This ride seriously hurt my legs- I legitimately felt like I had injured my knee for about two hours afterward, because of all the force that thing would put on you. As a sit-down coaster it's not overly exciting or unique and all the coaster elements feel kind of 'off', but at least it's not inflicting pain anymore lol
*facepalm* Here is a complete recap of what they did. ---------------------------------------------------------------- They changed the trains from stand-up trains to floorless sit-down trains They repainted the track, supports, and station They replaced the drive tires They added magnetic brakes They changed the name They re-themed the plaza They added special effects ------------------------------------------------------------------ Tell me, where in there did that list say they demolished the coaster?
Mantis hurt my head more than my legs. It was just rough overall. To me, Rougarou is much smoother, but the second half after the block brake is still a little rough.
I rode the mantis with my cousin. It was one of the best coasters in the park. The only problem was: the next day we were so sore
To me, it's not. That ride was considered painful. Thank gosh it's finally shut down to be transformed into Rougarou for next season!
Rougarou: hey bro can i copy your homework
Mantis: yeah sure bro just make sure the teacher doesn't notice
As Rougarou, it will now be known as the ride that you only go on because it is close to Millennium Force
This ride had to have one of the quietest chain lifts but have some of the loudest rails.
Halon Poisoning B&Ms typically have quiet lifts and that deep and i think amazing sound of the trains flying around the track
I got on this Saturday at night I screamed so loud my cousins laughed at me and my fingers and legs were tingly when I got off.

I never had issues like that riding this or any standup coaster. I guess it depends on how you ride them.
Goodbye Mantis, hello Rougarou!
That's what I commented on Jame C's Mantis POV.
***** Your comment is a disappointment

Spencer Harman I did not know they added effects.
Oh, sorry. I just didn't comprehend the way you said it. I want you honest opinion on why you aren't satisfied with this transformation.
love this ride.
Stand up to dos fears on MANTIS!!
Im going to ride this next time
My god there is video proof that Mantis once dispatched without stacking
I wrote it twice and it gave me a headache so never again
Yeah, as Mantis, it was kind of rough. It still kind of is as Rougarou, but I think it's much better.
Mantis hurt my legs the few times I rode it. Rougarou put my head back a few times, but at least this ride isn't painful.

Mantis really hurt, but now it's Rougarou!
Rougarou is such a headbanger, wish I could have tried Mantis.
Snoopyhowl Gaming Mantis was worse. Rougarou is a little smoother and better in my opinion.
its littarly the same ride they just changed the trains and repanted the track thats it
Same!
I went in 2013 and was an inch too short to ride Mantis then, I have heard it wasn’t very good but it still would have nice to know for myself.
B&M did it again
it rougarou now
I'm glad it closed
