if any of you MM developers ever comes back to this video for nostalgic reasons.please believe me, you created something that will always stay in my heart. you created something that felt like christmas 2.0.
I'm glad I subscribed to this channel, mm is awesome. Although it really erks me how they haven't released a date for water to come out. I'm guessing they originally intended for it to be a summer release, but shit happened.
I pretty much knew everything they presented, except the dark matter having less complexity, because of its lack of physics properties and the circle being least cost effective of all shapes. Good job MM, as always.
@Hazalator u know this tutorial was for people who are new on are abit experienced to creating the complex level with a low thermo is mostly for actual pro's or high experinced since it takes LONG before you figure out how to do it. but then again the level sequencer in LBP2 will deal with all that and make that glitch a actual better and real...
0:36 lol I love you guys. 100 SQUILLION VERTICES! I enjoyed this video. It's actually very helpful. I thought the main thing to watch out for was limiting the number of materials I use. I can usually keep my thermometer at a nice halfway point that way. :)
I think it's interesting that circles do not use much thermometer, I always thought the were one of the most complex shapes due to the huge amount of corners.
Think of the popit as a shop, and the thermometer as your money. If your thermometer is full, Then you have no money. by selling objects(deleting), you get your money back. So is money fail? Are objects fail?
i love media molecule, they are so funny =P and LBP rocks!!!!!!! im just sad that some kits they made are no longer available =( like the valentines day kit...........
A circle, is made up of a TON of small sides with tons of corners, but the corners and sides are just so small you cannot see them... for instance, i can make a curved line with a ton of 100% straight lines and nothing more.
I'm trying to make a level, but the thermometer keeps over heating. I decided to delete everything and yes the thermometer is more than half way full with nothing but an entrance in the level. Wtf.
Hmm interisting I might need to watch all of these tips btw I cant think of wut theme I should use cause some of the lbp2 ones are expensive expecialy avalonlia
LittleBigPlanet I love love love glitches because there cool and I can't wait till they make grabbable dark matter that will help me out with my levels a lot. SO GO GLITCHES!!!
Lol, I'm just laughing at the huge LBP1 limitations of the create mode. Nowadays, LBP2 allows you to use emitters as a object preloaders an even, a whole scenery preloader. Also the thermo in LBP2 is 4x bigger than in LBP. Also complex logic no longer requires space in a level and 'heat' by making it.
remember when you had to use dark matter XD now in lbp 3 all you gotta do is make it static witch i love because only the portable lbp games up that lbp 3 were the only ones that had static setting
LBP2 actually had it too but it was only available to the developers, which is where it came from in Vita and LBP3 (they just removed the "DEV ONLY!" from its name string and made it available to the player)
Wrong, it has 1 side like Ruairidh said. If it didn't have any sides then it would be nothing. The circle has a face, which is technically a "side". But as he said, it only exists in mathematical theory. However, in the terms the guy is talking on this video, then the circle doesn't have any sides. There's no definite answer.
you won't guess what i just learned: if a shape is composed of 9 or more vertices in a perfectly circular arrangement, the game will act as if the shape is a perfect circle
Honestly, I think the "painting with stickers" idea was pretty dumb. They should have given us a paint tool, which should be easier to work with (and less space demanding) than stickers. A simple brush and a filler would have been all we needed.

You guys are awesome! Give the rest of the MM crew my thanks for making LBP
Thanks for the advice, Media Moleculers! I don't know where I'd be without your tip videos!
I thought I was quite clued up on what affects the themometer but evidently not! I learned loads from that!!
Actually, hearts have more vertices than those 'circles'.
Hearts have 36 vertices as opposed to the icosagonal circles.

At 1:40 doesn't the circle have MORE corners? because it has small corners that make it a circle
i K. That's how the outline is viewed when grabbed, however, I can assure you that it's, in actual fact, a perfect circle.
Its because in a perfect circle you don't need to record the points of all the vertices, just the centre and radius.
@@user-mw4dd4hb2c nope, size the circle up and see the "perfect" circle in that shape
it's stored as a perfect circle until you modify it
but it's obviously not shown as a circle because it has to be triangulated
@@TorutheRedFox there's also the issue of polygon count that gives it that angular look if thats what they mean

Thanks, this was a really helpful video. Now my levels can be even larger!
welcome back to the hit show;
"Why was this in my recommended, and why wasn't it recommended to me about 10 years ago?"
Or captain thermomiter will soon start screaming at you, "Dah she blows!!!" LOL XD

Or just use the dynamic thermometer on lbp3 to load and unload things
Good video would of been nice to hear more about brains. Hope for more in depth tips videos in the future. Feel free to send me betas for everything
just attach a magnetic key to the pinball and connect it to the flippers. When the pinball hits the flippers the flippers would flip.
Lol could you guys imagine if LBP was on wii. You would place one object and the theremometer would overheat XD

It's the same music in the tutortorial levels, but there is currently no way of getting it into your levels
@Hazalator
did you even listen to what they said in the beginning? The thermometer isn't just there to annoy you
that is a good
This will help me alot guys. Thanks.
Very useful video.

Yo wat is that song thats been playing the whole video? its like da one u listen to when your doing the tutorial levels
You said circles are low cost shapes but you used a triangle of low cost dark matter
Can you make LBP PS4 remastered?
No
in game it says dark mater is more expensive, XD
Hmm interisting I might need to watch all of these tips btw I cant think of wut theme I should use cause some of the lbp2 ones are expensive expecialy avalonlia
So cutting a circle into a circle doesn't waste Thermometer?
EVERYTIME I MAKE A LEVEL WITH MY FRIENDS IT OVER HEATS AND THERMOMETER SAYS DAR SHE BLOWS I USE THE TIPS THEY DON'T!!!
nice
can somebody help me.... i wanna know how to record my ps3.... i rely want to make video's and upload them

@@m1ttyyy idk maybe they deemed it out of scope or too advanced or smth
very usefull.
Ironically if the thermometer was removed then you could build more as the thermometer itself is a drain on cpu power.
The difference is very negligible
but that dosent explain the fact that people like mrsupercomputer can make SUCH complex levels, and never have their thermometer overheat...
anyone else still play lbp one?
I do.

@Th3Gr33n3L4nt3rn >>> I totally agree with you, Little Big Planet is the only game I like on the PS3 too!
Technically, don't the circles in LittleBigPlanet have vertices. You'll see them if you make the circle big.

If you don't have a dencent ps3 or 4 the amout of stuff you copy can even crash your game, unlikey but possible
Circles and dark matter are the cheepest thing to use 'cause it has no value in the game of Little Big Planet.
pleaaaaaaaaaase media molecule take the space suit online again pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase i would pay for sure
omg at 4:37 to 4:40 a lot of complexity and a lot of exclamation signs, one day that happened to me, even the background went all wrong...
