Great chat and what a pleasant surprise to hear Robert is an ATC! I am a retired ATC Enroute controller in Australia and used to work the Sydney-Melbourne route. No phones or smart watches in the centre either. And it was a fellow ATC who got me into watches-the overtime helped pay for them! Cheers
Great interview with Robert. I am looking forward to many more like this with different people. I enjoy learning about their professions and their watch journey.
Robert, I worked Mountain Home Approach for about 5yrs (2015-2020) so depending on how long you've worked at ZLC there is a chance we've already spoken! Watching this video brings me back to hearing "30/31" countless times and the amazing work you all did every day. This was a pleasant surprise for me and I thoroughly enjoyed the video. Take care guys! PA
That's awesome! I'm still at ZLC, just in a different area. I work closely with Area D that contains sector 30/31. Great work back then and thanks for your service🤜🏻🤛🏻
@@SaltyWatchCollector Small world, huh? Very cool that this hobby and channel could connect us like this. I’m currently working up in the ramp tower at Seattle Tacoma Int’l Airport so if you ever fly through there know you’re in good hands 😉 Cheers, fellas
Webb C. Ball kept the trains from crashing into each other and Rob keeps the planes from crashing into each other! I believe Webb C. Ball recalled the watches of the Trainmasters every 2 weeks to make sure they did not deviate more than 10-15 seconds. Rob is "On the BALL"!
Nice! I saw the thumbnail and thought "sheesh more played out Rolex content" but pleasantly surprised off-the-bat with the vintage Omega and unique Seiko
I swear, the moment I saw the title, a conversation with ATC and I immediately thought "too close for missiles, switching to guns" :D . Beautiful Omega and very adventurous choice of Seiko :) Happy New Year both!
Great conversation and great monster! I shouldn't love it but I just cant help it, that dial is fantastic!
Great discussion guys. Enjoyed Robert sharing some of his occupational stories and how it connects to the hobby. Looking forward to this series Bruce!

Where is the gmt master?
It's one of Robert's watches, and he mentions it in the video
My question also exactly 😂
Clicked on the video because of the thumbnail 😊
Two excellent gentlemen!!!
Coming from a true gentleman I'll take the compliment
I don't know, I may be more peasantry or jestry than gentry 😂
