    I just got to 12-0 the other day for the first time and it's all thanks to kripp (well the deck was actually pretty good too). I have improved a lot since I started watching your videos and so I wanted to thank you. I still have a lot to improve so I hope you continue to bring us great videos.

      @Mrfox
      Yes and no. Around 1/4 of the games is decided up to turn 4 included which is based strictly on RNG draws. If you get to turn 5 without big disadvantage (or advantage in opposite) it's where skill starts counting more than anything. But other case game most often is already decided. I'm very experienced arena player and had many cases where i had to resign on turn 5 or 6. With new arena mode i already had cases where i was pushed to resigning on turn 3 or 4 and it was correct play. In my case for example around 75% of my losses at arena comes from having huge opener disadvantage and its little what i can do about it apart from undercurving deck in general which would punish me in the value game.
      So all in all starting with turn 5 its skill game but before its mostly rng fiesta. That's why i think Kripp should do very comprehensive arena mulligan guide., because SINGLE mistake in that phase may cost you a game.

    • @hankthefrank4548
      @hankthefrank4548 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      that doesnt make any sense because then there wouldnt be people with >7 wins on average

    • @DonFreeq
      @DonFreeq 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @ hank
      Why not? If 7-3 average include 10 games total this is 30% losing ratio where there is general variance (not so many people have average 7+) so mathematically possible to be true. You don't lose straight away in most cases but the disadvantage is so large you lose as the final result. Stabilization costs too much health (later weaker plays due to consideration, needs to gamble for highrolls, burn option) and value.
      I'm always counting odds of hand draws (poker habit) and from my experience its definitely the case. 9 out of mine last 11 losess (12-2, 8-3,11-3,8-3) where when i hit 10% and lower lowrolls on draws up to turn 4. It isnt coincidence.
      Maybe i little bit overexaggerated with 1/4 as im rather unlucky with early draws (like here

    Look Kripp I know this is an old comment, but I have to say this. I just had my highest arena stat ever and its still going. I actually got a high of 5 wins for arena just now, which for me I would say is pretty impressive, and 0 losses. I don't think this is a sheer coincidence or anything. I truly believe it is because of your guide here.

      Here for some Trophies I like this quality, positive comment. Seven wins is very good, just keep playing. I had played for a year before my first 12 win run. High wins require luck even more than skill. If you can use skill to win 4 games, luck of the draw can frequently get you four more wins. I still have plenty of average or poor runs, but I can hit 8 wins a few times a week and 10+ a few times a month. Luck, playing around the worst case scenarios, and quality drafts is what it takes!

    I absolutely appreciate this video. When I first started playing I watched your videos a lot, but not Arena specific, because I wasn't playing Arena. I sucked at it (still do) :p Then my time became limited and it was watch a video or play the game, so I just played. But recently I became interested in Arena again - and Blizzard putting this on their battle.net launch page was perfect, otherwise I might not have found it. After sporadic Arena playing, and ranked playing that clearly sucks as I've never been past 14 *sigh*, I want to get better! You explained things about Arena in this video that I never even thought about. It may not help me win more, but if it doesn't, that will be on me, not you. Bravo Zulu on this vid :)

    - use arena assit addon
    - get cards that good standalone
    - stats on cards are the most important
    - first 10 cards pick best cards (board control, weapons, high stats)
    - second 10 cards are synergy consideration
    - third 10 cards are those that are missing from your deck (what is missing)
    - at least 6 (2) mana drops
    - at least 5 (3) mana drops
    - if you have alot of (4) you shouldt have too many (2)

    Not even kidding, I typically go around 4-3 every arena run because I try to play arena as if it was constructed. After watching this video and applying the tips/help given, I just went 5-0 and still going! xD

    Thank you Kripp... I felt good about myself realising I know every single thing that you said in this video and I didn't even think about it, I just play since vanilla (and ofc it's really occassionally nowadays, for me it isn't a job) : P Even jumping in some new situation, when I don't know the new expansion, I always do well, arena is just arena to me.

    What's the take on cards like Banshee and Hydra? Isn't it high risk? Especially banshee, considering you play it and burn couple of card and the next thing you know, your banshee is either frozen or turned into a goat or frog.

    I had a paladin deck with: around 18 minions, 2 equalities, 1 consecrate, 2 silver swords, 3 sound the bells 2 unidentified mauls and a truesilver blade. I went 0/3.
    for 3 games in a row I got the high mana cost cards in my opening hand. And did not draw the cards that could flip the board when I had to. I didn't even see my "sound the bells + pyromancer" combo. And my opponent got extremely lucky with their draw and random rolls. Just fun :D

    i got my first 12 win arena run today. with druid. with 3 harbingers of catastrophe. i made the meme deck work kripp. it worked. (that said, my deck was ridicoulus. 2 swipes, the lich king, 3 starfalls and great synergy) when your deck is crazy enough, you can get 12 wins with a meme deck.

    I don’t use any kind of draft assist tools...
    Because I play on iPad and I can’t, I really wish that I could because it’d probably help my drafts as I’m still a bit of a noob at Arena.
