  • Own up time, I made a complete balls up of this original build and body mounting and I used the wrong shocks. I think I have fixed it after lots of faff and swearing. What have I done? Well watch the video and find out :)
    Stay safe, T.

I have to side with Andrew on the interiors ) its worth the effort especially when you catch glimpses on film and it sells the realism. You seem to have acquired my LC70 driver! He's fired when he crawls home! Rig is looking great Tez, keep up the good work

The Carisma shocks are brilliant, if you want perfect I would say buy a RC4WD Gelande 2 that one is the right wheelbase. You could of still have had clear windows, just build a fake tool chest to cover the hoops. When I used the SXC10 chassis on my D90, I did not cut no where as near as much of the floor out. Make side plates that goes up to the body side and you will have a lower place for electrics or just screw plastic plate on the side vertical on the chassis rails that's how my ESC is fitted. Interiors are a pain and I do not do many, also too much lights I hate all the wires in the way.

Yes the shocks feel really nice. I am looking forward to running it for the first time. 💪

Excellent! A minimal interior is absolutely fine. I have a dash/seat/driver in my Gen8. Looks fine filming and photos. I also tend to like tinted windows as they photograph better IMHO...
I did a bit of a hack to my Carisma. I fitted a set of rochobby axles from the 1/6 jeep. Instant gear reduction and an improvement in steering angle. Inexpensive on Amazon and fully assembled. I did have to fit different drive shafts also as the end on the Carisma shafts didnt play well with the rochobby axles.

I had a similar problem with the Xtra Speed D90 chassis
This body is too high and looks terrible (Like a monster truck or a toy)
I found the solution but not too much flex now. But is ok, I'm building this one like an scale defender and the flex what I have now is very similar to the 1:1 model.
    . For performance I have the TRX4

I have the same body on the way, Not sure what i'm going to use for a chassis yet, What size tires are you using.

Congratulations. Mmmm good question. I no longer have the truck. However the wheels and tyres were 1.55 as they seem to look the best scale wise. Cannot remember the specific tyre measurements though sorry.
