Let me understand where we are at with this. Both the FBI and the NYC DOI have been conducting investigations since last year and neither Chief has been charged with any crime.
Seems a bit premature that this information has been released to the press at this point. I wonder what the purpose of that is?

If the FBI has sufficient cause, it's perfectly justifiable to raid their homes and offices. However, since someone, presumably connected to City Hall, chose to leak this story, it would be fair to reveal whether or not incriminating evidence was found. And if making that determination required a couple of days, then sit on the story about the raid.
After all, MOST of the media outlets are sitting on other information such as, the name of the retired firefighter Henry J. Santiago, J., who has asserted that he made payments of $97,000 to each chief. They also failed to mention that both Chiefs were promoted and brought in to the Bureau of Fire Prevention in order to replace Chiefs that had been demoted by Fire Commissioner Kavanagh and removed from that bureau.
According to the NY Times, one such Chief that was removed and demoted TWO ranks, Chief Joseph Jardin, is party to a *lawsuit that asserts that he was retaliated against for failing to acquiesce to "corruption in favor of major real estate developers."*
The lawsuit claims that a list of projects created under former Mayor Bill de Blasio in an effort to cut red tape and fast-rack inspections to aide small businesses had instead been used to help “friends” of City Hall under Mr. Adams, who promoted Ms. Kavanagh to commissioner last year. “These ‘friends’ were prominent and influential real estate developers,” the lawsuit says.
Chief Jardin was interviewed by F.B.I. agents last spring about the Turkish Consulate project that Mr. Adams supported as a mayoral candidate in the summer of 2021. Mr. Adams later contacted the then fire commissioner ,Daniel Nigro, on behalf of the consulate officials, who wanted the department to sign off on the consulate project in time for a September 2021 visit by the Turkish president.
Sounds to me like there might be a little bit more to this story....

I’ve noticed so many people defaulting to assuming that it’s some weird conspiracy to silence and censor them politically or some deep state nonsense like that, when what’s much more likely is that the private corporation TH-cam is saving money by cutting content moderation staff and employing an AI content moderator that is much more aggressive and lacks the nuance previous approaches did
