it just feels good to watch something that isn’t political related.
Just got home from work on the West Coast... Usually I'm home earlier & have to wait until I wake up to watch. Guess I'll be staying up a little longer tonight.
Just watched your latest video. Thank you for your political neutrality. That gave me comfort! Love watching you. I'm still trying to decide whether my spouse and I will try the Villages out! Stay safe and healthy guys!
Too funny is the question about driveway parties & restrooms. I've had the same question. Now I know! Thanks for sharing all you do. I look forward to your shows & to the day we can retire & move there. In the meantime, we visit each November. See you when we get there!!
Hello Jerry and Linda hope you both are ready for the hurricane. Yes I really enjoyed the live show on Wednesday. That's a great bubble rap thanks so much Peter but how often should we do this? Hope you will stay safe and be careful with the hurricane. I love the letter that James sent you and I agree with what he said!
I did not know that was a fig tree, either! Here in Pennbrooke, the sandhill cranes do not run away from us. They mostly just ignore us. They have the run of the community, even on the streets! We love watching them. I agree with James’ sweet comment! Love your bloopers at the end. Jerry, some of your facial expressions remind me of Dick Van Dyke❣️
Awwww beautiful collies and cat in Pet of the week segment. Linda, who is that little cutie your holding in Pet of the week segment? Love your shows Jerry and Linda! Never miss an episode and always watch till the very end. 🎉🎉🎉 💗🌸💗
During my one month stay, I did not know either host at the driveway parties that I went to and they let me use the bathroom in their home. Somone escorted me to the bathroom so I would know where it was and just talked to me as I headed back out of the house.
Cranes and Alligators and Hurricanes OH MY! Maybe one of the villages should be named OZ. Boy that "Babalsushka" guy is salty, but don't worry about that Jerry and Linda, just keep in mind how some leftovers improve after setting in the refrigarator overnight. But where are your matching Jerry and Linda tee shirts? Keep safe from Milton.
Good morning folks, as always it's great to see you today. I have often wondered the same thing about fruits or vegetables that get irrigation water, that water would have all of the runoff from the yards and the streets (fertilizer, insecticides, pesticides, gas, oil, grease and rubber). I don't know if the chemicals would pass through the plant into the fruit and make it unsafe to consume.
I thought non ethanol gas *was* good ol’ plain gas? Y’all be careful with this storm. Florida has dealt with multiple storm seasons before (2004 comes to mind). Praying for your safety!! 😊
non ethanol fuel, is the stuff from back in the old days, when Gas was 32.9 a gallon, this new stuff if left to sit, say you are a snowbird, and leave a car sit in your Garage for 6 months or so,, will do damage to many parts of your car, and will absorb Water,,
Hi Jerry and Linda. My wife and I use “iPhones” and “iPads”, but when the time comes to upgrade, we will get rid of the “iClouds”! 😊 Stay safe during Milton. Randy and Penny
The last few words my wife said before passing always was you have to move to The Villages she said you love golf and driving the golf cart. It took me awhile I finally moved to The Village I can’t see how I could fit in better anywhere else. She should make the move, she won’t be disappointed.
Was in the villages this weekend checking out the new lot !! So excited to get to the design appointment. Also, great decision on not sharing your politics! Also, how do we get Linda’s meatloaf recipe?
LINDA'S MEATLOAF CANDY. (That's what Jerry calls it😁) 1 1/4 lbs ground beef or chuck 80/20 3 Tbsp. onion chopped 1 Tbsp. Finely shaved carrots 1/2 tsp. Salt 1/4 tsp. Pepper 1 tsp. Worchestershire sauce 1 tsp. Soy sauce 1 Tbsp A-1 steak sauce 1 Tbsp BBQ sauce 1/2 tsp. mustard 1 egg 1/2 sleeve of Ritz crackers or similar TOPPING: 1/3 Cup Ketchup 4 Tbsp brown sugar Mix all ingredients. ( except topping) in a large bowl. Mold into a loaf. Mix ketchup and brown sugar to coat over the top of the loaf. The sauce goes on before putting it in the oven. Bake in a 1 1/2 qt. baking dish for 1 plophour at 350°. Drain any grease. Let it stand Enjoy
I used to get non ethanol gas for my lawnmower and it was expensive. Now, I buy cans of gas at Home Depot and put stabilizer in it. I wonder if you can put regular gas in your golf cart and then use stabilizer. Maybe that would cost too much.
Hey Jerry and Linda I got a question about a bubble wrap with Peter... can you ask him did he ever do an episode about insulating the inside of a garage door?
Love the cartoon of the guy angrily typing away. Someone once told me when she gets angry she types a nasty email and instead of sending it to that person she sends it to herself. Her 2nd email address is just for her vents. She gets it out of her system without hurting anyone. BTW, you both look good so I don’t know what that person is talking about. Also, you’re both grownups and it’s your choice what to eat. I believe in eating lots of fruits, vegetables and healthy proteins but I am not going to criticize someone else for their choices. I only criticize people’s choices in presidential election votes when not the same as mine, ha.
Wondering if your friend “Pilot Al” knows of a pilots group or club for fellow pilots in the TV. Hope to be in our Well Point home in March. Thanks for the Videos
As for the snow birds, there are obvious signs they are returning. We start to see empty liquor bottles and beer cans/bottles discarded along the roadway. Also start to see more dog poop 💩 that the owners refuse to pick up after.
Thank you for not going political. You guys have a nice neutral vibe. It’s special.
❤❤❤
I was widowed for 9 years before I decided to move into a 55+ adult community. It was the best move I made. I’m here 5 years now and made good friends. We look out for each other. I know my husband would have wanted me to live my best life
Thank you for sharing that Evelyn, that will be some reassurance to the person that asked the question.
Jerry and Linda you make the start of my week so fun! I always look forward to you two no matter what day of the week. Thank you for you the fun you provide to us! ❤❤❤
Our pleasure!
Thanks!
Thank you Denise! So nice.❤❤❤❤❤

Oh my goodness. Thank you for sharing.
Agree. Good advice Linda!
Great answer, Jerry, about voting for Washington!
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
3:35 Rule of thumb, if you can drink the water you can water the plant. How dirty is your outside water?
15:03 It's called a PIG mat. Lowes or Home Depot sell it in rolls.
Great show. Stay safe during this upcoming storm.
I agree, it doesn't matter who you vote for; it is so important that you vote!
Linda, you are a pro. You have really eased into your TH-cam gig. I have noticed the last few months; you are owning it. Watch out Jerry, Linda may start her own show. lol Love you both.

In that case you may have the most appropriate name of any viewer.😁😁😁
Same here. Never an issue or concern. But things are sure different now!
We really don’t care for yard signs/bumper stickers.
Hey my pets of the week made it! 😊. I think I forgot to post our names and where we’re from (NH) but no matter, our ‘kids’ were the star of the show 🥰. Thanks for posting! Will be thinking and praying for you this week with Milton 💨 🌧️
We loved your beautiful shelties & kitty - absolutely adorable how they're such sweet friends 🐾
Yum for your meatloaf! Made it last Sunday for after church. Delicious!❤❤❤
Just because someone has a salty comment doesn’t mean you should explain yourselves . you do you. We didn’t see a picture of them did we?😉😏 You both are looking great! 😊
100%
Thanks mom. I don't know if we had their picture or not. If we did I would have photoshopped a few more pounds on them. 😆😆😆

Definitely a friend of the channel, still watching 30 mins in! See you when I get there!
❤❤❤
Great video. Just laughed out loud at the bloopers. You two are so much fun! 😂
😆😆😆
Yall look good to me. That person must have sent that letter to the wrong couple .
😁😁😁😁😁
Great show Jerry and Linda, I Love that you both touch so many people, you guys are great!!❤

In my opinion figs off the tree are much better than fig cookies.
Great show! We really enjoy the pet of the week segment. Beautiful pups and cute kitty! As far as the salty, i think you should cut that segment out. Don't give them your wonderful energy. We love you both! ❤✨ Bloopers 😂
❤❤❤❤❤
You both are wearing nice shirts today! Linda is looking good!
Great tip from Peter! We wax the exterior side of our front door for the same reason!
Good morning Jerry & Linda. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the show. Balabushka needs to get a life!! Can't wait to see you when I get there.
Thank you Alecia! ❤
Got the word scramble. Great show.
🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Excellent show ❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it Connie!
Thanks so much Kathy!
Always enjoy your Mailbag Monday shows. Gets our week off to a great start! I can't imagine anyone not watching the whole show so they can see the 'Bloopers'!! Those are the BEST!! Thanks guys! 😁🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆😁
We love using the golf cart gas station! Not only is it cute, but you don't have to worry about the big cars. It's all ours! Feels safer.
Great show today stay safe from the storm that’s coming!
the other thing about the carpet is to keep the tire heat from being in direct contact with the floor. if the tires are really hot it will melt the epoxy
Great point!
❤❤❤❤❤
Good garage door tip. Thanks Peter. We’re about to have our doors repainted because the paint got so bleached out. I’ll be waxing it quarterly from now on!
You guys need to try a good homemade fig preserves! My granny and mama made the best!
If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all. You look great and can't wait to meet you when we move to TV
❤❤❤
we love the new Shoutouts introduction song!! 🎶
In all honesty, I would rent a loo and have it placed discreetly in my garage during a block party. There is no “holding it” for many people. I don’t care for people walking in and out of my home. Renting one is relatively inexpensive. Money well spent.
As you know, we are “snowbirds” 😊
We’re probably not getting back down there this week (🌀Milton)
but will be back next week.
With the influx of us “snowbirds”, more traffic, squares are busier, getting into restaurants more crowded, etc., but …
I hope you don’t pick this as “Sweet & Salty” 😏
As far as questions, …
What are Villagers FAVORITE activities and/or amenities?
Diane loves Cardio Drumming.
I play Golf and love riding my eBike.
But we’ve also played Mexican Train, Shuffleboard, Pool/Billiards (at the rec center), Darts, etc.
our neighbors prefer Pickleball (which as you know, may be more popular than golf), Dancing and other clubs. But…
What is most popular?
What do you think are the Top 10 Activities & Amenities?
… maybe a weekly excerpt highlighting an activity, club or amenity that non-Villagers might not know about? 🤔
Oh, and p.s.
… just to clarify ☝🏻
As a Marine,
I never SWORE to “obey the Commander-in-chief” 🙄
Our oath includes
“ … I will support and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic”
But given the chain of command, yes, ultimately we are required to obey all orders of our superior officers, up to and including the CIC (it’s included in our General Orders, but not our oath). I know … splitting hairs 😏
Thank you Mike, what a great post.
Great show! Stay safe! I have friends in coastal areas that are very worried.🙏🏼
I love your show and i hope you guys are evacuateing! Your children too😢
I sure do look forward to your videos. You make me smile and laugh. Stay safe and may God bless.

Good tips from Bubble Rap and Ask Amy today. Didn't know golf cars took different fuel. I got the word scramble but it took a laser focus.
😁🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆😁
Jerry and Linda…I’m concerned about your boys…are they home now or overseas? I’m hopeful they are all home ❤
One out... two home.
@@JERRYANDLINDA , I’ll pray for him….i hope he’ll be home soon. Things are getting rough in parts of Europe
Stay safe you two! I know you have taken all the precautions! I feel as if I know you …. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🤗
Thank you Beth, you are so kind.
It was nice of you to let the cranes "play through" on the tee! 😁
Linda's a hoot
This was a fun video to watch! Great info. Adorable Pet(s) of the Week!!! Stay safe.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loved your show as always. Watching you from the car on our road trip. Just watched you on the Ladies of the Lanai 😁. Stay safe with the storm coming!

Thanks for the tip!

Stay safe with Milton coming.
I water our fruit trees and raspberry bush with aquarium water when I do water changes. The fruit tastes good!
Sort of guppy flavored.
Hello Jerry and Linda hope you both are ready for the hurricane. Yes I really enjoyed the live show on Wednesday. That's a great bubble rap thanks so much Peter but how often should we do this? That is Spuddy, the puppy of a dear friend.
Palatine is pronounced with a long i. Palatine is just north of my suburb in northwest suburban Chicago. I lived & worked in Palatine 30 years ago.
During my one month stay, I did not know either host at the driveway parties that I went to and they let me use the bathroom in their home. Somone escorted me to the bathroom so I would know where it was and just talked to me as I headed back out of the house.

I used to love a good black and white milkshake. Haven't had one in forever.

Was wondering where the lines were for the scramble but that’s ok👁️👁️ Stay safe you two. It’s our first huriicane and kids told us to come back to WI.
8 and 7 letters.
We will always respect how neutral you are politically, which is fine with us. You do you and we will do us😄
Sand hill cranes are lighter in Fl than they are back home here love our epoxy floors Peter’s house must be spotless lol

Hi Jerry and Linda. My wife and I use “iPhones” and “iPads”, but when the time comes to upgrade, we will get rid of the “iClouds”! 😊 Stay safe during Milton. Randy and Penny
😁🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆😁
The last few words my wife said before passing always was you have to move to The Villages she said you love golf and driving the golf cart. It took me awhile I finally moved to The Village I can’t see how I could fit in better anywhere else. She should make the move, she won’t be disappointed.
❤❤❤❤❤
Was in the villages this weekend checking out the new lot !! So excited to get to the design appointment. Also, great decision on not sharing your politics! Also, how do we get Linda’s meatloaf recipe?
LINDA'S MEATLOAF CANDY.

TOPPING:

@@JERRYANDLINDAthank you !!
Got it ! great clue👍🏼
🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Got the scrabble word today!!!
🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
I used to get non ethanol gas for my lawnmower and it was expensive. Now, I buy cans of gas at Home Depot and put stabilizer in it. I wonder if you can put regular gas in your golf cart and then use stabilizer. Maybe that would cost too much.
Did not get it last week, but got it this week!!!
🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Thanks for the video!
You're welcome!
Regan movie is great 👍
Do not eat anything with irrigation water!
Our irrigation water is potable in our Village of Del Mar, just tap water.
It definitely depends on where you live in TV. Our irrigation water is filthy, dirty, stinky pond water down here south of 44. 😝
@@DeborahLynnM I was raised on pond water out in the country. LOL
I love those Bloopers
🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
What is the color paint you have on your walls in back of you. Love it. Please reply
Sherwin Williams Sea salt. The accent walls are quietude.
@@JERRYANDLINDA thank you.
Hey Jerry and Linda I got a question about a bubble wrap with Peter... can you ask him did he ever do an episode about insulating the inside of a garage door?
Yes, he did one.
Good stuff! Thank you.
Wondering if your friend “Pilot Al” knows of a pilots group or club for fellow pilots in the TV. Hope to be in our Well Point home in March. Thanks for the Videos
Hopefully he will see this and answer.
As for the snow birds, there are obvious signs they are returning. We start to see empty liquor bottles and beer cans/bottles discarded along the roadway. Also start to see more dog poop 💩 that the owners refuse to pick up after.
Silly comment.
@JERRYANDLINDA It may sound silly but it's true. I see it every year. Fact not fiction
Enjoyed your show. I will work on my garage door in my courtyard villa. How many words and what are the space for the word scramble?
2 words, the first one has 8 letters, the second has seven.
@@JERRYANDLINDA I have the word scramble. As the song goes, I can see clearly now. . .
That short video you showed of the cranes I believe, showed a mother and father Crane with an older juvenile.
The juvenile had a gray head instead of the red on the head
Be afraid of the water, very afraid 😮 try potting and watering with potable water? Best
Thanks for the tip
@JERRYANDLINDA anytime how are you??🤩
First! Good luck with the weather this week!
🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Death warmed over? Not at all. You should do an episode dressed as zombies just to highlight the difference. 😅
😆😅🤣😅😆
