My chameleon is one of those exceptions where he LOVES to be held and out of his cage he’s a veiled and has a 24 x 24 x 48 so I know his cage is big enough and doesn’t want to get out cause he doesn’t like it but there are some days where he does not like being held and refuses it and others where he gets mad at me until I get him out for a little bit
I can’t do it either, My go to is human names. We have two juvenile crested geckos and left the naming up to my 8 year old. Now we have Godzilla and King Kong.

I've read that veiled chameleons can grow up to 18 inches long. Is this unlikely or maybe just for certain types? I don't know all that much about them.
I have a veiled chameleon, she's female. I have a handheld pump mister so I have to mist it all the time usually, but I'm trying to upgrade everything.
x. toxic_snow keep in mind that veiled chameleons need high humidity at night, but very low humidity in the day!! So misting during the day can lead to respiratory infections! I aim for 30-35% humidity in the day and 50-60% at night! :)

I just got a leopard gecko, I never see her drink so is there any way to know she’s drinking? Does she know where her water bowl is or do I need to like put her on it so she’ll know? I don’t want her to be dehydrated.
Katelyn Frazier many reptiles don’t drink much, a lot of them get most of the water they need from their food. I’ve had my leopard gecko for over a year and I’ve never once seen her drink. She’ll be able to find her water bowl no problem, they just don’t tend to use them much
He’s such a beautiful chameleon! Do you plan on upgrading him to a bigger cage like your other chameleon? Also I thank you should stick to naming him tangled themed names!!!
Alexis Yates I might! I have an empty 2x2x4 screen cage which I thought about setting up for him, but I’m not entirely sure yet. He’s so tiny that he might have a hard time hunting in such a big cage. But it’s possibly that I might at some point! But for now he’ll be staying in this cage for a bit :)

Chameleons are HIGHLY advanced animals that require intense and very specific care. I don’t mean to be rude, but if someone who doesn’t know anything about their care gets one for Christmas it will most likely die. I did years of research before getting my first chameleon, and even then I still didn’t know everything. Not only is their care highly advanced, chameleons can be very aggressive/defensive animals. NOT ideal for a young kid because they have EXTREMELY powerful jaws, and will bite every chance they get. If it’s his dream pet, he’s better off waiting to get one when he’s older and fully prepared
Since you have pascal from tangled which is from a Disney movie, I feel like you should name him Rango. Also after a movie. I think that’s Pixar but... his patterns kinda remind me of Rango. Lol. Definitely comment what you do decide to name him please because I would love to know

This may sound silly but when I think of chameleons I think of fingers..because to me they don't have hands..just fingers..so I would name him Fanguhs..lol..(fang-guhs)..thats my southern accent showing. He's a cutie. Keep us updated!
