This red may be just a shade too bright for this Cad.

Yes. It is a shade, or 15, too bright. Cadillac always had tasteful shades of colours, nothing like this hideous mess.

The Eldoradoes / coupe devilles may have come in red but it wasn't this red

To be sure, this Fltwd is in sound condition. However, there are some serious faults from an authenticity point-of-view. The whitewall tires are incorrect because the whitewall is too wide for '64. The seats have been re-done... but NOT correctly or authentically. And finally, the paint color is HIDEOUS! It surely is NOT an authentic Cad color for '64. Oh, the exhaust is also incorrect.... and too noisy, for sure. People simply do not do their "homework"... such as seen in the showroom brochure that's in the trunk of this car.

I agree. Obviously the detailers (I can't really call them restorers) didn't know what they were doing. Who paints an original, numbers matching, engine anything but the original Cadillac blue? I would definitely check those numbers myself because whoever touched this car last probably didn't even know where to look.

one look at this video and i knew immediately that the colour of this car was a fire sale paint job...did u notice the same colour of an older 1940's model to the upper left of the screen in the same hideous red that was used on this Fleetwood? its embarrassing that Gateway is trying to pass this off as ORIGINAL paint and yes the white walls were never used on a 1964 Cadillac the new white walls of this mid 60's era were fine lined white walls and sometimes doubled lined but never the wide white walls from the 1950's. these ppl must not be aware of the original colour book for paint swatches that will show the exact colour for a particular make and model car of any year. Cadillace for years used a red called SUNRISE Red Metallic it was a incredible red and for those that don't know painting a car red metallic is the most expensive colour one can choose due to the process of making red metallic Gateway is most likely gonna take a huge hit on this car's selling price

Would have looked far better with subdued authentic colours.

WHAT A CAR THIS IS!!! NOW THIS IS WHAT AN AMERICAN BUILT CAR FOR TODAY OUGHT TO LOOK LIKE. EVEN IF IT WERE BUILT MORE COMPACT JUST SO LONG AS IT KEEPS THIS LOOK BUILT OF LIGHT WEIGHT ALL REYNOLDS ALUMINUM IF IT MUST BE SO LONG AS IT IS A METAL MATERIAL AND NOT THAT CHEAP PLASTIC STUFF WHATEVER MATERIAL TODAYS CARS ARE MADE FROM. BUT SOMETHING OF SUBSTANCE IF MUST BE. NO AMERICAN BUILT AUTO SHOULD LOOK SOUND LIKE SOME JAPANESE CHINESE KOREAN BRITISH GERMAN ASSEMBLED CAR. WHICH I THINK OF AND CALL NO MORE THAN A "SKATEBOARD WITH A WINDUP GEAR MOTOR" I MAY NOT SPELL IT RIGHT OR SAY IT RIGHT BUT I THINK YOU KNOWED WHAT I MEAN. I BELIEVE A HOME BUILT RIDE MADE LIKE THIS RIDE WILL SELL SO FAST TODAY THAT NOT ONE WILL LAST ON THE SHELF FROM DAY AFTER DAY.

Why the hideous wide whites and the incorrect color? Probably sold to an overseas buyer who didn’t know or care! The artificial red dash and seat piping is just wrong!
