Lore: Lisa left the Sumeru Academia because of a cursed book, which left her with few years to live. So, she left the academia and became a librarian in mondstadt to live her last years in a quiet place
She was cursed, but upon seeing the academics being obsessed with knowledge, she went "nah uh, I don't want this kind of thing", so she went to Mondstadt.
Honestly at first I thought the quest is not really that interesting but after looking back through the story, making observations and watching this video, I realize that this short Prologue actually gives us a lot of informations about visions and opened us another door to understand how a vision is given/destroyed/deactivated (masterless). I've learned a lot from this one quest. miHoYo's really popping off with the quests, even if its only 1-2 new quest(s) per update or so.
I also like that this quest takes info that could be gathered from various optional sources and puts it in a required quest so that players who missed that info will still receive it. There's a world quest where one of the Sumeru researchers, Alrani, tells us that electro Visions stopped appearing about a year ago and that the Sumeru Academia actually investigated this and came to the conclusion that this was because of the electro archon's will. Such intriguing and important information in an optional side quest that many people may have missed due to either not doing the quest or speeding through the dialogue because they thought a mere side quest is unimportant.
They'll be like "The people we meet will carry on memories of us, and our spirits will live on for eternity through the lives we've touched." just to be fancy with it.
But if the archons give their respective elements out as visions,,,and being an Archon is tied to the Gnosis,,,,,,this means that eventually NO new visions will be handed out because of the Tsaristas goal to have all the Gnosis’s for herself-
the story implies tsaritsa is planning something with the Gnosis, probably a giant battle machine out of Gnosis I guess? so that they have the power against celestia
Rather than say have for herself, I think the setting is similar to no game no life. In which, only by gathering all the chess pieces can you challenge the creator. Visions are not really good for people, to fulfill your desire you will have to sacrifice something of your own in return. Lisa having her life shorten was a good example.

Lisa does not ignore the topic of the MC using elemental powers without a vision. On the quest we do with her for the first time she bring up the subject. She may have led the academy because she didn’t like the atmosphere or whatever reason but she is still an inquisitive person.
Putting aside the reason she left Sumeru.. I think Lisa already found out something about our ability.. we have talked with her... maybe she find a clue or two during our conversation.. but she refused to tell us because she already know the secret of vision and element..

This is the same woman that said "I would simply need a Vision for this research, don't i?" and had one falling into her lap in her vision story. Still gives me chills, I couldn't understand what she was researching for the Electro archon to grant her a Vision for it.

What I've noticed so far from playing the game is that each vision bearer share a common characteristic to the element they represent, Like for example for Anemo vision holder (excluding venti since he's an archon): They are duty bound. They are bounded by their obligation for example jean as an acting grandmaster, or sucrose to her research it is also the same for kazuha who is obligated to find a master for the masterless vision. And xiao who is bound on vanquishing evil For geo vision holder: they are bound by law and order in this example ningguang, noelle and albedo. Though in albedo's case it's the order of how life is. They are commonly gentle by nature. For pyro vision: a burning spirit and passion like bennet's thurst for adventure, diluc's batmanesque antics, klee's passion for exploration, and yanfei to help people of liyue. And xiangling who is overly passionate about her cooking. Also amber... dont forget about amber... For electro vision: they mostly couldn't express themselves and are often times misunderstood... fischl who has only 4 friends, razor who was raised by wolves, keqing who is a skeptic and straightforward way of speaking where people tend to avoid her. Then there's hydro vision: pure of heart xingqui, barbara, mona and childe. For childe you can see it in his story quest with his brother the innocence and purity of that whole quest. Though childe may be a fatui, his heart may still be pure on the inside. And last but not the least cryo vision holders: they're the ones who always advocates for change. But one thing i can say about her is that even though she's an academic who loves knowledge she isnt even surprised how the traveler is using elements without vision. And there's something weird about lisa according to sucrose's voice lines. Maybe in the future there's a plot revolving around her
the electro vision usually goes to those of strong will. keqing with her stance against the gods, Fischl for her longingness to become her persona, Lisa for her will to live as long as she can while being close to death, razor who is determined to become a wolf, and beidou for her fight against the leviathan haishan
I honestly dont understand why people think that the Archons only give visions to those from theyre nation. The accessory around the vision could honestly simply be something the nation themselves do to identify vision bearers.
Of what accessory you’re talking about? And well yeah I think it’s clear they don’t give them only to people of their nation,chongyun has a Cryo vision and Eula too but they were not born in Snezhnaya

@@corrin-1976 the frame around the vision itself. it has its own unique design from each region. Mondstadt has wing like frame, Liyue has square frame, Inazuma has 3 circles around it and lastly Snezhnaya has pointy-arrow like frame.
Look at the description of the travellers skill and burst for each element. It tells you what the traveller and Paimon observed to reproduce it so it’s not immediately related to the archons
I think paimon is a part of a constellation or an actual constelation because if anyone hasnt noticed yet, there are characters in the game with constellations that represents a creature or a person. I think its possible that she belong to the lattet but descended in order to fulfil a role. I also think that she doesnt have anyone to make her their constellation thus making her *alive*

Imagine if all this time, the act of receiving a gift and resonating with the statue of the seven is actually the MC unknowingly taking a bit of power directly from the gnosis.
I think this also answers the fact that we haven't been getting anymore electro users because, well Baal stopped giving visions for quite some time, I feel like this is one way of saying why we haven't gotten a new electro unit for quite a while.
@@givemeaniceusername5126 Unless they decide to give the excuse that, since the dendro archon is the youngest of the seven, they're being indecisive about who qualifies for their Visions or something. But even then, the dendro archon has had a few hundred years to figure it out.
My theory is that Paimon is either like a god depraved from it's power or a god that is pretty much just a child, growing up and gaining power through it's journey. Pretty much like the MC, from the start, we can see that the twin is very much not a normal human(from their lifespan, to their own power, to both of them going toe to toe to a random god and not being surprised by a god but by the random ass attack they got). Reason why I think Paimon is a child god is the same as when venti was reminiscing his story where when he is still just a mere wind spirit?(or whisper of the wind, I dunno I forgot). If paimon is still a child, then either she came from celestia or is a celestia. now if she is a God depraved of power, then she is either many of others that zhongli killed or is a surviving god on the archon war. Either way, Paimon still cute as emergency food. Knowing mihoyo, they will f*cking make us cry sooner or later(Ah, shit I wish diluc would survive this game, I hate seeing a red haired bad ass die again)
When Kazuha asks how we learned to control the elements, there's actually two options. One of which is, as you mentioned, that Paimon taught us. The other is that we touch the Statues of the Seven.

I can give you all some information about what's happening in genshin ofcourse it won't spoil anything for the story that is The Cryo archon and our sibling have the same motive, lisa knows what's happening and by observing what kazuha told us baal might have the same motives aswell, liyue and monstad were just the calm before the storm. This might've given you a clue about what's happening
It's very interesting that the Gods do serve their own ideals over the people of their nation. Could it be that they only appear to be "good" to their people? Like venti does it for his friend, zhongli does it for guizhong,, and both grow to care for their people, that's why they appear as "good" whereas Baal doesn't seem to have a reason to and is focused on chasing this "eternity", that's why she's misunderstood and the tsaritsa is well focused on her rebellion against celestia,, is that why they're seen as "uncaring" to their people ? Idk, after all they are archons, celestia only meant for them to rule each of the seven nation but were not obligated to serve them unless they have a reason to do so.
There's an implication that the Original 7 cared for humans. There's some dialogue written that they agreed amongst themselves that a standard for an archon would be to have a love for humans. There's also more implication that the new archons are human based (allogene) gods. It's kind of sad - Morax is a dragon, and Barbatos is a wind elemental, but both of them care more for humans than the would be human gods.
@MaxMikescrool1 To be fair, putting yourself and your ideals above others is a pretty common trait in humans. Maybe dragons and wind spirits are better at caring for inferior species because they're more used to it, or maybe Baal is just not as experienced as the archons we've met and is doubting herself. Or it could be that the newer archons just aren't as good as the original seven. There's no way to know for sure.
@@fearcrumpets1315 Well we already have the oceanid species turning their backs on the new Hydro Archon for having not so agreeable ideals, apparently. This is revealed in that whole Rhodeia's Rage event where the water of Monstadt turned bitter before the traveler solved it. They also kinda hinted that the Hydro Archon was using the waters to spy on people.

That's not Dumb tho, her name 'Paimon, literally referring to King Paimon of Ars Goetia , The Lesser Keys of Solomon, being among 72 Demons (along with Morax, Barbatos, Decarabia and Baal) , she also have the same emblem of the Unknown God on her cape (Albedo also has it on his neck) , and her cape also resembles Dains.
I'll list down a few things that make me really sus of Paimon. No concrete evidence, just really suspicious stuff: - The game menu is called a Paimon menu - There is an achievement that you can get by playing around the dialogue volume slider, it is called "You could hear Paimon all along, could you?". Is this supposed to imply that Paimon knows what is happening even when the game is paused? - In the video, it said that Paimon might already know about the archons' abilities. We know of another character who also has a Galaxy cape that narrates all of the abilities of characters that come out, Dainsleif. - Paimon refers to herself in third person. In japanese dub, she refers to herself as 'Oira' which in english is the plural of 'I'. There are two versions of Paimon you can find in your mail. - When you pause the game (open Paimon menu ), Paimon looks directly at you. No, not your character in the game, but at your screen. - and during the quest 'Kaeya's Gain' - if the player didn't ask Kaeya for any clues to find the sword, one of the dialogue options read " Uh, actually, I tapped into other sources for help... " ... when it mentioned other sources, was it referring to google? - In game mails; when it's a character's birthday, that character sends you a mail. When it's your birthday, you get a mail from the Mailing System. When you redeem a code, you receive a mail from the Genshin Impact Operations Team. When there are events or game updates/maintenance, you get a mail from... P.A.I.M.O.N. ?? though maybe I'm just overthinking. maybe these are just jokes that I'm taking too seriously.
Kinda justifies dain's side of the "gods" argument which makes one wonder What justification did the "Gods" have for the destruction of khaenri'ah? And even then despite having some situations it doesn't really help with vision acquisition credentials
what if "having a special role in destiny" was the main condition for getting a vision. Dainsleif once asked: which is more important between the holder of the vision and the common people to the gods?
The Abyss sibling believes that neither vision bearers nor ordinary people are important to the gods. I don't know if that's the correct answer, but I think there's a good chance it could be since they've already completed their journey through Teyvat and have chosen to rebel against the gods of Celestia.
Paimon is the manifestation of our lost power. She talks for us and she makes decisions for us. Traveler has an idol animation of manifesting stars in their hands and paimon literally vanishes into stars. So similar power connection can be made their.
@Sammie, Paimon may have manifested during 500 years gap but nobody knows about it, so it may be still ethereal. It can fly magically. Birds may drown in water because they cannot flap wings their, but paimon can literally fly out of the water. That makes her meeting with travel staged. But hey, that's just a Theory.
I rlly thought that baal's concept of eternity is the said subject to be young or at their prime and never gets old, she just kind of gives off that vibe.

Bruh i wish the traveler could have activated the vision it would be cool if he/she could use electro with a vision while the rest of the elements he/she would just be able to use through his/her normal statue means. @@emilinne well we have a rough idea what it will be like, im curious why they didn't use the pharmacist as a playable character. We already have qiqi. Hes a dendro user. If they did a cool outfit like the strategist in the 3 kingdoms would be awesome. I'd simply just like an easier transforming of the standard player. Its kinda annoying to have to go to the statues n switch types. From anemo to geo, now electric. If I can pull up a screen and switch weapons even while in battle. Should be able to switch elemental types.
Is it possible if paimon actually sent by lumine to MC, but she remove paimon's memories about her so paimon doesn't know anything except teyvat places and some of archon history?

Something else to note about Paimon: the design on her sleeves and boots is the same as the ornaments at the base of the fully restored Statues of the Seven, the top of the Skyforst Nail (the floating pillar above Dragonspine), and on some of the smaller pillars seen in the title screen, which many assume to be Celestia.
Hey fellow ! Great video. I was thinking about Paimon when you mentioned her. Look at her cape, there are stars drawn on it. Furthermore, she can fly and she literally revive us when we (all the party members) die. I strongly believe she's from Celestia, or from somewhere in the sky (maybe she's linked with the sudden and mysterious attack that came from the skies, quoted in the encrypted message of the ruin guards on Dragonspine). I wonder about her status too. Why is she a chibi ? Does it mean she's a fallen entity ? From Celestia ? It could explain some lines like : she knows Teyvat and she wants to be our guide to take a revenge on what makes her in her current state. One more question : why Zhongly and Venti didn't talk about her ? They both are very old Archon. They probably know, or at least heard about Paimon or her pairs of she has. However it can be. I have a theory on why baal doesnt give more visions(its probably being paranoid or something) If i remember correctly Lisa said that visions grants great power for those who have it but as spider man film said with great power comes greats responsibilities(sorry for this random thing) in this case Lisa think that this visions has a big price to be paid and when you save mondstadt cuz of dvalin you and venti speaks about you being the 5 wind or something like that but you refuse and he tells that those that died having an vision becomes semi-gods themselfs but celestia also have their owns rules whose archons needed to obey as seen on the second part of the zhongli mission where you seal again azdaha,we says he made a contract in celestia to never speak about khanri'ah but with who? So my guess why baal declare the vision hunt decree was to protect her people from this "price" and for the storm she is doing i think is not meant for the people but its a barrier to put celestia away on that island... while we know archons grant powers in the form of vision, we also know that they are granted archons by higher beings from celestia (aside from having to fight wars to win it :p), which means there are higher things at play when it comes to vision power and subsequently its higher form originated in celestia. and i suspect this higher beings are also a factor in the khaenri'ah cataclysm event.
My own understanding about the Lisa thing is in her lore, and her constellation, Tempus Fugit. She kind of gave up on pursuing knowledge after being fed up with her time in Sumeru. Mona has some interesting comments about her too, like Tempus Fugit means that time is limited, and more knowledge comes at the cost of more of your time (the sand falling down the hourglass). Lisa decided to stop the sand from falling by becoming way more passive, putting the hourglass on the side (She even refused to become a captain in the knights of Favonius even after being asked multiple times). So she doesn't need to try to understand everything about the anomaly that we are.
So far what I understood is a archon can give you a vision for any reason whether it is bad or good, visions burn out when it's owner dies and the vision becomes masterless but the vision can be reawaken if that archon chooses to give that vision to you. 1 thing about it that I don't know is can a masterless vision need to be from the same archon or can it be reawaken from a different archon. For the Paimon thing my sister just thinks she's the nameless god.
Lisa doesn't ask traveler about their vision because in manga she have seen someone with small power of archons if you want to know look it in manga on mihoyo's website if i am wrong please let me know thanks

Hey! I just wanted to share some small detail I noticed in Genshin impact. Maybe you’ve already noticed it or it’s been said but here it is: if you look at the character menu and look at their vision in the top left corner you will see it has their vision, the design of the vision depends what nation you’re from. Mondstatd has something like wings. Liyue is like the geo elements symbol. Inazuma’s design has 3 circles at the top of the vision.

Question: In the story "We will be Reunited" , The abyss sibling is looking for the first field tiller's core and harnessing some new but dark and malicious elemental energy, Does this mean that the abyss sibling wants to create a deus ex machina (mechanical god)?
I believe the Vision wielder is chosen not by physical strength but by strength of character and how it resonates with the respective Archon's ideals. For Anemo characters, people have noticed that they all currently have a theme of separation and being freedom. Jean and her parents divorce. Xiao and his lost of comrades. (we know his vision is fake but it's clear the Devs picked one matching his theme) Sucrose and the lost of her Childhood friends. Also, Barbara acquired her vision from her overwhelming compassion and kindness. Bennett got his for his unending display of passion inspite of his bad luck. Xinyan and her passion for Rock in a land that initially resisted it. The other elements are tricky to place but they clearly have a pattern of a theme among theme.
Xiao's Vision is real, though. His "Vision" story reads: "Xiao no longer remembers the moment he received his Vision. To humans, this would be an unforgettable event. But for him, this was just the beginning of his endless battle." This confirms that he indeed has a real Vision.
I would not know how to well explain it but Cryo visions bearers… idk they all seem to have something in common Eula,Qiqi,Chongyun,Kaeya,Diona… (Etc) they’re all people that in the past were happy but now their situation isn’t much…uh comfortable ? Like for Eula I don’t need to say why,Qiqi is a zombie,Diona is sad bcs her father and the winery,Kaeya with Diluc and all…mine was just a stupid improvisation tho so I guess it’s normal if it’s not really like that ,it was the first thing I thought xD Altough if the cryo archon’ll reveal to be the archon of past or decadence that could be true lol
@@corrin-1976 there seems to be a theme of loneliness for cryo vision bearers. Kaeya got his when he lost his adoptive father and fought Diluc, Eula when leaving her clan, Qiqi got hers in her dying moments, Ganyu when leaving for the human world, and Diona while taking care of her drunk father. I feel like it supports the theory that the cryo archon is the God of love since she comes to people in their loneliest moments.

I see you are still hard on Zhongli. Though people pointed that Zhongli had a contract to take care of Guizhong's people. It's likely that it was a case of conflicting contracts, ones not obvious at the moment they were made. A likely drawback at his ideal due to his longevity.
I found it interesting that kazuha says that we smell of the stars because albedo said we carry the aura of the stars. Honestly it doesn't shock me very much that paimon smell of the stars as well, as she leaves a trail of stars behind her while floating. However, it is curious that Kazuha knows how stars smell. For Paimon, during a loading screen, there was written something about fairies, i don't recall exactly what it said (plus my game is not in English) but it reminded me of Paimon. Also it seems curious that nobody in Teyvat knows what Paimon is but nobody seems shocked to see a floating child dressed in clothes that match none of the nations
1:52 I'm pretty sure when the masterless vision was burning was just a refrence because it said "I shall not let his hope burn so brightly" or something like that. Meaning it was just probably not real fire.
1:53 This is mistaken by lots of people... Rewatch that video, around 0:28, when Kazuha sits next to his friend, you'll notice he did wear the cloth on his right hand, even before his friend died, so it was wrong...
I theorize that the vision didn't burn with such a ferocity because its' master had died. But that it reacted, coincidentally at the time kazuha made his fervent wish that his friends vision not rest with 'A cold dead god.' It instead burned him, and Kazuha carried that vision elsewhere seeing if it could or would react to another wielder. It already had. And someone who was close at hand when his friend was killed. So someone in inazuma. The running theme of Inzauma is the vision hunt decree and how removing someones vision damages them.. removes their passion. Her face goes from impassioned and violent action to a fallen stillness. I think Kazuha's friends fate rekindled something in Baal, and whatever embers.. Kazuha carried that spark away with him. My theory is that inside Bhaal, the 'moon' is actually a void, left when she too lost her passion and vision. And when someone loses their vision they have a 'hole' they try to fill, or experience a profound loss of memory.
One thing to note is his hand already had bandages before he held the dying vision. If you rewatch the cut scene you can see his hand bandaged while talking to his friend. He still could have been burnt but he had them on prior.
If you read the description for MC E and Q ability (anemo or Geo) it says you studied different things with Paimon to come up with the skill. For Anemo Q it says you studied the flapping of a butterfly's wings. So yeah maybe that's what MC means. And maybe since the archons are the most powerful beings that use elemental power (apart from elemental beings and creatures like Dvalin, Azdaha etc), studying nature and natural phenomenon revolving around the element in question would've helped us to understand an Archon better, because they are... Almost the embodiment of that element. Something like.. Maybe the archons themselves modelled their skills after natural phenomena. I hope I'm making sense.

Paimon is most likely from Celestia, as her clothing resembles aspects of the statues of the seven as well as the pillar in dragonspine. She is either knowingly or unknowingly tasked to keep her eye on the traveler, as s/he is from another world. there's a possibility that paimon is a messenger (hermes) of the gods from celestia. remember traveler found paimon? when you look in the direction, she has drifted ashore from the nameless island, which is one of the portals towards celestia that barbatos himself sunk it down. this is just a theory though. take it as a pinch of salt
When kazuha mentions the traver and paimon having the smell of the stars, it instantly reminded me of the clip of two stars falling from the sky... But the twins had a 500 year gap of waking up, and they were seperated by the unknown god?? Maybe it wasn't the twins falling from the sky, it was paimon and the traveler? Since paimon was found near where the traveler woke up
The fact that Paimon is also smells like stars raises the question if she is either a being from Celestia... or the less likely suggested theory of her originating from Khaenri'ah. The star is an actual motif that hints on Khaenri'ah and appears in the next characters: Albedo, Aether, Lumine, Dainsleaf, Kaeya and Paimon. If we take more closer inspections on her, Paimon has a scarf wing that floats alongside with her, having the Celestial Motif AND a Khaenri'ah motif. The Celestial motif is the primal design of hers and the hints of godhood carries on with the white colorcode. Why so? The old representation of Morax and Barbatos has white robes and clothes, hinting their divine title. As for the Khaenri'ah motif, the wings the Traveler siblings (Aether and Lumine), has similar design on Paimon's scarf as well. My theory is, Khaenri'ah once used to worship a god, which is Paimon. However, the people of Paimon tried to reach Celestia. The Heavenly Principles warned Paimon to prevent this to happening, however Paimon dismissed it, leading her to either being warped in the future or erase her and other's memories of her origin. Leading to Khaenri'ah being a godless nation and motion The Seven to destroy the nation itself. Though, anything is possible, because Paimon's origins are unknown, but on closer inspections anything is possible.

Honestly at first I thought the quest is not really that interesting but after looking back through the story, making observations and watching this video, I realize that this short Prologue actually gives us a lot of informations about visions and opened us another door to understand how a vision is given/destroyed/deactivated (masterless). I've learned a lot from this one quest. miHoYo's really popping off with the quests, even if its only 1-2 new quest(s) per update or so.
I also like that this quest takes info that could be gathered from various optional sources and puts it in a required quest so that players who missed that info will still receive it. There's a world quest where one of the Sumeru researchers, Alrani, tells us that electro Visions stopped appearing about a year ago and that the Sumeru Academia actually investigated this and came to the conclusion that this was because of the electro archon's will. Such intriguing and important information in an optional side quest that many people may have missed due to either not doing the quest or speeding through the dialogue because they thought a mere side quest is unimportant.

Rather than say have for herself, I think the setting is similar to no game no life. In which, only by gathering all the chess pieces can you challenge the creator. Visions are not really good for people, to fulfill your desire you will have to sacrifice something of your own in return. Lisa having her life shorten was a good example.

Lisa does not ignore the topic of the MC using elemental powers without a vision. On the quest we do with her for the first time she bring up the subject. She may have led the academy because she didn’t like the atmosphere or whatever reason but she is still an inquisitive person.

What I've noticed so far from playing the game is that each vision bearer share a common characteristic to the element they represent,
Like for example for Anemo vision holder (excluding venti since he's an archon):
They are duty bound. They are bounded by their obligation for example jean as an acting grandmaster, or sucrose to her research it is also the same for kazuha who is obligated to find a master for the masterless vision. And xiao who is bound on vanquishing evil
For geo vision holder: they are bound by law and order in this example ningguang, noelle and albedo. Though in albedo's case it's the order of how life is. They are commonly gentle by nature.
For pyro vision: a burning spirit and passion like bennet's thurst for adventure, diluc's batmanesque antics, klee's passion for exploration, and yanfei to help people of liyue. And xiangling who is overly passionate about her cooking. Also amber... dont forget about amber...
For electro vision: they mostly couldn't express themselves and are often times misunderstood... fischl who has only 4 friends, razor who was raised by wolves, keqing who is a skeptic and straightforward way of speaking where people tend to avoid her.
Then there's hydro vision: pure of heart xingqui, barbara, mona and childe. For childe you can see it in his story quest with his brother the innocence and purity of that whole quest. Though childe may be a fatui, his heart may still be pure on the inside.
And last but not the least cryo vision holders: they're the ones who always advocates for change. Like kaeya, diona chongyun, rosaria

I think paimon is a part of a constellation or an actual constelation because if anyone hasnt noticed yet, there are characters in the game with constellations that represents a creature or a person. I think its possible that she belong to the lattet but descended in order to fulfil a role. I also think that she doesnt have anyone to make her their constellation thus making her *alive*

My theory is that Paimon is either like a god depraved from it's power or a god that is pretty much just a child, growing up and gaining power through it's journey.
Pretty much like the MC, from the start, we can see that the twin is very much not a normal human(from their lifespan, to their own power, to both of them going toe to toe to a random god and not being surprised by a god but by the random ass attack they got).
Reason why I think Paimon is a child god is the same as when venti was reminiscing his story where when he is still just a mere wind spirit?(or whisper of the wind, I dunno I forgot). If paimon is still a child, then either she came from celestia or is a celestia.
now if she is a God depraved of power, then she is either many of others that zhongli killed or is a surviving god on the archon war.

When Kazuha asks how we learned to control the elements, there's actually two options. One of which is, as you mentioned, that Paimon taught us. The other is that we touch the Statues of the Seven.

The Cryo archon and our sibling have the same motive, lisa knows what's happening and by observing what kazuha told us baal might have the same motives aswell, liyue and monstad were just the calm before the storm. This might've given you a clue about what's happening
It's very interesting that the Gods do serve their own ideals over the people of their nation. Could it be that they only appear to be "good" to their people? Like venti does it for his friend, zhongli does it for guizhong,, and both grow to care for their people, that's why they appear as "good" whereas Baal doesn't seem to have a reason to and is focused on chasing this "eternity", that's why she's misunderstood and the tsaritsa is well focused on her rebellion against celestia,, is that why they're seen as "uncaring" to their people ? Idk, after all they are archons, celestia only meant for them to rule each of the seven nation but were not obligated to serve them unless they have a reason to do so.
There's an implication that the Original 7 cared for humans. There's some dialogue written that they agreed amongst themselves that a standard for an archon would be to have a love for humans. There's also more implication that the new archons are human based (allogene) gods. It's kind of sad - Morax is a dragon, and Barbatos is a wind elemental, but both of them care more for humans than the would be human gods.
@MaxMikescrool1 To be fair, putting yourself and your ideals above others is a pretty common trait in humans. Maybe dragons and wind spirits are better at caring for inferior species because they're more used to it, or maybe Baal is just not as experienced as the archons we've met and is doubting herself. Or it could be that the newer archons just aren't as good as the original seven. There's no way to know for sure.

This is revealed in that whole Rhodeia's Rage event where the water of Monstadt turned bitter before the traveler solved it. I'll list down a few things that make me really sus of Paimon. No concrete evidence, just really suspicious stuff:
- The game menu is called a Paimon menu
- There is an achievement that you can get by playing around the dialogue volume slider, it is called "You could hear Paimon all along, could you?". Is this supposed to imply that Paimon knows what is happening even when the game is paused?
- In the video, it said that Paimon might already know about the archons' abilities. We know of another character who also has a Galaxy cape that narrates all of the abilities of characters that come out, Dainsleif.
- Paimon refers to herself in third person. In japanese dub, she refers to herself as 'Oira' which in english is the plural of 'I'. There are two versions of Paimon you can find in your mail.
- When you pause the game (open Paimon menu ), Paimon looks directly at you. No, not your character in the game, but at your screen.
- and during the quest 'Kaeya's Gain' - if the player didn't ask Kaeya for any clues to find the sword, one of the dialogue options read " Uh, actually, I tapped into other sources for help... " ... when it mentioned other sources, was it referring to google?
- In game mails; when it's a character's birthday, that character sends you a mail.
When it's your birthday, you get a mail from the Mailing System.
When you redeem a code, you receive a mail from the Genshin Impact Operations Team.
When there are events or game updates/maintenance, you get a mail from... P.A.I.M.O.N. ??
though maybe I'm just overthinking. maybe these are just jokes that I'm taking too seriously.

The Abyss sibling believes that neither vision bearers nor ordinary people are important to the gods. I don't know if that's the correct answer, but I think there's a good chance it could be since they've already completed their journey through Teyvat and have chosen to rebel against the gods of Celestia.
Paimon is the manifestation of our lost power. She talks for us and she makes decisions for us. Traveler has an idol animation of manifesting stars in their hands and paimon literally vanishes into stars. So similar power connection can be made their.

But Paimon knows teyvat and she can't be Traveler's memories cause the Traveler remembers Khaenri'ah events

Its kinda annoying to have to go to the statues n switch types. From anemo to geo, now electric. If I can pull up a screen and switch weapons even while in battle. Should be able to switch elemental types.

Something else to note about Paimon: the design on her sleeves and boots is the same as the ornaments at the base of the fully restored Statues of the Seven, the top of the Skyforst Nail (the floating pillar above Dragonspine), and on some of the smaller pillars seen in the title screen, which many assume to be Celestia.

I was thinking about Paimon when you mentioned her. Look at her cape, there are stars drawn on it. Furthermore, she can fly and she literally revive us when we (all the party members) die. I strongly believe she's from Celestia, or from somewhere in the sky (maybe she's linked with the sudden and mysterious attack that came from the skies, quoted in the encrypted message of the ruin guards on Dragonspine).
I wonder about her status too. Why is she a chibi ? Does it mean she's a fallen entity ? From Celestia ? It could explain some lines like : she knows Teyvat and she wants to be our guide to take a revenge on what makes her in her current state.
One more question : why Zhongly and Venti didn't talk about her ? They both are very old Archon. They probably know, or at least heard about Paimon or her pairs of she has. However it can be. I love your vid.
Another thing to note about Paimon is that the design on her outfit looks just like the pillars of the place we see when we are logging into the game which is theorized to be Celestia.

If i remember correctly Lisa said that visions grants great power for those who have it but as spider man film said with great power comes greats responsibilities(sorry for this random thing) in this case Lisa think that this visions has a big price to be paid and when you save mondstadt cuz of dvalin you and venti speaks about you being the 5 wind or something like that but you refuse and he tells that those that died having an vision becomes semi-gods themselfs but celestia also have their owns rules whose archons needed to obey as seen on the second part of the zhongli mission where you seal again azdaha,we says he made a contract in celestia to never speak about khanri'ah but with who? So my guess why baal declare the vision hunt decree was to protect her people from this "price" and for the storm she is doing i think is not meant for the people but its a barrier to put celestia away on that island...

while we know archons grant powers in the form of vision, we also know that they are granted archons by higher beings from celestia (aside from having to fight wars to win it :p), which means there are higher things at play when it comes to vision power and subsequently its higher form originated in celestia. and i suspect this higher beings are also a factor in the khaenri'ah cataclysm event.

My own understanding about the Lisa thing is in her lore, and her constellation, Tempus Fugit. She kind of gave up on pursuing knowledge after being fed up with her time in Sumeru. Mona has some interesting comments about her too, like Tempus Fugit means that time is limited, and more knowledge comes at the cost of more of your time (the sand falling down the hourglass). Lisa decided to stop the sand from falling by becoming way more passive, putting the hourglass on the side (She even refused to become a captain in the knights of Favonius even after being asked multiple times). So she doesn't need to try to understand everything about the anomaly that we are.

I think the burning is what happened when vision users hold another's vision
So far what I understood is a archon can give you a vision for any reason whether it is bad or good, visions burn out when it's owner dies and the vision becomes masterless but the vision can be reawaken if that archon chooses to give that vision to you. 1 thing about it that I don't know is can a masterless vision need to be from the same archon or can it be reawaken from a different archon.
For the Paimon thing my sister just thinks she's the nameless god.
Lisa doesn't ask traveler about their vision because in manga she have seen someone with small power of archons if you want to know look it in manga on mihoyo's website if i am wrong please let me know thanks

Hey! I just wanted to share some small detail I noticed in Genshin impact. Maybe you’ve already noticed it or it’s been said but here it is: if you look at the character menu and look at their vision in the top left corner you will see it has their vision, the design of the vision depends what nation you’re from. Mondstatd has something like wings. Liyue is like the geo elements symbol. Inazuma’s design has 3 circles at the top of the vision.

I believe the Vision wielder is chosen not by physical strength but by strength of character and how it resonates with the respective Archon's ideals.
For Anemo characters, people have noticed that they all currently have a theme of separation and being freedom.
Jean and her parents divorce.
Xiao and his lost of comrades. (we know his vision is fake but it's clear the Devs picked one matching his theme)
Sucrose and the lost of her Childhood friends.
Also, Barbara acquired her vision from her overwhelming compassion and kindness.
Bennett got his for his unending display of passion inspite of his bad luck.
Xinyan and her passion for Rock in a land that initially resisted it.
The other elements are tricky to place but they clearly have a pattern of a theme among theme.
Xiao's Vision is real, though. His "Vision" story reads: "Xiao no longer remembers the moment he received his Vision. To humans, this would be an unforgettable event. But for him, this was just the beginning of his endless battle."
This confirms that he indeed has a real Vision.

@@corrin-1976 there seems to be a theme of loneliness for cryo vision bearers. Kaeya got his when he lost his adoptive father and fought Diluc, Eula when leaving her clan, Qiqi got hers in her dying moments, Ganyu when leaving for the human world, and Diona while taking care of her drunk father. I feel like it supports the theory that the cryo archon is the God of love since she comes to people in their loneliest moments.

It's likely that it was a case of conflicting contracts, ones not obvious at the moment they were made.

I found it interesting that kazuha says that we smell of the stars because albedo said we carry the aura of the stars. Honestly it doesn't shock me very much that paimon smell of the stars as well, as she leaves a trail of stars behind her while floating.
However, it is curious that Kazuha knows how stars smell.
For Paimon, during a loading screen, there was written something about fairies, i don't recall exactly what it said (plus my game is not in English) but it reminded me of Paimon.
Also it seems curious that nobody in Teyvat knows what Paimon is but nobody seems shocked to see a floating child dressed in clothes that match none of the nations

I theorize that the vision didn't burn with such a ferocity because its' master had died. But that it reacted, coincidentally at the time kazuha made his fervent wish that his friends vision not rest with 'A cold dead god.' It instead burned him, and Kazuha carried that vision elsewhere seeing if it could or would react to another wielder.
It already had. And someone who was close at hand when his friend was killed. So someone in inazuma. The running theme of Inzauma is the vision hunt decree and how removing someones vision damages them.. removes their passion. Her face goes from impassioned and violent action to a fallen stillness.
I think Kazuha's friends fate rekindled something in Baal, and whatever embers.. Kazuha carried that spark away with him. My theory is that inside Bhaal, the 'moon' is actually a void, left when she too lost her passion and vision. And when someone loses their vision they have a 'hole' they try to fill, or experience a profound loss of memory.
One thing to note is his hand already had bandages before he held the dying vision. If you rewatch the cut scene you can see his hand bandaged while talking to his friend. He still could have been burnt but he had them on prior.

If you read the description for MC E and Q ability (anemo or Geo) it says you studied different things with Paimon to come up with the skill. For Anemo Q it says you studied the flapping of a butterfly's wings. So yeah maybe that's what MC means. And maybe since the archons are the most powerful beings that use elemental power (apart from elemental beings and creatures like Dvalin, Azdaha etc), studying nature and natural phenomenon revolving around the element in question would've helped us to understand an Archon better, because they are... Almost the embodiment of that element. Something like.. Maybe the archons themselves modelled their skills after natural phenomena. I hope I'm making sense.
After the theme was played in 3:50 I literally knew what theme was it and it's still one of my best ever heard theme

Paimon is most likely from Celestia, as her clothing resembles aspects of the statues of the seven as well as the pillar in dragonspine.
She is either knowingly or unknowingly tasked to keep her eye on the traveler, as s/he is from another world. Also despite her efforts, the unknown god was unable to subdue the siblings for good, one now even working with the Abyss Order. But neither are currently a threat, so the divine doesn't bother to put to much effort into it. Hence sending some spare emergency food for the time being.

there's a possibility that paimon is a messenger (hermes) of the gods from celestia. remember traveler found paimon? when you look in the direction, she has drifted ashore from the nameless island, which is one of the portals towards celestia that barbatos himself sunk it down. this is just a theory though. take it as a pinch of salt

When kazuha mentions the traver and paimon having the smell of the stars, it instantly reminded me of the clip of two stars falling from the sky... But the twins had a 500 year gap of waking up, and they were seperated by the unknown god?? Maybe it wasn't the twins falling from the sky, it was paimon and the traveler? Since paimon was found near where the traveler woke up
The fact that Paimon is also smells like stars raises the question if she is either a being from Celestia... or the less likely suggested theory of her originating from Khaenri'ah. The star is an actual motif that hints on Khaenri'ah and appears in the next characters: Albedo, Aether, Lumine, Dainsleaf, Kaeya and Paimon.
If we take more closer inspections on her, Paimon has a scarf wing that floats alongside with her, having the Celestial Motif AND a Khaenri'ah motif. The Celestial motif is the primal design of hers and the hints of godhood carries on with the white colorcode. Why so? The old representation of Morax and Barbatos has white robes and clothes, hinting their divine title. As for the Khaenri'ah motif, the wings the Traveler siblings (Aether and Lumine), has similar design on Paimon's scarf as well.
My theory is, Khaenri'ah once used to worship a god, which is Paimon. However, the people of Paimon tried to reach Celestia. The Heavenly Principles warned Paimon to prevent this to happening, however Paimon dismissed it, leading her to either being warped in the future or erase her and other's memories of her origin. Leading to Khaenri'ah being a godless nation and motion The Seven to destroy the nation itself. Though, anything is possible, because Paimon's origins are unknown, but on closer inspections anything is possible.

Just a personal thought; Paimon may be a being that lived and/or a citizen in celestia for a reason that her clothing resembles the pillar that is floating on top of Dragonspine Which Game/Manga states that the pillar came from the floating city of celestia that can be a reason to Kazuha's staement that paimon smells like stars.
Also a funny thougt:Maybe Paimon fell or Exiled from Celestia wich could be a reason why she was drowning in the first place LOL
