Not to mention pirellis in the front and Bridgestone in the back lol. And the bridgestones were over 10 years old. Fail.

Paul Dolden I wouldn't bother with Reglaze, there's allot better out there, it's just I have loads of the stuff!
My two bucket method is leave the hose pipe filling the bucket, wash a bit, then clean off mit in clean water in the bucket, tip it out then hose back in, fresh water every rinse of the mit before putting back in soapy bucket. :D
***** Not a bad idea that although the fins on the grit guards are designed to prevent any dirt from swirling around but hey, whatever floats ya... bucket!

mo khan I do want to do a multi spoke wheel cleaning one where various tools (including the wheel wooly) would be used. Just need to find the right set of rims!

I usually go with medium and then add some focus blur around the edges in FCPX to make it 'pop out' a little if that makes sense.

For dying techniques is it better to spray detailer onto the car then dry? Or detailer on dry towel then dry.
DoctaMarcos A bit of both is my preference. Mist the towel first for added lubrication (and because a damp towel absorbs water better than a bone dry one) then spray liberally onto the car.

There's these little "breathing holes" at the rear engine cover (visible at 9:23 at the top of the image). How do you block all that foam / soapy water / etc. from going trough those and ending up into the engine bay?

mo khan Autosmart Reglaze, pretty much the same thing. The bottle the concentrate comes in measures out for you so not sure exactly on the dilution ratio, probably somewhere between 1:10 & 1:20.

João Santos It's a drying aid/detail spray used to lubricate the surface of the paintwork to prevent any marring being inflicted by the drying towel, to encapsulate any stray dirt particles left on the surface that could scratch, and to generally give a better quality of finish if the car isn't going to be polished or waxed.

detailing spray would be my guess. Just helps seal it up a little and hopefully make the wax lastlonger

how important is the prefoam part?
mrgl If the car is dirty pretty important, if not then not so much and a good rinse off will suffice.

You didn't seem to agitate the tail lights, emblems etc. this time. Unless it was all done off camera. Great job tho! I really like that colour. Looks like it'd really pop in the sun providing it's not full of swirls and scratches etc.

tolerantobject No. Washing car in sunlight is always bad. Even professionals don't wash their cars when it's sunny.
tolerantobject There are car cleaning companies that wash car under the roof. I see pretty plenty of them. I wouldn't let my car be washed while exposed to sun. Waste of money and once they dry they don't look as clean. Watch some professionals they say exactly the same thing.
You don't want any car cleaning product to dry on car's surface. Unless you are that guy that thinks even dish washing products are ok for cars :P

It's up to you but I prefer to foam cars dry as I find it just slips off if you rinse first.

why do you wash the wheels before the body? I always heard wash from top to bottom and the wheels are at the bottom. doesn't make sense to me
+Taylor Claville It does sound counterintuitive as you should wash from top to bottom but the wheels are generally seen as separate from the bodywork. They're also usually the dirtiest part and so if you cleaned them last you could contaminate the freshly washed paintwork with brake dust and cleaner residue. Also attending to the wheels last might mean shampoo/rinse water has time to dry on the paintwork.

Car Cleaning Guru mostly cause i am so suprised but you only need to watch a couple of videos to understand what your doing lol, but cool keep at it.
Using a power washer on a Ferrari? I would never use soap or water on that finish. Dri Wash it once and then use a duster when it needs it. There is NO need to use water to clean it. If it was a monster truck covered with mud, yes. What a shame.
P S Also air drying with leaf blower is preferred to a cloth.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with pressure washing a supercar provided a little common sense is employed.
i wouldn't drive too fast if i were you if your worried about pressure washer, them bugs hit your car far quicker and that pressure washer aint got the power to wash them off!
Look at the mud on the spilter at 10:02 - Poor attention to detail.
It's not mud it's synthetic wash mitt fibres, which considering I didn't charge a penny I don't think is that much of a big deal.

The 360 really isn't a shape that has aged well.....
+Princess Peach I love the shape still today. I could never stop myself from collecting one. There's nothing in the modern Ferrari stable that appeals to me more. I would have to cross over into Lamborghini before getting anything else after the Modena.
