I am so glad Bohm took Krishnamurti to task on his use of the word meditation. K clearly meant the state of meditation and not the so called practice of it.
In India there are two words for it. Dharana and Dhyan. One for the practice and one for the state. Well you can argue the usefulness of pratices but its still useful to make the distinction
In this conversation, there was an absence of a clear subject. Perhaps because it is a part of a whole video. The only part that is saved is that meditation comes invited : when it happens, we are it. Thanks for the video.
The word itself has in Reality no meaning whatsoever on its own= simply a sound...a hollow sound. What a word points 2 = the actuall creation or vision...even brought in a denser layer...called manifestation. We throw often around with hollow words...without really having a glue of its orign meaning and 2 inquire into is a sort of contemplation...focusing= meditation.❤
Of the many ways in defining what meditation is, perhaps it can be perceived as the act of allowing the brain to descend from the gamma and beta frequencies (awake and fully alert) down to low alpha frequencies and just before theta frequencies are reached (where we essentially fall asleep) - finding that "sweet spot" at about 8 Hz (the Earth's primary Schumann Resonance is 7.83 Hz) where one can gain access to the subconscious and even unconscious realms of mind.
It is not easy to put it in words because obviously the word is not that. But the brain must to be cleaned up from conditioning, which is not easy at all. When all conditioning is out, then automatically the state of so called meditation comes. But to clean up the brain means to see one self as one is withou judgement. Just to watch in relationship with all. Without follow a goal.
As I see it, you live it. It is a state of being, not a goal that you can work towards. What I get from his words is that if you are performing actions to accomplish the goal of mediation your focus on self prevents the actual practice. It is self centered. No matter what you do from that point is for your goal. I believe the definition of meditation he is referring to is to be in alignment with the of the flow of everything. That's the best way I can put it in words anyway. To do that it can't be self centered. You have to look outside yourself and live in a way that is right. What is right depends on what is needed. That is what you do.
Without Boham this would’ve not clear. Boham being vortex and getting much as possible from K. Discourses between k and Boham are real jewels 💎

This is my last video to watch j k, I lost to his teaching, I hope someone do get his teachings and become consciousness.
I'd suggest not to give up m8, trust yourself! But perhaps you just need a pause and you'll realize things when least expected... best wishes :)

If meditation is uninvited then how am I supposed to enter that state?

It's a state of being yes. A state of being and not knowing... also not knowing that you are being.
When the "I" is not, when there is no ego to want something (avidity).
Emptying the mind there is direct communication with the universal mind being intelligence.
