But I was excited though. I love the design of this bike, and the sound. I always call it a subtle aggressiveness (unlike, say, Kawasaki H2). I will probably never own one (nor realistically need one), so I can't comment about the performance, but hopefully I'll get the opportunity to ride it someday.

It´s your bike but I prefer the look of the S1000RR. The M1000R looks too much like a GP Bike. But every taste is different. I liked the looks of the previouse M version though. Anyways, any S/M1000RR is one hell of a bike. Congrats, ride safe💪

@MotoJitsu®I know exactly the feeling you got, when you take home a brand new bike. I had that same great feeling when I picked up my brand new Kawa Ninja 1000 2018. Even though it was not as nice as an M1000RR haha, It was my first brand new vehicle that I ever bought so the feeling was awesome that day when I took the bike home and it was like the first great spring day we had in Sweden that year around may -18
Two months after that in July -18 I took my bike and rode it from Stockholm, Sweden, all the way down to northern Italy, the roads in Bergamo was sick. Now that will be one of my more prominent memories on my deathbed haha. I have since then made that trip 3 times in total. I advise anyone with a motorcycle to travel to northern Italy, and ride around there and also Austria and Switzerland, such amazing places and because of the great motorcycle roads and views/scenery they have a very strong bike culture in those alp parts of the earlier named countries.

$45000 is a lot of money , but here in Australia lots of people pay $60000 plus for double cab pick up trucks.
If you know what it means to ride a fast top of the engineering tree motorcycle , $45000 is a bargain against those four wheel trash cans.
