My friend has Grande Punto 1.3 and successfully done believe or not 6,95,337 kms on odo oem engine with very minimal issues. And those are normal in any car like tyres battery bulbs maybe few sensors when get old

Great car, but Indian customers didn't appreciate the value and quality of Fiat cars, so the brand was forced to discontinue, still FCA introduced Jeep Compass and initial sales were good but now the brand is in desperate situation to launch competitive products to sustain in the uncertain Indian market.
You probably haven't heard a VW diesel. This is so quiet when it's being driven, come to India and drive a few VWs, you'll know what a loud diesel sounds like
It’s a bit noisy in cold start. Once on the run when the engine is warmed up it becomes quieter. I agree with BR Arvind on the clatter VW diesel makes.
