Talk to Gruber Motors. They diagnose & repair Tesla batteries just like yours for a fraction of the Tesla replacement cost.

The battery works again. I just don’t trust that it was a real issue. I think it was a bug or teslas new update sent a false error because it’s been a few weeks and still no error message again

@@The-life-of-z You are one of the smart ones. But whoever buys your car is completely screwed. It will fail because that's what old batteries do, they fail. 10 years is the expected life. Is that just me saying it? No, Franz, the Chief Designer for Tesla, literally said on video that they last 10 years to Jay Leno on Leno Garage. If you don't believe him, there is no hope for you.

This right here is one of the many reason after I decided to buy a Tesla that I would tell people that "If I spend 5 figures on a car, I had better be the one that puts the comma in the odometer field..." I've bought far too many used cars and have spent gobs of money trying to keep them running... My next car will have a warranty, plain and simple. Interesting story: I rented a Y from a car rental company and the low voltage system decided to flick off overnight, causing me to have it and I being towed back to the rental location. Strangest thing is, they tell me later in the day that the car decided to behave itself again... It's weird...

Amazing that comments claim this is an "old" car. I drive a 2005 Toyota Hilux and it's fine. Other than a house, a car is the next most expensive item most people will purchase. How many people would be happy with having their house fall down after 10 years while they're asleep? We need to look beyond the current disposable society's attitude if our poor planet has even the slightest hope of surviving.

    • @The-life-of-z

Very sad that this is thought to be “old” I used to drive a 2006 Subaru before that and a 2003 350z before that and a 1997 jeep wrangler before that. The wrangler was definitely “old”
I wish more people had a better understanding that our planet isn’t a infinite source of supplies

Buy a used Tesla, and the greedy bastards at Tesla service will feast on your carcass after sending you some over the air update failures. Want to keep your money for yourself? Buy a Toyota with a gas engine and no hybrid system.
