you are a legend! bought a GP last weekend, and mine also has this issue. Definitely giving this a go tomorrow after work! ***EDIT*** this saved me a bundle of cash and a lot of trouble having to remove the steering wheel! I used rubbing alcohol for cleaning, though. but the solution was ACE!

You forgot to mention the first-aid kit if you cut your finger with the knife... LOL

My fiat linea headlights blinks and turn on off automatically.. This helped me..
It was very horrible when driving at dark night and suddenly light beam blinks or sometime off..

Hi, I got no main beam at all, but the blue light comes up when I pull the stalk... what could be the issue?
my main beam and dipped are coming on/off by themselves if the sidelights are on, do you think this same procedure might work? my initial thoughts were dodgy contacts [have checked my relay box, all dry and good], I was looking at new stalks but I cant afford brand new, then I found this video.......

That seems to be a mechanical issue so replacement could be needed

A replacement indicator stalk is like £20 at the scrap yard but it’s more hassle to fit it than at least trying this fix first which I will when mine goes wrong!

Very good. Little information my friend's punto of 2005 make a little fault: when you turn on the key the low beam lights remain on even you don't give them command (the command is on 0 but turning on the key they remain on)....does is related to this issue??? Plz reply

Do you also know how to install a 12V connection in the booth? Would make a nice video!
Well you would need to measure a 12v wire which would be on constantly or only on with the ignition on (so it wont drain the battery) and then just splice the wires to it

@@darkpunto when i turn indicator on it blink twice at one moment and then it start to blink normally. Main lights are ok.
@@aubk8 i have the same issue, and sometimes doesent blink at all, only if i gently touch de indicator, normally it happens on humid days

Hallo, je batterij van je afstandsbediening is waarschijnlijk leeg. En gaan het alarm af als er iemand op de stoel zit met de gordel vast?

Nice video but I would have used at least 80% isopropyl alcohol instead of wp 40 for cleaning. All in all nice work

It could be, but it might be a mechanical failure as well. I’d try this solution for free first!

Did this on my 2012 Punto. Solved light issue. But borke one of 3 plastic clips holding outer grip. Still holds on.
