Really appreciate the support. I'm really glad to hear all the theory's and perspectives. I probably should have included in the description, but yes I voiced bonnie, freddy, william afton, and fredbear. wait, did people not like the performance of Foxy’s VA? bro, his voice acting is my favorite part of the Pirate Cove Pre-Show tape - his pirate laugh always makes me happy 😭
I love how realistic Squimpus' VHS remake/Battington's VHS series is tbh; like how for example, the animatronics look to have huge CEC or ShowBiz Pizza design inspiration, and also how they never really rely on the jumpscare factor, and that it is mostly the Anticipation of the scare that gets me.
My biggest gripe with the fnaf series has always been how we never really got to see the animatronics be animatronics. I feel like the series would be 100x better if there were like, progressive scenes with them preforming and slowly degrade as each night passed.
@@pomelo9518 Well, they degrade by the hour because of the virus. I don't know why the virus makes their outer shells look like shit, only Chica should since she eats literal garbage. Maybe even close down the Pizzaplex so they can be cleaned during the day meaning Gregory can be around during the day and the night.
@@Pinkooru Mmm. I would say FNAF 3 is 'worse' than SB. SB was a buggy mess but it had high production value and moment of genuine fear for me. FNAF 3 was visually ugly and repetitive in a way FNAF 1, 2, and 4 weren't. I don't know what went wrong (maybe because there was only 1 animatronic).
15:17 I'm seeing these videos for the first time, so Foxy suddenly disappearing came off as unintentionally hilarious because it just reminded me of memes where people voices were perfectly cut off with an echo. It doesn't help that before he disappeared, he lifted his head like he was shouting.
I think the most terrifying thing about the Battington tapes is the fact he doesn't hold back on kids dying like fnaf does. Sure fnaf can say the children were murdered but to actually show the brutality of what happened to these kids sheds a new light on how horrific fnaf is.
true. I for the longest time never felt scared of fnaf, but these tapes, since squimpus, helped me to fear the games again. Like when i played fnaf 1 back then i was just afraid of being jumpscared, nothing else, now little things like the moan sounds that they do when getting close to you i can connect with it being the child that is inside the animatronic and it makes things 100x times scarier
Actually seeing how someone would wear the springlocks really puts it into perspective on how dangerous and terrifying it must be to wear one. Like I know I would not have the guts to get inside one. With my luck it would lock up and it doesn't seem you have long to live once it happens. And that's assuming you'll be able to scream for help with all that pain and that someone would hear you and come in time (and like there's no way someone would be able to stay calm when they're in pain and dying).
What’s terrifying is that I’ve worked at places like Freddy’s, and oftentimes they would just throw you into the work flow just because they needed a constant stream of employees. I can easily imagine employees hardly being informed of how dangerous this suit actually is, because managers at this kind of place just don’t care.
@@Spacecoreinspace The book does goes into more detail, death by spring lock is a 2 phase process: Firstly, the spring locks themselves set loose and snap into the victim, giving them multiple deep lacerations Secondly, the animatronic parts they were holding back move into place, crushing the person inside
This is the direction I wish the games had gone in. Instead they went in the "children's horror" direction and overexplained everything until there was no room for your imagination to fill in the blanks. It's really unfortunate.
well thats if you count the games after ucn, because it has this vibe throughout the 7 games due to them having scott cawthon in charge. It's only very recently changed (pretend fnaf world doesnt exist)
@@ghosttoast4045 No. The series has been as I described since the second game. None of them captured that same grounded but nightmarish atmosphere that the original game had and each sequel became more comedic in tone.
@@RichterTheRat I always thought that what made it scary was the context and weight of the tragedies that had happened . Since we learnt the story quite some time ago; when we eventually revisit the games, tho yes it does get worse in terms of gameplay and surroundings, is balanced with the reminder of the horrors of the buildings we’re essentially trapped in for 6 hours is what is supposed to scare and unnerve you... I think? Although tbh that’s a shit design choice. My favourites in the franchise are 1, 5, and 6 cause they give me a bigger sense of claustrophobia if ykwim
in my opinion it isnt the animitronics or horror that scares me in games like this, its the build up, the knowing that in any second you can lose and die and get jumpscared, and even though when i do end up getting jumpscared it doesnt scare me, in the seconds beforehand its one of the most terryfying experiences you can have
I’ve seen not many people talk about the bare plate endo crawling around scene. But from the few that I’ve seen do, the most popular theory is that this was the aftermath of the bite. When the Crying Child dies, he immediately gets trapped in the Fredbear endoskeleton/suit. And this scene is the first time we see him wake up in this state. The building sets up an evacuation alarm as the suit weakly crawls around, as if CC is trying to get used to it and actually understand what’s going on. He must be so confused and in such agony of suddenly being trapped that he tries to talk… but the only thing the robot allows to go out of his sound box is the happy birthday tune. And then, when CC sees the cameraman, he starts to get closer probably not to kill them, but to beg for help: that’s why he reaches his hand to him and finally let’s a horrendous scream. All we might be watching is the terrifying experience of the CC when he possesses an animatronic for the first time.
@@payt00n perhaps. After all, VHS series aren’t usually 100% game accurate (and sometimes not even the games are accurate amongst themselves lol) Although, the fact that the scene is CC possessing the suit doesn’t require it to happen precisely right after the incident. I don’t even think FFD would have just functioned normally the day after the bite. Perhaps, if CC did hold on a little longer on the hospital for a couple of days, his soul eventually got transported back to the suit once he passed and caught the employees off guard
I love this theory so much, because the birthday song makes so much sense. It was CC's birthday, so it makes sense that his first attempt at communication through Fredbear would be that song. Especially if Fredbear was programmed to sing the birthday song the day CC died.
Ever since they started marketing a HORROR GAME to children, which is questionable as hell, its gone down the shitter. I fully believe the talented as hell fandom is the only thing keeping this entire thing alive. Bringing the series back to form with actual horror.
@@teanobeano6838 FNAF is ALWAYS going to have an appeal to children solely because the mascots of the franchise are animatronic animals. Yeah, there's the fact that these animatronics were possessed by the souls of murdered children, but when has stuff like that ever driven you children/ teenagers away from the series? When I was a kid, I grew up with stuff like Courage the Cowardly Dog, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Invader Zim, etc. and I loved every moment of it. The fact of the matter is, FNAF is always going to have this level of cheese and absurdity that makes it more easily digestible than most other mainstream horror franchises in the gaming market and it's always going to have this large portion of the franchise turning whatever "serious" and "horrifying" aspect of the franchise into a joke. There's no escaping that. It feels like people like you take this franchise more seriously than it has any right to be taken. No amount of dark and edgy backstories and fan projects is ever going to take away from the fact that our primary antagonists are anthropomorphic robotic animals or otherwise that under normal circumstances wouldn't be anymore than just modestly creepy to look at.
unironically i prefer the showbiz-like designs here over the weird segmented designs of the canonical animatronics. makes them feel more believable and real, y'know?
1:29 "It kinda is the grandfather of all these series." Actually that would be Junior0437 that would be the grandfather of FNAF VHS. Their first FNAF VHS video came out in December of 2016, and they stopped making videos sometime around 2019. I spoken to them last year, and they seemed to be doing fine. But yeah, Junior0437 started the FNAF VHS genre, Squimpus merely brought widespread attention towards it.
@@CassiCalamity I think they're referencing the controversy that occurred last year where Battington made a harmless joke about Martin Walls passing away (Due to the fact that Martin hadn't uploaded anything in quite awhile). This ended up blowing up a bit, and when it was revealed to be joke (once again, a harmless one), a lot of people got mad at Battington. One of those people was Squimpus McGrimpus, who gave Battington the OK to remake his tapes. So when word got out, and Battington made an apology post afterwards, Squimpus told Battington that he wasn't allowed to recreate any more of his videos anymore. The "man child" part was probably the second response Squimpus made after Battington made a reply stating the mutual understanding, with Squimpus replying with an image of someone handing you the L.
I remember loving FNaF when I was younger, and the main reason was how frightened it made me. I grew outta the series after a long time, and I came back and was instantly taken aback by how much things had changed. William Afton... Eternal life? What. I'm sorry, but I loved the simple storyline of "a serial killer targets a restaurant and kills kids who go on to possess the animatronics, and you must survive their wrath" and seeing them get freed at the end. It was scary, but a very human story about a tragedy, not distracted from with goofy merch and open world mechanics. It was treated sombrely and it felt *real*.
William Afton IS the serial killer though. The eternal life thing is why the animatronics are possessed to begin with and is partly Afton's motivation to kill. That 'simple storyline' is still there, they just added a shit ton of background information.
@@SameedChowdhury It ain't simple anymore. Because he isn't just serial killer, he's also the co founder who's also a robotics producer who also had three children who also made a rival company who also killed for ghost matter who also made his own robots to kill for ghost matter who also had a virus duplicate who also came back to life thrice and it goes on and on. And your not just a security guard, your the undead child of said murder. His complaint is 100% valid.
@@SameedChowdhury Yeah, but it's not background info. It's just the story now. Because every new game ties into it and every old game is retconned into it. Michael, William, Elizabeth, remnant and Ennard aren't Background lore. They're the centre focus of the entire series.
The chica restroom scene is absolutely perfect. This is everything I would ever want from these types of analogue VHS horror type videos. It's absolutely terrifying and has the atmosphere I expected security breach to have before release
I think Chica’a eyes rolling back was due to the girl screaming. She didn’t get to kill the girl because the loud scream disrupted her sensors, thus making her have to get repaired. Just my theory tho.
5:56 - A minor correction on the “No Movement for the Eyes” note, as a lot of people don’t really notice it without careful comparison: When the Employee/Camera Person moves to Test the eyes following the ears, Bonnie does in fact move. His eye lids perk up so his gaze is wide and alert, and his head is tilted ever so slightly to be staring lock-eyed directly into the Camera. The change however is so subtle that you would only really register it after staring at him long enough.
I think that from ep4 the bathroom, chica didn’t actually kill her, but scared her enough so afton could come “save her” because if we go off of the idea all the kids were taken in 10 minutes from foxy’s pre show and she noticed they were gone so afton had to do something extra to bring her to the back room lure her to the back room with music she likes then kill her there, and possessed chica due to it being something she just experienced
Your jokes helped break some of the tension, thanks. Battington truly is a master of horror, so it's hard to watch without peeing my pants lmao. Also great analysis! I never noticed the implications about Chica.
All I'm seeing from these comments is that she's a groomer or something yet nobody has actually gone into it, just said there's videos and go look elsewhere for information
At 17:18 you can see Golden Freddy isn't just twitching violently... there is a purple cord going from the ceiling to his neck. Golden Freddy was hung to death.
The reason why Bonnie doesn't move his ears and eyes in the test is because of a child being stuffed in it and can't move those parts. And Freddy trying to push open the door and repeating is similar to a child down to the mannerism, even down to gauging how to push open the door.
With the Bonnie joint test, if you compare Bonnie's head from the Ear test and the Eye test, his head has shifted slightly. His eyes are wider and his jaw is opened slightly more, I think. It's either that, or he has shifted from looking at animatronic eye level to looking down at the camera. A subtle, but creepy effect.
That scene in the video with Bonnie Bun and Fredbear on stage has just stuck with me. It has such a feverish quality to it, with the music, the colors, the limited eyesight, the breathing. It’s such a nightmare scenario to be stuck performing to kids in this sweaty death trap of a suit, right next to a partner that probably isn’t even human. The way it stares seems almost mocking. Not to mention when the camera turns toward William. God, seeing a guy like that out of the crowd just staring at you and not even knowing what it entails or even being able to do anything about it. Not to mention, if the person in that suit suffered a springlock failure, all the kids watching the show would have to see.
The beauty of this is that unlike other analog horror tapes, it justifies its existence. This isn't a warning, this is a briefing. This is the puppet carrying out it's archangel job of showing Michael what he needs to do and why he needs to do it.
This series is always gonna be so cool, out of the 3 real FNAF VHS series I have seen this would probably be my least 2nd to favorite of them but it's still an incredible piece of work and super horrifying. And since my favorite part of the whole series was talked about for less than a minute I wanna point out how Fiberglass Bear's single scene is legitimate perfection! They made the happy birthday song terrifying and the scene is honestly kinda sad.
I really love how fnaf is nowadays, the more action based story and modern character designs I actually really enjoy and show how the world in lore progressed, but it's nice to go back and see this antique type horror, chilling man
i would absolutely love to see you analyze the squimpus vids- absolutely my favorite rendition of william afton, his confession tape still is absolutely stellar. great videos as always!
The “scary face malforms AHH” trope is only scary once for me when it comes to watching these VHS series. Squimpus is the only exception. For a while (good month) Afton’s normal face alone gave me terrible nightmares , and any time I’d watch a video on the series I’d skip past the face because it would genuinely give me an anxiety attack. The only ever thing to come close to that would be Gloria in H&H. Guess I was a Wimpus McDimpus.
battington's use of William Afton's face is underrated imo, squimpus designed a perfect face for a serial killer but the way he was placed just out of focus during the fredbear scene and the Bonnie 2 jump-scare legit unnerved me in a very primal way
I believe it's implied that Chica was trying to protect the kid from Afton, what with saying things like "It's time to go home, baby bird". And if it were Chica going to kill the girl then she would've done it before they hid in the stall.
Despite battingtons remake videos not really being that scary, they always have a lingering sense of unease and are really well made. Battington is a master of his craft and it shows
@@teanobeano6838 yeah, I think cam 4 footage is a perfect example of that. Phenomenal build up and tension, but then the payoff is just le spooky stretched face with loud noise
My all time favorite moment from this remake series is the part where the, for a lack of a better word, skinless Fredbear crawls around the pizzeria and calls out to Spring Bonnie. Just the way he pulls himself across the floor without his suit on and uses the 'Happy Birthday' song to communicate with Spring Bonnie all while a siren blares is genius and terrifying at the same time, and when I show that clip to friends they don't even notice that Fredbear is trying to find Spring Bonnie via audio-marco polo, and the fridge horror they experience when they realize that is just proof at how good Battington is at horror. It really sucks Scrimpus had to be a big sourpuss as always and tell Battington to stop with the remakes, because I would have loved to see his take on the video with the Crying Child and Charlie; given how great he remade the Pirate Cove Pre-show video.
Maybe if he didn't make a "joke" about a very popular creator being dead with NO indication to it being a prank, Squimpus would've responded better. Especially since Martin HIMSELF went and said it was a messed up joke
It is worth mention that the fake eyes in the springlock guide tape rouling down has som scary implications for the child who was cought by chica. The fake eyes of a mascot head coming down once the springlocks are prepped implies that when those eyes rouled up into chica's head in chica's tape, someone's head was being crushed in there. You probability know who's head it was.
16:30 i am the master pauser. i paused at the EXACT right time to see yes, in the last frame foxy is indeed stuffed with the last little girl, no censor bar though he still has his chest. only detail was the popped out child's eye
I hope Battingtons next move is to somehow recreate the “Michael don’t leave me in here” video from Squimpus’s series bc I’d love to see their retelling
Weird thing happened a couple days ago when I watched the Foxy Pre Show episode. The moment Low Resolution Foxy gets overlayed with the message about the Tape being Prohibited from being seen, my right headphone sent like a static shock that started in the ear and ended at my nose. And I was just overcome with this feeling of impending doom for a few minutes. I'm not saying the tape is haunted, but damn that coincidence spooked me in the early hours of that morning. Lol
The battington tapes are probably some of the only horror content left on TH-cam that I still won’t watch in full screen, still creeps me out. Battington is an artisan
27:29 I agree as I think that although its very creepy and unerving the old animatronics are wayyyy to much, like I can kinda forgive the foxy design, but the rest, no way. As I feel that the design should be creepy and unintentionally scary. Like these things were designed to look kid friendly and wholesome.
I always saw this scene as the person who had the springlock failure running out of the room in pain and know that I saw this I realize it is more likely of it being an employee running to save him since the springlocks most likely broke his bones 22:22
A reminder that the ears in Bonnie's Repair Tape did not move, HOWEVER; the eyes did. If you replay it at least once you will see that the eyes are now looking at you. And after a few seconds, death finds.
quick reminder to anyone that plans to make a robot themed restaurant. Make the Robots SOFT and small, no strings no strong jaws no strong hands cuz you gotta be able to stomp the shit out of them if they attack and hiding bodies in tiny robots is kinda difficult (no i dont have experience)
The chica scene felt more like she was telling to kid to leave as it was not safe, but the fact the kid got so scared of chica her screams were so loud they blasted the sensors that list her hear
I do like how both Squimpus and Battington did these The animatronics do look more scarrier, the vibe is properly back to the ghost story without the convolutions. And I agree- it's nice that the characters do look far more... like these demented CHuck E Chese ones
22:17 THANK YOU! I think you are the first person I've seen cover Battington's series that doesn't say this is William for some reason I don't understand.
Personally the first video is the scariest to me, I can imagine myself hiding in various place I would fit in as a child, and then Freddy just asking my what I’m doing and why I’m hiding knowing I’m going to die is my greatest fear. Not Freddy himself, but the inability to stop my death, that’s what scares me, being completely powerless. That’s why I don’t want to know the cause of my death (if I could find out somehow) and neither do I want to drown, slowly, unable to do anything against an impending doom
I do like this series but I think the whole remake stuff lowers it a bit for me. The highlights of the series for me are mostly the original stuff like the dissecting of the fredbear and bunny bun suits, the fredbear endo layer crawling in the halls, and of course the chica bathroom scene. But when it comes to the stuff being remade it doesn’t really add much for me. The Freddy and Bonnie tape’s don’t really add much for me to make me want to watch them over the originals even if the Bonnie one has a cool introduction to the fixing tape but in general for the Bonnie one it felt less scary than the original video. The chica bathroom scene is legit one of the best scenes from fan made Fnaf content but after that it ends up giving me the same feelings as the Freddy and Bonnie videos, I’m also still debating on whether the ending wear chicas face falls off was either either scarier or goofier than the original. The foxy tape has the mix of original and remake to wear it has the base of the original ( the repeating foxy clip, the children going missing one by one, hanging fredbear, and discard it immediately) but new scenes the preshow clip of foxy being rewritten and adding the rest of the gang with it. I do think at points it’s more effective than the original however it’s still not great since the preshow clip being shown is written to be longer and the repeating part kinda brings the tension down, like after the first child goes missing you know something’s gonna happen with the rest gang. Your right about that guess and the video just goes on, you already know what’s gonna happen from there and the most that’s gonna get you is the little chica scream. Sure we get the foxy peaking out of the cove and running down the hallway shot, and the dead kids by the end but other than being cool little additions there not really notable( and the dead children by the end and even the gore we do see break some of the subtlety from the original) The fredbear family dinner training tape and through out makes me really excited for the series since it’s original content meaning there no basis to go off of and you don’t know what to expect ( which is again a big problem with the main 4 gang tapes for me ) while the fredbear video does have the remake part by the last half, the whole starting half is just about completely original making it more unexpected and gives a lot of room for some new ideas, and plus the last being remade isn’t really about the scares so that helps a bit. I can’t say much about the springtrap and toy Bonnie tapes and I need to watch that last one In fact. But so far I love how he’s treating springtrap and the horror attraction so far. I feel like the series has a huge amount of potential from here on out ( I do hope that more subtley and less in your face horror is used here on out as well)
I honestly think the original is better than the remake in the horror department, like idk something about it being stilted is creepier As far as I know, the reason Battington started doing his own thing was because he made a joke about Martin Walls dying to make fun of the fact that he'd been offline that didn't go over well and Squimpus told him he can't make the remake anymore but idk if anything about that changed after the main drama happened
I think I have way to explain why the sound response test story doesn’t line up. My theory is that William programmed Chica to scare the girl and her scream broke the mics. Then I think William told the girl to follow him because Chica was “being mean” and of course the girl would follow the calming music and William offering her “safety” from Chica.
One series I would like looked at is Reachanimations Paranormal investigations, specifically, how it turned Ennard from a barely scary character in the original, to a terrifying amalgamation of death.
One of the only complaints I have about the series is that the audio for Fazbear Entertainment Video Manual is quite clearly still in reference to Withered Freddy. 'Press down on the shoulders' when there's no longer those prominent gap covers; the upper and lower jaw being two separate pieces; the shape of the torso allowing the movement specified. Had it been slightly differently disassembled it might've felt a little better, but that's also just the obsessive engineer in me being picky over details. (Also the buttons are _massive_ to a ridiculous degree but, I mean, fair enough there, it doesn't make it worse it's just kind of a strange choice in and out of universe.) That, and I think Bonnie moving _during_ the flash beacon segment, while expected, would've maybe been a bit better. Perhaps he moves as though he stops whenever the light's going, too. You missed some of the detail on the Pirate's Cove Pre-Show. The second run through, there's no music, and I believe the audio and video compression, which gets worse throughout each run, is still shown there. And, yes, Foxy does get stuffed. Unfortunate for him. Presumably, the show continues as normal because these aren't possessed animatronics.. yet. Not until, y'know, they get stuffed each time.
fnaf really set off an interest in old animatronics for me and i think thats why i love battingtons tapes! his redesigns are so reminiscent of those i love it. really adds to the horror too, they look so real!
Maybe Chica was controlled by Afton, but since Susie messed Chica up by screaming William had to step in and staged saving because his original plan failed due to Chica getting screwed up. Then, William was showing Susie where the closed “exit” was, then unalived her.
11:00 It makes sense to me that the spirit we see walk to the backrooms here is actually a representation of the child's spirit inside the animatronic, following the "Bonnie head" which represents Afton. Afton probably led the child to the bathroom in the first place but I don't think these two appearances should be intertwined
if you look closely at the golden Freddy twitch scene, I think that's a Hanging reenactment, because he has a purple ring around his neck, and it also ascends into the ceiling that of which a noose portrays. 17:20
This series retake is pure nightmare fuel. I love horror, and rarely do I get affected by it, but each episode had at least one moment that made me deeply uncomfortable. It's how he had used the absence of information for our brains to imagine what comes next. As mentioned in the video, imagination makes the experience worse than the original clip. People are hardwired to fear the unknown, and yet exploitation of this is simple, and effective regardless of the scenario.
Really appreciate the support. I'm really glad to hear all the theory's and perspectives. I probably should have included in the description, but yes I voiced bonnie, freddy, william afton, and fredbear.
I can easily imagine employees hardly being informed of how dangerous this suit actually is, because managers at this kind of place just don’t care.
if i remember right from skimming the books, it crushes your windpipe too, so it'd just be a horrific death from both bleeding out and asphyxiation
@@Spacecoreinspace just don’t get killed then
@@Spacecoreinspace The book does goes into more detail, death by spring lock is a 2 phase process:
Firstly, the spring locks themselves set loose and snap into the victim, giving them multiple deep lacerations
Secondly, the animatronic parts they were holding back move into place, crushing the person inside
you couldn't even scream for help because your vocal chords would be GONE
This is the direction I wish the games had gone in. Instead they went in the "children's horror" direction and overexplained everything until there was no room for your imagination to fill in the blanks. It's really unfortunate.

@@RichterTheRat I like the games 1 - 4 everything else is pale
in my opinion it isnt the animitronics or horror that scares me in games like this, its the build up, the knowing that in any second you can lose and die and get jumpscared, and even though when i do end up getting jumpscared it doesnt scare me, in the seconds beforehand its one of the most terryfying experiences you can have
I’ve seen not many people talk about the bare plate endo crawling around scene.
Dude I didn't even think about that omg that's fucked up.
But the crying child dies in the hospital in the fnaf 4 game. Granted this could have been a change Battington decided to make
@@payt00n perhaps. After all, VHS series aren’t usually 100% game accurate (and sometimes not even the games are accurate amongst themselves lol)
Although, the fact that the scene is CC possessing the suit doesn’t require it to happen precisely right after the incident.
Especially if Fredbear was programmed to sing the birthday song the day CC died.
it's so refreshing to see fnaf be actually scary. We can all agree fnaf has gone down a questionable path but the fanbase is truly one of the best
Ever since they started marketing a HORROR GAME to children, which is questionable as hell, its gone down the shitter.
I fully believe the talented as hell fandom is the only thing keeping this entire thing alive. Bringing the series back to form with actual horror.
@@teanobeano6838
FNAF is ALWAYS going to have an appeal to children solely because the mascots of the franchise are animatronic animals.

One of those people was Squimpus McGrimpus, who gave Battington the OK to remake his tapes. So when word got out, and Battington made an apology post afterwards, Squimpus told Battington that he wasn't allowed to recreate any more of his videos anymore.

i never noticed that detail at 10:50 it makes the whole video so much more unnerving knowing that afton was there the whole time
I remember loving FNaF when I was younger, and the main reason was how frightened it made me.
@ThyBigCheddar that's the shit ton of background info. Also the virus thing could be considered separate from the 'original' story

The change however is so subtle that you would only really register it after staring at him long enough.
oh god i never realized that, thanks
I think that from ep4 the bathroom, chica didn’t actually kill her, but scared her enough so afton could come “save her” because if we go off of the idea all the kids were taken in 10 minutes from foxy’s pre show and she noticed they were gone so afton had to do something extra to bring her to the back room lure her to the back room with music she likes then kill her there, and possessed chica due to it being something she just experienced
afton probably used chica to scare the fuck out of the girl and then “save” her
@@foidly Doing a similar move like in Help wanted, luring her away to 'safety'
Yeah imo chica then got shutdown by her screams and afton pretends he's the one who shut her down to get the girl to trust and follow him.
Your jokes helped break some of the tension, thanks. Battington truly is a master of horror, so it's hard to watch without peeing my pants lmao. Also great analysis! I never noticed the implications about Chica.
It really is massively disturbing holy-
Is Battington really a master of horror when Squimpus was the one who wrote the original script?
@@wordswordswords24 that’s fair, but I personally like Battington’s atmosphere and designs better. It’s all subjective though! To each their own.
Battington expanded on it and gave us a refreshing new perspective… so yes.

Man, Squimpus was so committed to his work that he became a monster in real life too
All I'm seeing from these comments is that she's a groomer or something yet nobody has actually gone into it, just said there's videos and go look elsewhere for information
I don’t understand how the ears couldn’t have moved if that was the case
I'm extremely disappointed with squimpus mcgrimpus's actions. So I'm happy I can watch the story through Battington ^^
The beauty of this is that unlike other analog horror tapes, it justifies its existence. This isn't a warning, this is a briefing. This is the puppet carrying out it's archangel job of showing Michael what he needs to do and why he needs to do it.
It’s kinda funny how Battington’s toy Bonnie’s eyebrows are slaying rn
This series is always gonna be so cool, out of the 3 real FNAF VHS series I have seen this would probably be my least 2nd to favorite of them but it's still an incredible piece of work and super horrifying. And since my favorite part of the whole series was talked about for less than a minute I wanna point out how Fiberglass Bear's single scene is legitimate perfection! They made the happy birthday song terrifying and the scene is honestly kinda sad.
I'm curious why is this your second to least favorite?
Freddy and the Mic Technician are both voiced by Battington himself, fun fact!
I like how the cast of Freddy's has been nice enough to put on pants.
I really love how fnaf is nowadays, the more action based story and modern character designs I actually really enjoy and show how the world in lore progressed, but it's nice to go back and see this antique type horror, chilling man
i think its very shitty now, but thats my opinion
"action based story" action based yes, story? not much atleast for now
i would absolutely love to see you analyze the squimpus vids- absolutely my favorite rendition of william afton, his confession tape still is absolutely stellar. great videos as always!
When the little girl started screaming, a whopper ad started playing
battington's use of William Afton's face is underrated imo, squimpus designed a perfect face for a serial killer but the way he was placed just out of focus during the fredbear scene and the Bonnie 2 jump-scare legit unnerved me in a very primal way
Wasn't it a photo of a real life politician? Or am I thinking of one of the other series Afton faces
I believe it's implied that Chica was trying to protect the kid from Afton, what with saying things like "It's time to go home, baby bird". And if it were Chica going to kill the girl then she would've done it before they hid in the stall.
I love the overenthusiastic voice for Foxy he reminds me of Patchy the Pirate from spongebob

But it's censored
@@tiktok-mc2nqNo, it wasn’t. I’d know.

20:45 can we not talk about how there is blood in the eyes of the head
It is worth mention that the fake eyes in the springlock guide tape rouling down has som scary implications for the child who was cought by chica. The fake eyes of a mascot head coming down once the springlocks are prepped implies that when those eyes rouled up into chica's head in chica's tape, someone's head was being crushed in there. 10:48 I never noticed that before, this adds a new level of horror to this scene I already found horrifying.

27:29 I agree as I think that although its very creepy and unerving the old animatronics are wayyyy to much, like I can kinda forgive the foxy design, but the rest, no way.

I'm so glad your videos keep leading me to such high quality horror content.
I honestly think the original is better than the remake in the horror department, like idk something about it being stilted is creepier
As far as I know, the reason Battington started doing his own thing was because he made a joke about Martin Walls dying to make fun of the fact that he'd been offline that didn't go over well and Squimpus told him he can't make the remake anymore but idk if anything about that changed after the main drama happened

"We have a show in 10 MINUTES" is for some reason the funniest thing I've heard in a while
Great video! it was really smart to take a different approach to making a vid on baddingtons VHS series instead of doing the same as everyone else.
foxy in 144p is truly the most terrifying part
The fact that I watched these tapes in the wrong order and still came to the right conclusion is kinda surprising
Holy hell, I had no idea there was a ghost boy during the maintenance video and I’ve watched both Squimpus and Battington’s videos several times. Wow.
Foxy: I want an audience. William: *Kills all of his audience* Foxy: WHAT THE ACTUAL MUCK????
I’d honestly be down if you wanted to do one of these videos about harmony of horror, or any vhs series as a matter of fact.
Same here
One of the only complaints I have about the series is that the audio for Fazbear Entertainment Video Manual is quite clearly still in reference to Withered Freddy. (Also the buttons are _massive_ to a ridiculous degree but, I mean, fair enough there, it doesn't make it worse it's just kind of a strange choice in and out of universe.)
That, and I think Bonnie moving _during_ the flash beacon segment, while expected, would've maybe been a bit better.
Then, William was showing Susie where the closed “exit” was, then unalived her.
the chica jumpscare thing in the 4th tape got cut off by a tmobile add and i have never laughed more in my life
What's really disturbing and disgusting is Bonnie bun being the girls bathroom because William afton
11:00 It makes sense to me that the spirit we see walk to the backrooms here is actually a representation of the child's spirit inside the animatronic, following the "Bonnie head" which represents Afton. Afton probably led the child to the bathroom in the first place but I don't think these two appearances should be intertwined
Why is it that every time I click on a FNAF video I get ads for Freddy’s Steakburgers
I would’ve never thought the FNAF series would get even more scarier. Thanks for this video man, love the explanations!
if you look closely at the golden Freddy twitch scene, I think that's a Hanging reenactment, because he has a purple ring around his neck, and it also ascends into the ceiling that of which a noose portrays. 17:20
w hollow knight music in the background-it’s a great analysis too! thanks bro
That what the muck joke actually kinda got me
This series retake is pure nightmare fuel.
Battington is great at replicating the unnerving 80s-90s animatronic mascot look
