- Breaking news from Lebanon: The capital Beirut has been hit by a massive explosion. Dozens of people are said to be injured and there are some reports of people trapped under the rubble. The cause of the blast is not yet known. It's caused widespread damage and appears to be centred on the city's port area.

Yes, 2020 was a very dreadful year thanks to the unrelenting COVID-19 pandemic, the George Floyd protests, the Beirut explosion, and the Australian wildfires to name a few problems. As I write this comment is almost 2024 and luckily everything is just about back to normal before the start of the 2020s.

That very large building you see to the left of the fire/explosion in the last shot? That's a huge grain elevator. Prior to this, Beirut was already in a state of near crisis and food shortage, due to a combination of factors. All the grain inside was destroyed.

you should see the shockwave of a nuke. It destroys everything for Miles. Then when the air comes back destroys it again. Windows miles away are shattered. People nowhere near the blast have their ears rupture .

It will, even if you don't believe in that.
Prayer is a form of concentration meditation, and focuses people on compassion for a few seconds or minutes. Thus it primes people to be more compassionate in their day to day life, creating a better society. There's also the bringing awareness aspect of it.

It's a chemistry storage area there was ammonium nitrate in it and it exploded because of heat my building shook hard my life flashed before my eyes thank god nothing happened

i was in my lebanese family’s home when i felt like a door got loudly slammed in front of me , we all ran out confused just to see a large amount of red smoke in the air and no one in the town knew what happened til an hour later
