I'm so excited.....I had the same scanner (better quality) for over 20 years....So I hadn't programmed or anything for 20 years...It finally shit the bed and I bought a new one...started getting too excited and screwed it up.....couldn't scan, search...etc.....this video.....brought down my ANXIETY...Thank you!

Thank you so much. I got mine an hour ago off amazon and was following another tutorial on programming it. Well I don't know what I did but I ended up not being able to get past the all lockout screen and was resigned to sending it back. This now wiped the slate clean and it's back to normal now. Time to give it another go :)

I know you posted this a while back. But I have the same thing. Well today I was getting in the truck and put my seatbelt on and well I hit the button and now it says all locked out. I'm trying to figure out how to UN LOCKED OUT . LOL I can't seem to find anything and I found yours. how to set back to factory settings? But will it take away the all locked out.. it's only one month old.

Does this scanner have a "rail" feature where you can automatically scan all the railroad frequecies without additional programming?

I bought BC75XLT scanner at a yard sale and the thing comes on but the display does not show anything. Am I doing something wrong or is it no good.

Hi. My son, before he died, bought my husband a Bearcat a BC 796d scanner. He hasn’t been able to use it in years because he was just pressing buttons, not knowing what he was doing, and now, when he goes to turn it on, it turns on only for two seconds and turns off again. Any idea what we need to do to fix that?
I just had that problem. I changed cords and it worked. Hope that helps. Sorry for your loss!

Another thing. Do I put in the frequency number which is usually longer. Then another number says Tone number. I know what that is but do I need it?
Ugh I still have trouble with all the buttons I have to hit.
