At 0:45 it is Saiguu's mother who is speculated to be the original electro archon, not Saiguu. My words may seem to point to Saiguu. Sorry about that.
Also, at the time the abyss consumed Saiguu, the traveler twins have probably not yet arrived, or were witnessing it or were trying to escape but the Unknown God stopped them. The abyss sibling has no part in the cataclysm of 500 years ago.

the game of hide-and-seek between iori and saiguu is like that one npc from liyue named childish jiang. tricking someone so they can hide safely while the other leaves to deal with a problem, and both ended up with a tragic end.

Actually, Kitsune Saiguu is Baal's close aide and I wouldn't be surprised if the Omnipresent Statue is based on her..I mean if Zhongli has Guizhong that helps her, Baal has Kitsune Saiguu..I wouldn't be surprised if Saiguu is the reason of Baal's change.

Genshin lore is so intricately woven among so many patches and quest that for someone not paying attention to everything it might look to simple but more you dive more you find and more you amazed by it
Writing a game story understandable and enjoyable for all type of players ranging from lore lovers to min maxing meta tc, and playable story ranging from children to adult is a big feat
Story is simple, and yet complex at same time depending on your effort and vision and I respect it

@@a_person890 honkai has better main story especially because it is now fully fleshed out in beginning chapters it was just about a few anime girls and their schools, it became intense later on
Genshin has better world building and lore which is hard to connect, main story so far is simple just like initial phase of honkai
It will grow better in later parts, I am not guessing but expecting this based on all the hints being dropped in artifacts/weapons and items lore which help you predict the future directions a bit
Just think about how early prologue was made and how late was pale flame set dropped and still both of them are so deeply connected that it looks like both were made at same time and just released several months later, let this fact settle
Similarly the case of ruin guard which was sitting their since prologue just to become relevant so much patches later, it hints how far ahead the story is planned, other example is tree in nantiamen, jiu and azdaha which we fought now, they were sure that they would release this boss since prologue, several other hints were dropped when some weapon set was released hinting even more about Azdaha

I think the same. The Narukami's Affection weapon material description states that all the tales of these beings she's met rest within her heart, and someday "they will surely shine again in the eternal paradise of her dreams". Chiyo, the Great Tengy, and Kitsune Saiguu are mentioned as among those she remembers in her heart.
I'm just blown away by how well connected this entire lore is.

Probably will not happen, Honkai fans are crying for anime adaptation because of how fucking good the cutscenes are and what they are better then most anime in existence, but all we are getting is meme chibi show and some cooking show, so i would not hope for Genshin anime

This changes my view on Baal a lot I can kinda understand her motives more and can sympathise with her
Turns out the Abyss have alot of important key story in here and I'm still waiting to see what chasm really looks like now after the war between the milelith and the unknown yaksha fighting the abyss order. If mondstatd is the origin nest of Abyss order how much their influence really affect teyvat for 500 years.
Well the reason why the sibling meet the sustainer.o.h.p is because of war betwen celestia and kaenri'ah. And the abyss are people or kaenri'ah that cursed by the god. That is the root of our problem, celestia (the gods) and ex kaenri'ah (the abyss)
Maybe related with Dunyu Ruins.. because back in Cataclysm Dunyu Ruins hold important role .. it's sacrifices a Yaksha and Milelith Soldiers..

I'm wondering the same thing
I can only speculate much is that its basically because of change in time and all that her friends left her side as well as her own twin sister Makoto.
My other speculation is that it's as she herself said "eternity is the closest to heavenly principles". Khaenriah was purged by the divine rulers of Celestia because they went against the principles in many ways. Hence she pushes her goal of Eternity forward as this goal does not go against the laws of Teyvat hence her nation is untouched.
Of course, ths does not excuse her actions of forcing her own people to follow what she wants.

I have 2 things to say.
#1. I demand Ioroi be freed IMMEDIATELY from his unjust stony prison!
#2. If MHY really wants to continue this trend of just casually inserting dozens of local words into the dialog, background lore, recipes etc.., they should have an in-game glossary where players can check the meaning, and LISTEN to a voiceline that demonstrates proper pronunciation.
I've lived in Japan a long ass time so most of these Inazuma words are familiar enough so that I can just read through everything without having to pause and google a word every 20 seconds but, LiYue was just constant frustration... (they really like their X's and Q's... )

Saiguu’s story somehow reminds me of Kikyo from Inuyasha. A priestess so powerful that she opposed the demons but eventually fell in battle but was resurrected
Funfact : there's a electro symbol on raiden's back (behind her hair), in honkai impact Yae Sakura Jonin battle suit (she looks like Yae Miko but ninja) also have something like this, this might be a stigmatas refrence too since raiden looks like mei in honkai
On the Raiden Mei's Danzai Spectremancer skin, there's an electro symbol on her dress too.
I wont be suprised if all the archons have stigmatas on their back

Fun Fact: "Miko" meaning can be "child of god"
One thing for sure: Baal lost many thing to the abyss, the most significant thing that happen one year ago likely to be the arrival of the traverler and Paimon. This make the abyss super active, thus make Baal issue the Vision hunt decree
So she actually aware of this issue and prepare for counter the Abyss but her enemies not only the abyss but the other Human organizations Fatui Harbringers. That seeks her Gnosis which is represented as the Archon ruler of that nation.
We need 2.1 which Aether confront Raiden and tell her the truth for find his siblings!!

By far the best quest they've added to the game for sure. The lore is just so damn incredible.
Note that the first ever electro Archon is Ogosho, because she explicitly stated in book lore to joined the Archon War (can't rmb the name up my head but it's found in the teahouse, the ex-ninja guy). Rather Baal is the Shogun that seen the death of the Kitsune because Baal became a tyrant after the event ( she was kind and merciful based on the gifts seller of Ritou)
Theory for 1:16 : Maybe Saiguu already had the concept of eternity before Raiden. However, since she wasn't the ruler of Inazuma, she couldn't do it. When Saiguu heard of the catalysm, she thought of planning her death to pass the concept of enternity to Raiden's mind. Since one of Raiden's close ally died, she couldn't get over it and had the idea of eternity, just like Saiguu's plan. But because Raiden still loves her people, she couldn't think of a way to convience her nation about the enternity she had in mind. After a really long time, the idea of eternity still hasn't faded in Raiden's mind, and that's when Rex Lapis told her about his plan faking his death. Maybe she was close to Rex Lapis, too, she couldn't handle the fact that she's about to lose another friend, so she decided to commit the enternity thing on Inazuma, because she doesn't want to lose another friend
i still cant believe how detailed Genshin impact did the story quest ,weapons, scenery ,artifacts,ect..

-Arataki ittou: (mentioned by Sayu and Yoimiya). You can also find more info about him on inazuma bulletin board. He lost his vision to Sara. But doesn't seem to lost his ambition because he immediately challenge Sara afterward.
-Shikanoin Heizou: (mentioned by Ayaka) part of tenryou commission alongside Sara.
-Kamisato Ayato: (mentioned by Sayu and Ayaka). According to an NPC at kommore teahouse he lost his vision to ayato in a duel. He is a sword user but also great with polearm.
-Kuki ninja: (mentioned by Sayu) ittou's subordinate called by Sayu as 'her'.
-Kitsune saiguu: (no one mentioned her) but from official Paimon twitter she has a dialogue for raiden. So just speculation.
I wonder where we can meet Sayu. At least on my progress on Inazuma (just finish the 2nd Arc of Inazuma Archon Quest and some side quest), I even can't found her. The only one thing I knew Sayu was there was on Traveler's voice line with Paimon

Check the weapon ascension materials at court of flowing sands around Narukami Island, lore on Chiyo the Oni, the Great Serpent that Baal fought on Yashiori Island, and Tenguu are present there. I'm pretty sure all these events are related to as to why Baal is seeking eternity so much. Just an opinion, though I think I'm close.

The Kanade-Takamine lore is one of my favorite storylines hidden in the game's artifact and weapon lore. Hopefully we learn more about them when we get to Seirai.
This is challenging for someone who tend to forget stories.
I'm so glad someone did this, I read most of the branches name story from Bilibili lore storytelling perspective and boy, the Unrequited love of Doukei/Iwakura towards Teruyo Tenguu and the fate of Takamine when he had to go to war with Raiden Shogun, but in the end he also turned into an Abyss and had to be "freed" by the one he loved, Kanade. In the end Kanade will be the one joined the rebellion against Shogun.
Edit : Btw I never played the game but invested to the story. So I had to google their names I hope I didn't get it wrong.

Kitsune Saiguu belongs to the Hakushin bloodline. And Kazari (The memories of kitsune Saiguu herlself) during the cleansing of Sakura said that Yae miko is also a descendant of the Hakushin bloodline. Also, Kitsune Saiguu and Ei's other 2 friends they all perished in the abyss in the cataclysm 500 years ago
Her kitsune for really reminds me of senko-san. But a taller version with white hair. Both look beautiful.

I used kazari's mask consciously because keeping the mask will only make me remember her sad story, now at least in the form of catalyst it can be useful for Yae (hopefully)

storytelling from china and japan is so different. and anime itself is a pretty unique and very specific style of storytelling. if this were to be made to anime i'm afraid no studio can do it justice.

@M Fardhias N i say that from a hobbyist writer perspective. because this is a chinese company, made by staff with chinese nationality, storytelling is gonna be way different than the standard anime, even though they are using anime style character design and art. even zach aguilar who is known for his repertoire of anime voice over act is told by his VO director that this isn't really anime story . now what would happen if this gets made by japanese anime studio is exactly what heppened to tower of god anime and god of high school. both are korean manhwa with very different storytelling that got adapted to japanese anime, then gets japanized and lost its webtoon soul.
Imagine if Kazari comes back somehow and she becomes the Electro Archon if she was the original one. That would be lit tbh Kazari seems so nice
