- RC Car DEFENDER D90 Build Painted Custom Body Mods & Fitting Accessories MN99S Defender 1/12 Scale, I Had to build this to go with my TRAXXAS TRX-4 CUSTOM PAINTED EASTNOR GREEN Defender D110 from a Clear Body with Scale Accessories.

Other parts used were Upgraded old style Snorkel - Driver "The Rock figure" not so classic looking ha ha - Old style rear number plate with rear light guards, body coloured mud flares, hood vents painted wheels detailing.

Just ordered the RTR version of this truck and looking forward to it, I am putting my own electronics in it to so she drives like hobby grade. And I personally like the BLACK WPL wheels and smaller tires, it's an awesome build for sure colors are great

Just as I wanted to do mine, looks great.
I have to figure out what paint I will use.
I would go for the smaller wheels and paint them white too.
You could also go for bigger wheels but you need a adapter for those mn86 wheels, I ordered mine and didn’t know.

Thanks very much the paint is EASTNOR GREEN spray paint bought of a random seller on ebay a while ago and the white is a standard white primer from the local car garage cheers for checking it out
You should try a set of wpl v4 tires. They’re much more scale

Great video thanks. did you use two coats or just one? Have tried to do the same but that paint hasn't resulted in a good finish.
ahh shame, For the green I use 1 good coat of paint sometimes 2 if i missed corners or cracks the rest is exactly the same as in the video with sanding the body then white primer then top green coat and sometimes a flat clear coat on top of the top coat if not wanting gloss finish etc
can you sand it again then respray it
@@RCAdventurer thanks! yes sanded then used primer but same result! have decided have to go with the distressed (sanded) look! weirdly the bonnet came out beautifully but the body just came up poorly….

You should invest in a quality airbrush, those rattle cans leave a poor finish. Not a bad 10 footer tho.
Yes my mate keeps telling me the same its just habit i guess grab a can and go for it haha, airbrush is the way forward especially for details etc and weathering as he does army models always with airbrush, thanks for the heads up much appreciated my friend😎

Is the snorkel hard plastic or rubber? That's a neat accessory and way better than what comes with the D90. You can paint the headlight reflectors silver or 'chrome' for better output, plus they look more realistic when they are off. Now for some critiques: your driver is too small...unless he is a 7 or 8 year old child of course 😄Adult figures should be about 6 inches tall according to 1/12 scale. Too bad you cut him off at the waist and may never know his true height, lol. I think the seats are too small so therein lies part of the fault.
There's no colours hard plastic bought off eBay and to be honest I just try to find any driver I can from my son's toys draw that's how I got that and he let me chip up "the rock" haha finding drivers is always a pain my least favourite bit but all rc cars need driver imo cheers 😁😁😁😁😁

no not really there is nothing to cut away unfortunately under the seat so much easier to chop the legs off to be honest

Hello. Where did you got this "driver" figure?
I took it from my sons toy box its obvs the Rock but have no idea where it was from just pure luck it fitted and he let me use it haha I'm sure of you search all ROCK figures it will be available online somewhere sorry cant help with where it was from thanks.
