my 32 weeks scan report shows head in lower pole (cephalic presentation) ... Fetal spine to right side and posterior and breech in the right upper pole in present moment... What is the meaning of this mam? Does this mean posterior baby?
Can confirm: My first birth was at the hospital but no one checked his alignment. He was posterior; I ended up with a 32+ hr labor, 3rd degree tear, I was so exhausted and malnourished from not eating and working hard that my body stopped contractions. The dr literally peeled my baby out of my body; my baby nearly died of suffocating and I had months of physical recovery; years of mental/ emotional recovery. My 2nd birth was midwife prenatal care and unassisted birth in 6.5 hrs. No tearing, I was able to sleep through the dilation phase until transition controlled the strength and length of the contractions, baby engaged early and without mishap. It was such an empowering experience that I immediately wanted to do it again. I'd love every woman to experience this kind of birth :)
No woman should have to go through such a difficult birth! 😫😫 But we are happy to hear that, at least, your second one went easier! We can only imagine how scared you must have been during the time leading into this second delivery.... 🙁
This video was reassuring. My baby is on his side but Ive been worried about a long labor. So I have been trying to move him with exercises and he stays the same! LOL. Thank you for this video! I feel more peace about birth.
Hi there Vanessa 😊, you are most welcome!! 😘 We are happy to hear that you found our video reassuring! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hi, I’m 37 weeks baby in pelvis head against cervix (cephalic presentation), the problem is, his body is oblique left with his spine against my belly. On the ultrasound today (37 weeks, 3 days) his head is down and body literally off to the side, imagine a side ways capital L. I can feel his back when I rub the side of my belly and his head for sure deep in the pelvis. What can I do to get his body from off to the side to longitudinal? Thanks in advance your videos have really gotten me through this pregnancy ❤️
Hi there, normally, we don't worry too much about an oblique presentation! In our experience, those babies almost always end up in a good position for labor... The fact that baby's spine is towards your belly is actually great (particularly if baby is also cephalic at this point), because that is what you need: you want your baby head down and facing your back! That said, there are a few ways to support an oblique baby find a better position: First, everything that we show in this video (the one you commented on). Second, a good sitting position to provide the baby with more room in the womb (th-cam.com/video/K5uxfr0YJ_E/w-d-xo.html) Third, a good sleeping position with the same goal: provide more room for the baby (th-cam.com/video/kwTdPSuYzJ0/w-d-xo.html). Finally, please keep in mind that some babies only move into a better position for labor once labor has started. But the result is the same... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
😫😫 We know: some babies just love to move around a lot. And we know that you are probably extremely frustrated at this point. However, what we observe is that such active babies almost always end up in the right position. Of course, there is no guarantee that this applies to you too. However, at least that is what we observe! The other thing is: if your baby is still posterior when labor starts, your baby will most likely find a better position DURING labor. Only about 5-8 in 100 babies are still posterior when the pushing phase starts. So, don't give up just yet! We are sure, everything is gonna be fine! We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there 😊, thanks so much for your lovely feedback! 😘 What we normally do in such cases is help the baby dis-engage from the mother's pelvis with certain exercises (the forward leaning inversion that we show in this video is one of them: th-cam.com/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/w-d-xo.html), before we then try exercises to help the baby turn anterior and then exercises to re-engage. However, we don't generally recommend doing this on your own without the expertise of a professional. A doula can most likely help if she is experienced, but also some doctors or midwives when they are up to natural approaches of helping baby move into the right position.... Please note however, that these natural approaches do not always work... Finally, please note that most babies turn anterior during labor. Moreover, should this be your second baby, you normally don't need to worry too much about it. We know so many second time moms who had no issues whatsoever to deliver a posterior baby... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there Brittany 😊, thanks SO MUCH for your lovely feedback!! 😘 It makes us very happy to hear that you find our videos helpful and that our explanations are clear and straight forward!! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there 😘, it is not easy to turn a baby in that case... But you have basically come to the right video. The only problem is that your case is very specific. So you would actually need a professional like a doula to help you turn your baby... Is there any chance you get the help of someone like that where you live?
Hi I'm 36+2 weeks pregnant my baby is in cephalic position in scan they mentioned "fetal spine is on the left side of mother anteriorly" what does this mean? It's facing towards my back or front? Which is the ideal position for normal delivery
Hi there 😊, this basically means that your baby's back (fetal spine) is on your left side anteriorly (i.e. in the front). In simple words: your baby is facing your back and your baby's back is mostly on your left side (which is fine because almost no baby lies in the womb perfectly straight). A head-down, back-facing position is the ideal position for a normal delivery. 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
My baby is in a posterior position. I had two other children in this same position and had very long and painful labour. I have tried everything this time to engage my baby in the right position but all in vain. I am 36 weeks pregnant. Is there anything I can do?
Hi there 😊, back then, did your doctors tell you that there is any particular reason for your babies to be in a posterior position? There can be so many reasons, like uterine fibroids, or the shape of your pelvis or even the shape of your uterus... Maybe there is a good reason why your babies just cannot rotate into a better position? That said, all we can tell you is to try the things that we show in this video. If these do not work, then we are not aware of what else might work... We hope these exercises will help you! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there 😊, a birth ball can basically be used throughout the pregnancy. The question is rather: which exercises are you allowed to do with the birth ball. It's best to check with your OB which exercises they recommend in your particular case at 24 weeks... We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi ma'am, I'm 36weeks now Lie : longitudinal Presentation : Cephalic Fetal Spine : left anterior Placenta : Fundal Postirior And baby's head is not engaged yet. Can please tell me in which position is my baby? And what expexersices do I need to do? I generally do butterflies, deep squads, squads and some floor moments
Hi there 😊 , we have just the right video for you th-cam.com/video/A8_JTWASGHw/w-d-xo.html 😊 We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
@@anushag2551 You are most welcome! 😊 They say that baby's spine is anterior (i.e. in the front of your tummy). So this means that your baby is facing your back - just as we want it to be. 😊 Actually, they say "left anterior". But that's okay. It just means that baby's back is slightly on the left side. Babies almost never lie perfectly straight in the womb (from the point of view of your tummy). Their back tends to be more on the left or right side 😊
Hi there 😊, did your doctor confirm that your baby is in the right position for labor? If so, there is something else you can try to help the baby engage: th-cam.com/video/A8_JTWASGHw/w-d-xo.html We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi mam now my baby is 37 weeks 5 days babys position is cephalic and anterior baby weight 3kg 121 grams my edd date is 25 feb but still labor pain is not start what can i do please suggest me.

Hi there 😊, we found that the birth ball exercises that we show in this video can be super effective for oblique positions: th-cam.com/video/X3sOObqZHrY/w-d-xo.html Some women have also helped their oblique baby into a better position by trying this approach: th-cam.com/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/w-d-xo.html We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Im on my 35 weeks already and this is my 1st pregnancy. My Doctor said I will be having my last ultrasound beforr my next prenatal schedule which is April 1 2023. Previous 2 ultrasound of mine , the baby is in breech position high lying grade 1 and 2. Now the Doctor said, if my result for this new ultrasound is still the same, then they will take my for C section. Is there any possibility still.going to turn his head down and so on? As mentioned in your previous videos, no need to worried. Is that their final decision or they will decide during OE finger thing to check the cm. Any good advice and videos link you can share with to get it right. Thanks in advance.
Hi there Joyce 😘, first of all, please note that some babies only turn very late! We had cases of babies who turned as late as week 40! However, we are not gonna lie to you: sometimes, there can be good reasons, why a baby just cannot turn. And in those cases, it is very difficult to help baby into a better position for labor... That said, we did record a video on how to naturally turn a baby. You can find it here: th-cam.com/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/w-d-xo.html As for the "final" decision: please note that THEY don't make the decisions! YOU make the decisions! Their job is to inform you about the risks and benefits of a natural delivery as well as a C-section. And then YOU make a decision on how you want to proceed and when. Please always keep that in mind! We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

I'm 36 weeks now ..in 34 week scan it shows baby is cephalic and spine towards mother's left. What does this position means .waiting for your reply. I love watching your vdeos its very informative😊..
Hi there 😊, this is good news! Your baby has turned head down! 😊 The only thing we are not sure about is the sentence "spine towards mother's left". If you read it like that, it just means that the spine of your baby is located more towards your left side (which is fine!!). However, it does not tell you if baby is facing your front or your back....? We assume that your baby is facing your back though (which is what we want) because otherwise, doctors normally emphasize in their reports that baby is NOT facing the back. But if you want to be 100% sure, please ask your doctor! Alternatively, watch this video (th-cam.com/video/Qg52atj2Irg/w-d-xo.html) and try to locate your baby's back on your own! We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Thanks a lot dear..you both helped a lot for my delivery..with all exercises and eating dates helped me deliver easily..and thank god this is a vbac..first delivery was c section and dr gave the report as CPD..and the baby weight was 3.140 g..and now through vbac i delivered a baby whose weight is 3.210g🤭..any way i didn't miss any of your vdeos related to pregnancy and labor..and these information really helped me😊

In my first pregenency although I had all the knowledge about position of the baby ,they couldn't tell me which side the baby was facing even when I asked , that's how my place is 😢 ..I wasn't prepared for posterior baby .. my labour was 48 + hour long and it was very painful ,had 3rd degree tear .. Now I'm 2nd time pregnent very scared about my labour, same as last time they aren’t telling if the baby is posterior or anterior , when I requested again and again all they told me was its in good position with chin tucked .... I want to know , can the baby chin be tucked only while facing back or it can happened while facing front as well ? Becuase that's the only clue they gave me .... And also last pregnancy I had lower back pain from my 8th month and this time I don't have lower back at all . ..can it be also sign that baby is facing back ?
Hi there 😘, we are sorry to hear that you have such a terrible support at your hospital! An OB should really be able to tell you if baby is facing your back or not... First of all, yes, unfortunately, baby can also tuck in the chin when baby is facing your front. HOWEVER: the fact that you don't experience that back pain like last time is a good sign that baby could face your back! 😊 Also, have you already watched this video: th-cam.com/users/shorts1eEHblQhYUw?feature=share ? Maybe this will help you? 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi.. I am on my 39th week and 4 days.. Still not having any pain.. Yesterday I went through Ultrasound scan.. They mentioned, Baby position : cephalic, Spine on right side. Is this the cause of not getting labor pain No difference in Cervix Check up also. Please explain 😢
Hi there 😊, no, please don't worry! Your baby is head down. And it seems that baby's spine is more towards the right side of your body. That's totally okay. Don't worry! Labor WILL start when it's your time! We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤
Hi I'm currently 37 weeks pregnant. My 9th month scanning shows " spine posterior towards maternal left ". Is this mean my baby is posterior ? Pls reply. I'm eagerly waiting for u'r response !!!😊
Hi there 😊, yes, this normally means that your baby faces your front and that baby's back is more towards your left side... But don't worry! Most babies turn into an anterior position eventually! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi guys. First of all thank you for your channel and content. It’s so informative and helpful ☺️ I have a query, hoping to hear from you soon. I am a #FTM 38+1 weeks pregnant now. Baby is in anterior position with head below (cephalic) but hasn’t engaged yet.please let me know if there is anything I can do to engage the baby as the baby is way high up(doc confirmed after internal examination) Doc asked me to continue with squats and a few other exercises and said we will decide further details based on next Saturdays appointment. She was saying that since it’s my first pregnancy and age is 35 if the baby doesn’t engage by this weekend we might have to opt for C-section in 39th week , but I really want to do all I can for a vaginal delivery. Please advise. I am otherwise healthy and baby is also doing good. I walk daily for 45 mins and doing the birthing ball exercises suggested in your video. EDD is Jan 22nd. Please advise. TIA
Hi there 😊, first of all, many thanks for your feedback!! We really appreciate it and are very happy to hear that you find our content helpful!! 😊 Regarding your question: The 2 most effective things that can help engage a baby are squats and pelvic rocking on a birth ball. That said, when it comes to squats, it is important that it's deep squats. Only deep squats have the potential to push the baby further down and engage them. (I think, we have to do a video on this at some point...) As for pelvic rocking, you said that you already do the exercises that we suggest (rocking back and forth and sideways, moving in circles, figure 8 etc.). So that's great! 😊 Now, with that said: please keep in mind that some babies only just engage very late. In fact, some babies only engage once the mother is in labor already. It IS true that this is more likely to happen if this is not your first pregnancy. However, sometimes, babies also drop very late in first pregnancies. So, this is something you might want to discuss with your doctor: some babies only drop once the mother is in labor. Maybe YOUR baby engages a day before your due date? Who knows? It's different from woman to woman... Also, we cannot see how your age (you are only 35!!) and the fact that this is your first pregnancy mean that you need a C-section, particularly given the fact that otherwise, you are perfectly healthy... Of course, only a doctor can assess your situation based on your particular pregnancy case. However, we also recommend getting a second opinion... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
@@CareAboutLittleOnes thank you so much for the timely response😊. By deep squatting do you mean malasana yoga pose? I will discuss with my doctor and find out if we can wait till EDD hopefully baby decides to come by then 🤞I will also try getting a second opinion.
@@CareAboutLittleOnes thank you 😊 when I do malasana I get pain in my pubic region is that normal? I get this pain when I wake up after sleep as well. The pain subsides after a while. I don’t have any pelvic girdle pain though.
Hi there 😊, if your baby is head down, then, basically, the earlier you start with this, the better UNLESS your doctor does not approve, of course. For example, sometimes, there are medical reasons why you may not be allowed to do these exercises. That said, please keep in mind that week 31 is still early days to be worried about baby's position. It is totally normal for babies to move around a lot before finally settling in a good position for labor. So, even if your baby was posterior right now, chances are that baby would end up in the right position, no matter if you do these exercises or not.... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Thank you so much . I did ultrasound some weeks later and o was told that I have an anterior planceta (does it mean my baby is going to be in a good position?) . Now I am 37 weeks how can i be show?
Hi there 😊, no, not at all! 😊 It just means that your placenta is attached to the front of your uterus. However, that does not mean that your baby cannot be in a good position. In very very rare cases, a baby may not be able to turn into the best position because of the position of the placenta. But this hardly ever happens - so, please don't be worried! We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hii Madam hope u r fine I have a question plz help me First delivery was Cesarean Can I deliver normal for the second time??? After how long should I plan my second pregnancy after my Cesarean delivery????
Hi there 😊, yes, under normal circumstances, you can absolutely have a vaginal delivery after a C-section. We recorded a video in which we explain the factors that determine if you can have a VBAC or not: th-cam.com/video/-re1_KCgKWI/w-d-xo.html Ideally, the second delivery takes place at least 24 months after the first one... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hello, please I'm 38 weeks and my fetus is in oblige lie with head with the maternal right iliac fossa. Please what does this mean and what can I do to make my baby engage?

Hii , I'm in 33 weeks of pregnancy and in the growth scan baby position is cephalic. However the baby's position would be changing for few more weeks. Can you pls suggest me which helps me for a normal delivery and get baby's position to cephalic.
Hi there 😘, the only effective (natural) approach we are aware of that could help turn a breech baby is this: th-cam.com/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/w-d-xo.html We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there 😊, these exercises can certainly help to support the process. However, obviously, there is no guarantee that they will help bring the baby into the right position eventually. There are just too many factors that play a role here... We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
I am 39.2 weeks and the baby is always on the right side (ROA or ROT). Should I worry? I tried a lot of exercises but he just prefers the right side ..
Hi there 😊, some babies just do prefer the right side. We have come across LOTS of cases like this... They all have their preferences.... 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there 😊, we are not 100% sure if we understood what you mean. So, here is in general what you can do: If a baby is breech (not in a head down position), we normally try the following exercises to help baby turn head down: th-cam.com/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/w-d-xo.html. If your baby IS head down, but not in a good position for labor (for example, facing your front instead of your back), then we would normally try the exercises that you can find in the video, below which you left your comment. And finally, if your baby IS in a good position for labor, but has not engaged in your pelvis, then the following could help: th-cam.com/video/A8_JTWASGHw/w-d-xo.html Does this answer your question? 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
I'm 4 days away from my due date.. my baby head is down but hasn't reached the pelvis yet 🙄.. I'm worried if it's gonna be a c-section. My doctor says there's only 50% chances for a normal delivery, after they induce some medications we must wait for 18 hours and see.. if not dropped atleast 3 cm ,they ll do a c-section ☹️☹️☹️
Hi there ❤️, we are very sorry to hear that! ☹️ Did you try deep squats? They are the best exercises that you can do to engage a baby - if you are allowed to exercise! We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
My baby turned from LOA to ROA, sometimes im not sure if he's completely anterior. I feel bulge on my top right side, and kicks aeound stomach/ribs. But sometimes also on my left belly side in belly button height. His head is already low like 1/3 or 1/4 in pelvis at 34w. What can I do to make him go to LOA again?
Hi there 😊, we would really not worry too much about that! It is true that LOA has the reputation of being the best position for labor. However, you will feel the benefits of that mostly when you have a very narrow pelvis. We can assure you that we know lots of women whose baby was ROA. And they did not have any problems giving birth to that baby at all... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
I'm 35w 4d now.. in ultrasound today, baby position is cephalic left oblique and afi is 7.6cm. Can u people guide me as to which exercise/video of yours should I follow to get baby in ideal position... Waiting for your reply..
Hi there! 😊 One word: birth ball exercises: th-cam.com/video/X3sOObqZHrY/w-d-xo.html. They can be highly effective in case of oblique positions (unless your doctor told you you should not do any exercises)... And of course, sleeping and sitting in a good position can also support this process: Sitting: th-cam.com/video/K5uxfr0YJ_E/w-d-xo.html Sleeping: th-cam.com/video/kwTdPSuYzJ0/w-d-xo.html We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
@@CareAboutLittleOnes thanks a lot for your reply. As per my ultrasound, by All praise to Allah, I have fundo anterior placenta and no gestational diabetes..
@@deebasayeed8540 You are most welcome! ;-) Okay, a fundal anterior placenta will not affect your baby's position in any way. So, we would not worry about that! ;-)
Hi please post cephalic ROT position baby. Now M in 36 weeks doctor said cephalic ROT position. Let me know what kinda exercise need to do. Please let me know. It's my 3rd pregnancy previous delivery was VBAC. Please reply
Hi there 😊, the exercises are basically the same as when a baby is in an occiput posterior position. We have recorded a video on this topic. You can find it here: th-cam.com/video/wouG3-qVAho/w-d-xo.html We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi I am 38 weeks pregnant. My doctor did an internal examination and she told me that my vagina is tight and my cervix is not opened yet. Can I have normal delivery if my doctor induced labour with medical procedure.
H there 😊, please note that an induction does not mean that you cannot have a normal delivery. Only when they do a C-section will you not have an normal delivery... We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there 😊, ideally, baby moves into a more favorable position first before you try to engage baby's head. The reason is that ROT babies often turn into a posterior position during the beginning of labor (the same normally does not apply to LOT babies). So, ideally, try to help baby into a better position first... We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi i'm in my 36th week now, 10days back I got vertex position in my scan report, but now my baby moved into transverse, it may move to breech. How to control movements into breech what to do for vertex position Can u please help me
Hi I’m currently 37 weeks pregnant , my doctor said it is best to induce the labour on next week because my baby is having slight growth restriction, to prevent any risks. My recent uss (last week) says antero lateral position. I had PV examination yesterday, my doctor was saying cervix 25% posterior tip. Does it meant that my baby is now in posterior, or does it have any other meaning ? And also head is at -3 at pelvis. For which I was planning to do the exercises from your videos. But before doing that I just wanted to confirm this. Thank you.
Hi there 😊, actually, when your doctor mentions the word "posterior" while talking about your cervix, they mean that your cervix is posterior. A cervix is posterior at first. And then at the end of a pregnancy, it starts moving into an anterior position. It's the anterior position we want. However, the body will take care of it all by itself, you cannot do anything to speed this up... But your body already seems to be working on it... So, right now, (in terms of your body's preparation for labor) everything seems to go into the right direction, except that your baby is not yet engaged. But this can happen very fast... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hai again, my doctor did the PV again today, she said baby has moved bit down, but the cervix is still posterior. She said it may get anterior with pain. I’m getting admitted on tomorrow and will be induced on day after tomorrow. I walking and taking the stairs frequently as an exercise. Will it help for the cervix as well? And if it didn’t get anterior will I end up with CS ? Can I only have vaginal birth if it is anterior ? Thank you
@@itzagirl7559 Hi there 😘, please do not worry about the position of your cervix at all! We have never had a case when a woman ended up in a CS because of the position of the cervix. Never. The cervix normally moves forward in the pre-labor phase. However, it can also only just happen once your labor has started. So, this is really something you should not be worried about! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤
Iam 30 weeks of pregnant,my placenta is low lying before now it is in posterior and baby is in breech position and doctor suggested me to take rest, gain weight.and also stitches are done due to low lying placenta in 25weeks. Do i worry about placenta, baby breech position?and when will be the stitches removed?
Hi there 😊, as your pregnancy progresses, your uterus expands upwards - and so does your placenta. Therefore, a low-lying placenta initially is not necessarily a problem if it moves upwards eventually. Moreover, a breech position in week 30 is really not a reason to worry. Your baby is 2.5 more months to turn! That's plenty of time! 😊 When exactly the stitches will be removed really depends on your case. Oftentimes, they remove it sometime in week 36. But again, it really depends on the case... So, to sum up: at the moment, we really would not worry. Lots of things are gonna happen over the next 2.5 months.... 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there, 😊 first of all, please note that some babies only engage very late in a pregnancy. In fact, it is not uncommon that babies engage only AFTER you go into labor. So that's not necessarily a reason to worry... We are about to publish a video on how to engage a baby. But it will probably be too late for you.... The only thing we can tell you is to try deep squats because they can really help push that baby further down... Just ask your provider for approval first because not every woman is allowed to do them... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi 😊. I'm from India.I have one doubt.I have retroflexed utress. I'm 36 weeks pregnant now.this is my second baby.frst baby was c section 3 yrs back.I want to do vbac for this delivery.can affect the vbac for retroflexed utress pls reply. I'm waiting for your reply
Hi there 😘, normally, a retroflexed uterus does not negatively affect a delivery in any way. In other words, normally, it is possible to have a normal delivery. Unfortunately, what we cannot tell you is, if the incision they make in a retroflexed uterus during a C-section has an impact on whether or not you can have a vbac. We don't believe so, however, because normally, a retroflexed uterus "changes its position" during a pregnancy. So most likely, a VBAC won't be a problem. However, this is something we kindly ask you to discuss with your doctor. But again, we assume that - as long as you are otherwise a good candidate for VBAC (and that too is something you need to discuss with your doctor who knows your pregnancy case) - a retroflexed uterus should not prevent you from having a VBAC... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
hi. my placenta is in posterior , they said it will be more longer in labor and pain.. But will it be possible that i can turn my baby into anterior while my placenta is in posterior.??
Hi there 😊, great question! Basically, the answer is yes: it is absolutely possible to turn a baby into an anterior position while the placenta is posterior. We also like to point out that a posterior placenta does not necessarily mean that your labor is gonna take longer and is gonna be more painful. The reality is that it is very difficult to predict, how the posterior position of your placenta will affect the position of your baby as well as your labor. It's so different from woman to woman. Some women don't feel any effect of it at all. In other cases the posterior placenta can prevent the baby from turning. So, what we are trying to say is: please don't worry just yet! We know lots of women who had a perfectly "normal" delivery with a posterior placenta - no complications at all... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Very helpful, im 33 weeks now and im always watching your videos that can atleast help me to make my baby in right position when i give birth next month thanks for your reply ❤️
I'm 36 weeks right now and my scan report says that my baby's cephalic spine right position. Does it mean my baby's posterior? I feel her kicks on the left side of my tummy not in the front or back.
Hi there 😊, it's difficult to say because OBs all have their own way of making notes. In general, it is totally normal for baby's back to either be on the left or right side of the belly. However, what we cannot tell you is if that means that baby's spine is more towards your belly or your back. That said, based on your symptoms, it most likely means that your baby's back is on the right side of your body. In other words: neither really posterior nor anterior at this point. But we strongly encourage you to ask your OB! Don't hesitate to do that because it's their duty to answer your questions! We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
@@CareAboutLittleOnes I just found out my baby is in Right occiput transverse position. What should I do to get her in anterior? I'm already 37 weeks right now and I'm worried that it might be too late for the baby to turn
@@myloveisu2696 Hi there 😘, if baby is in a transverse position, we normally try this: th-cam.com/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/w-d-xo.html Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that it works, because some babies are unable to turn head down. And there can be many reasons for that (f.e. because of the position of the placenta)... Still, it is the only (natural) approach we know that may help turn a baby that late in a pregnancy.... We hope this helps! 😘 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤
@@myloveisu2696 Got you! Okay, in that case, you would try the same strategies that we show in this video: th-cam.com/video/wouG3-qVAho/w-d-xo.html Moreover, try this sitting position: th-cam.com/video/K5uxfr0YJ_E/w-d-xo.html And the following sleeping position: th-cam.com/video/kwTdPSuYzJ0/w-d-xo.html All of those strategies make more room for your baby in your womb! Of course, it's still up to your baby to "make a decision" to move into a better position. However, they often do so, when they have more space.... We hope this helps!
Hi there 😊 I assume you mean the exercises in this video th-cam.com/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/w-d-xo.html, right? If your doctor allows you to do these exercises in case of a twin pregnancy, you can certainly try them. That said, when it comes to twin pregnancies, we normally don't do these exercises (simply because most doctors consider twin pregnancies "high risk" pregnancies and thus do not recommend these exercises - but it depends a bit on your doctor). What we normally try instead is moxa while the woman is in a left side-lying position, i.e. the one we explain in this video: th-cam.com/video/L0Fb_HdBtog/w-d-xo.html. In that case, moxa can also be done for 20-30 minutes. It can work really well, although it never works within one session only. 😊 We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your babies!! ❤️
Hi there 😘, it's difficult to say! 😬 An anterior placenta COULD make it more difficult for baby to turn anterior. However, not necessarily. It depends on so many factors... But to give you some encouragement: we did come across cases of women whose babies turned anterior despite an anterior placenta... We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there 😘, we are afraid that's something we cannot comment on! Not only do we not know anything about your pregnancy case. Also, this is a situation that you need to discuss with a doctor in person. Therefore, we recommend getting a second opinion by another doctor! It's the only thing you can do! Bring all your documents and scans to the appointment! We are sorry that we cannot be a better help here... We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Can it be a problem if we do these excersises when we have a ROT baby position or can we still do them so the baby turns into the anterior position? Or is the ROT position already good for labour and we don‘t have to do any exercises? Just scsred that I will turn the baby into breech position when I do the exercises for the breech into head down position. Idk if thats even possible 😅 And can we do deep squads when the baby is in ROT position? Thanks in advance! You both are great! ☺️ Greetings from Austria 🫶🏽
Hi there 😊, first of all: it's great to meet fellow Austrians on our channel! Because we too are from Austria (but we live in London now)! 😁😁 Where are you from? Regarding your question: If your baby is in a right occiput posterior position, the first step should be to try turn baby into a head down position. In order to try that, we would normally do these exercises: th-cam.com/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/w-d-xo.html Unfortunately, a ROT position is not a good position for labor. So, ideally, your baby will turn head down AND face your back (instead of your front). If a baby has turned head down, but does not face the mother's back but her front instead, we would then normally do the things that we explain in this video: th-cam.com/video/wouG3-qVAho/w-d-xo.html And only once baby is facing the mother's back would we then try to engage the baby: th-cam.com/video/A8_JTWASGHw/w-d-xo.html We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby and greetings to Austria!! ❤️
@@CareAboutLittleOnes Hey there, thank you for the quick reply! I guessed that you are/were from Austria too, cuz of the accent, which I find great by the way! My baby is head down and in the ROT (right occiput transverse) position. And I am currently week 34. what exercises can I do so she turns to the back position. My gynecologist said that thats a „good“ position and during labor she will turn to the back position. But can I do any exercises so she turns to the back position before labor so once labor has started it doesn‘t take longer. I am just scared of when I do the wrong exercises she will go back to breech position 😅 so I don‘t want to do anything wrong hahah which exercises can help to turn the baby from ROT (Right Occiput Transverse) to ROA (Right Occiput Anterior) ☺️ like I said am scared to turn her into ROP (Right Occiput posterior) or breech position. Like I said right now she is ROT and head down. Greetings back. I am from Vienna 🫶🏽
@@semanuraltintas5257 Hi there again 😊, now we got it! Sorry for our last reply! Please ignore it! We had a "Denkfehler"! (We came home late last night)! 😅 We thought your baby was indeed transverse when in fact, of course, only your baby's head is transverse... Look, if your baby is in a right occiput transverse position (ROT), we would really not worry! Such babies almost always more into a better position during labor. Do you know, if your baby was in an occiput posterior position (i.e. facing your front) before the ROT position? If so, it is even better news because it shows you that your baby is already turning into a back-facing position. The tips and tricks that we show in this video th-cam.com/video/wouG3-qVAho/w-d-xo.html can help. What can also help is a good sitting position: th-cam.com/video/K5uxfr0YJ_E/w-d-xo.html (don't worry, it will not induce labor at this stage of your pregnancy) On other hand, we would not do the exercises from our breech baby turning video in case you were thinking about that... Regarding your concerns: The problem is that IN THEORY a baby can always go back into a breech presentation. Some babies just move around a lot. But it is not related to anything you do or don't do... It just happens. The idea of the things that we mention in the 2 videos above is that you provide your baby with more room in your womb. That will give your baby the opportunity to move into a better position for labor (i.e. occiput anterior - facing your back). However, keep in mind that it is still up to your baby to actually "make a decision" to move into a better position. All you can do is "keep the door open" for your baby... But again, ROT babies almost always move into a better position thanks to the contractions... So, please don't worry too much! We hope this helps! Again, sorry for our previous error! 😊 Greetings to beautiful Vienna!
@@CareAboutLittleOnes Hey there, no worries. I thank you so much, that you take your time and read so many comments and even answer them. Well I don‘t really know if the baby ever was facing the front. I went to do ultrasound when I was 27 weeks and she was already in the ROT position. And then last week 33 weeks she was still in the ROT position don‘t know if she was at the exact same rotation though or more facing the back. But I will try to think positive so she stays in a good position and doesn‘t turn back or else ☺️ Thanks for your replies this comforts me a lot! The first baby is always a little challenging :) Do you think I should/can do deep squads while the baby is in the ROT position or should I better not do them! You both are doing a great job and I really appreciate your time! Wish you the best! Greetings to London!
@@semanuraltintas5257 Hi there 😊, you are MOST WELCOME!! We are happy if our tips help you and comfort you (we know how challenging the first baby is)... And we are very grateful for your lovely feedback - much appreciated! 😘😘 Personally, we would not do deep squats at this stage because it is easier for the baby to move into a better position as long as baby is not engaged. And deep squats can make a baby engage in the pelvis... One thing that we often observe in cases of occiput posterior but also ROT/LOT babies is that there is an extended pre-labor phase in which the mother experiences on and off contractions. Although annoying, those initial contractions can often help the baby move into a better position. And once that has been accomplished, true labor contractions start... However, since your baby is "only" ROT and not occiput posterior, that extended phase should not take too long.... Of course, it could also take a completely different route. Unfortunately, every pregnancy is different. However, in general, ROT or LOT babies are really not a concern. 😊 We hope this helps! We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤
Currently I am 32 weeks. My baby is breech on today scan. What I have to do for baby head down. I tried all the breech exercises for last few weeks. Still my baby is breech. Please help me. What I have to. My placenta is posterior and facing my back. My fluid level is 12.
Hi there 😘, please note that sometimes, there are circumstances under which a baby just cannot turn. Maybe the placenta is in your baby's way. Maybe the fluid level is too low. There can also be x other reasons. It is really very difficult to say why a baby does not turn. Did you also try moxibustion? Or did you only just do the exercises?
I am 36 and after my scan I was told the baby is in a cephalic position facing my back,so when I lie on my left or right, the baby's back is also to the left or right side, and the kicks are usually felt either to my right or left side with a hard noche a little above my neaval, which I was told to be the niece I feel when the baby moves, can i start some of your exercise to get baby engaged now or I should wait?
Hi there 😊, yes, if there are no medical reasons why you cannot do the exercises that we show you, then you can certainly try them! In fact, week 36 is the perfect time to help a baby engage! GOOD LUCK and ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
@@empressasaga6686 Hi there! 😊 We are not sure if we understood what you tried to say. But if your placenta is anterior, it just means that it has attached at the front of your uterus. This is normally not a problem at all unless it prevents a baby from turning or engaging. But we would not worry about that too much. It would be more of a problem if it would be low because then, it could partly cover the "exit" 😊 We hope this helps!

Hi, I'm from India. I'm currently 33+4 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. My question is with my 1st baby the 35+4 weeks ultrasound said my baby is in cephalic presentation and even I used to feel kicks under my ribs. However just after a week during delivery the baby position according to doctor was head down posterior. I anyway ended up with a c- sec due to fetal distress. I'm concerned about 2nd baby's position, even this time the 33 week ultrasound says cephalic presentation and i could feels kicks under my ribs. Please guide me as to how do i ensure my baby is in occiput anterior so that i can start baby engagement exercises.. I'm avoiding all positions (reclining etc) from the very beginning which i had no idea about during my 1st pregnancy.. pls guide me if i could start baby engaging exercises as I'm planning for a vbac.
Hi there 😘, in general, please note that there is no way to prevent your baby from moving into a posterior position. However, we must say that it really does not happen often that baby is anterior and then moves into an posterior position. So, if baby is head down and anterior right now, it can also engage in the pelvis. We have a video about that: th-cam.com/video/A8_JTWASGHw/w-d-xo.html We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
@@CareAboutLittleOnesThank you for your reply. ❤ Even I'm confused whether my 1st born was always head down but posterior, if so then how did i feel kicks under my ribs (very strong).. so im assuming may be my positions might have caused the baby to turn posterior as my favourite position was reclining as i was having extreme back pain during 1st pregnancy (i wasn't aware about either baby position or maternal position that could influence baby positioning in womb ) . However in this pregnancy i have learnt from my past mistakes hence i make sure not to repeat them.
Also the kicks till now are only aimed at left rib... And the bulge shifts from left side of belly button to right and vice Versa as i change my position.also the hiccups are felt low in abdomen. Though I'm very sure the baby is head down I'm worried about whether its anterior or posterior. I want to try my best for a vbac however my doc has said she won't go for induction hence i have to work towards having a natural labour or go for a c-sec again.
@@husnafirdose9687 Okay. Please watch this video: th-cam.com/users/shorts1eEHblQhYUw?feature=share Maybe it will help you find out if your baby is posterior or anterior? But of course, the BEST thing would be an ultrasound exam. Is this an option where you live?
Hi there Carolina 😊, please don't be discouraged just yet! On average, a pregnancy lasts between 38 and 42 weeks. Everything within that range is considered "normal". That said, there ARE things which have helped other women in similar situations: 1. Nipple stimulation (just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes per day) 2. Reflexology (same as nipple stimulation: it may not be done with a few minutes per day only) 3. Acupuncture (acupuncture itself cannot induce labor; however, it can help in cases when a woman cannot go into labor because of high stress levels because acupuncture can really bring your stress levels down. So if you are really stressed, acupuncture could help) 4. Exercises on a birthing ball Of course, there is also Castor oil. However, personally, we always treat Castor oil as last resort simply because of the side effects. Also, you can never be sure if it is going to work... Still, it CAN be super effective for labor induction. Just discuss with your doctor first, if Castor oil is the right tool in your particular case... We talk more about these tools and also how to apply them in these 2 videos: th-cam.com/video/8rehbupwhzY/w-d-xo.html (reflexology, nipple stimulation, Castor oil) th-cam.com/video/UgrbOc4cebY/w-d-xo.html (birth ball exercises) Moreover, please also try to relax as good as possible! We know, that's not a simple task right now. But please try not to put too much pressure on yourself because this would just cause a lot of stress! And stress COULD prevent you from going into labor. So please, try to find ways to relax (meditation, yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, a back massage - whatever you find most relaxing!). Finally, keep in mind that things can sometimes go really fast. A woman may not see any signs of labor whatsoever. And then a moment later, she is in labor and a few hours later her baby is born (we have seen many such cases). So, don't give up!! Trust that everything will be okay and that your body knows exactly what it is doing!! We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️

I'm confused.. what is the difference between posterior baby and posterior placenta.. posterior baby longer and painful labor.. and posterior placenta??
Hi there 😊, posterior baby means that baby is facing your front instead of your back. And this can lead to a more painful labor because baby is not in an optional position for labor. Posterior placenta means that your placenta has attached at the back of your uterus (normally it attaches at the top of the uterus). However, normally, there are no disadvantages from that and you can still have a normal vaginal delivery. Plus, it is normally not more painful... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

@@marysabatini Hi there! It's hard to give good advice here because we don't know your case. Only your doctor knows it. However, in general, our personal opinion is that if there are no medical reasons for a C-section, then there is absolutely no reason not to wait. It is absolutely possible that babies turn into an anterior position at 37 weeks. They do it all the time. In fact, many of them only turn DURING labor. And those women still have a natural vaginal delivery. Also, some babies only engage AFTER labor has started. That too is not necessarily a reason to worry. Most importantly though, it is not up to a doctor to make a decision for other people. Only YOU make the decisions! Your doctor has the job to advise you based on your specific case. Based on that information, you then make your decision. Whether or not your doctor is happy about it or not, is completely irrelevant. Again, YOU make the decisions. So, if you have the feeling that your doctor is trying to press for a C-section without there being good medical reasons, we recommend getting a second opinion from another doctor... Again, this is only just our personal opinion. You should always discuss your options with a qualified healthcare provider! We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤
Hi there 😊, the best thing to do is to lean back and relax! Your body knows what it is doing! Let it do its job! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there 😊, it is really very difficult to say that in general because it is different from baby to baby. Most babies have probably turned head down by week 30. However, there are also babies who only turn MUCH later. Some even turn as late as week 40. So, it is really up to the baby when is the best time to turn. There is no "general rule"... That said, keep in mind that there are lots of things to support this process: As long as a woman is less than 34 weeks pregnant, we have found that an exercise called "pelvic rocking" on a birthing ball is the most effective tool to turn a breech baby. We explain how it works in this video (actually, everything that we explain in this video could help): th-cam.com/video/X3sOObqZHrY/w-d-xo.html And then once a woman is 34+ weeks pregnant, we have found that "moxibustion" in combination with breech baby turning exercises is more effective to turn a baby. Hello mam i am on my 37th week ..!my dr said that my baby was in head down position and lying on his left side..! she said the baby's position by just pressing my belly without an ultrasound..! Is this an optimal position..?
Hi there 😊, it's difficult to say because we don't know exactly what she means by "lying on his left side". However, generally speaking, it is very normal for a baby to lie either a bit more on the left or right side of your tummy. There is just more room. If your baby is head down, that's perfect. Now, we also want baby to face your back instead of your front. But this is possible, no matter if your baby lies more on his left or right side... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi am 38weeks pregnant and last week I did scan and I was told my baby is in cephalic position and still posterior does it means I can't deliver normal?
Hi there Nancy 😊, don't worry! The most important thing is that your baby is head down (i.e. cephalic). Posterior only means that baby is not in the optimal position for labor, but you can still have a normal delivery. That said, the things that we show in this video COULD support your baby turn into the right position... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
My baby is posterior head down, I'm 40 weeks plus 5 days😢 i am scared, my cervix is closed and hard. I tried all tips to soften my cervix, it didn't work. I don't want to be induced. I am walking constantly and sitting leaning forward. I am also exercising on a birth ball. But baby doesn't change position. I am thinking positively, but obviously they will want to induce labor soon. It's my first baby and everything is fine health wise. I'd like to wait till natural labour starts on it's own.
Hi there Marika 😘, that's a very interesting case! Let us ask you this: how did they come up with the EDD? Is it based on an ultrasound exam in or before week 12? Or is it based on the LMP approach?
@@CareAboutLittleOnes it's based on my 1st day of my last period and the length of my cycle and the approximate day of conception. And of course of many ultrasounds, my gynecologist did ultrasound each visit. My mother had my brother and me overdue 14 days but naturally..
@@marikamariamagdalenam Okay. The reason we are asking is that EDDs which are based on your last period and length of cycle may be quite inaccurate. Hi there 😘, unfortunately, it is very difficult to say if it will help or not! Hi there 😊, we totally understand that you are scared if you get such confusing information! So, first of all, you have to understand that "posterior" means that baby is facing your front. However, for labor, we actually want the baby to be in an anterior position so that baby faces your back. "Oblique" means that baby is head down, but baby's head is not laying "nicely" over your pelvis. However, from all "adverse" and breech positions, oblique is normally the least to worry about. So, now the question is: which version is true? Is your baby anterior or posterior? To us, it very much sounds like your baby was posterior during the first scan. But then baby turned into an anterior position before the second scan. Therefore, the results were not the same. If you want clarity, all you can do is get yet another opinion! Go to a third OB and get another ultrasound. Alternatively, stick with the OB of the second ultrasound! We find it a bit "suspicious" that your first OB was "not able to explain". We would expect that they immediately do another scan to confirm the results of the ultrasound exam by that other OB... But that's just our opinion... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
The two scans I did where elsewhere not with my ob I had to opt for 2 scan at two entirely different places and people And they both told me I was anterior and that the gynecologist who checked me was probably wrong and it was the same day Okay let me make u understand better I went for my appointment in the morning and my doctor brought in a gynecologist I’ve never seen before who checked me and said my baby was lying in an occipito posterior position I’m a medical student and I kinda know a thing or two about it and I went to do two different untrasound later that day at two different places just to be clear because I feel my baby’s back so hard on my belly button Then I later called her that evening and she said the baby has a face of brow presentation or something She’s really getting me confused And she said I have to get a C-section And I don’t want a C-section Do I change hospitals before she kills me with her lack of expertise because I don’t want to risk my life
In fact according to my previous untrasound when I was 38 weeks , it said my baby was anterior To cut it short my baby moved to anterior at the end of my 37 week and I even felt it and knew even by watching ur videos
@@ellareei Okay, thanks for the clarification! Well in that case, it really seems that your baby is anterior now... Still, we would expect that you get another scan by the person who proposed a C-section, given the fact that she DOES propose a C-section. As a medical student, you know that a C-section is a major surgery that does not come without risks. Besides, please also keep in mind that a posterior position is by no means a reason for a C-section. Therefore, you may indeed wanna change the hospital....?
Hi i have a question. At 36 weeks my ultrasound report showed that the baby is cephalic (actually cephalic from 32 weeks)but not engaged.. But now at 37 weeks i don't know why but i feel like my baby is transverse .. so i want to ask that is it possible for baby to turn transverse from cephalic at 37 weeks??
Hi there 😊, yes, this is absolutely possible! Of course, after week 36, it is more difficult to turn a baby. Still, we do it regularly (even at later stages of a pregnancy). In the following video, we explain exactly what we do: th-cam.com/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/w-d-xo.html We hope it will help you too! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

I have severe backache and willl be induced after 10 days and i want short labour which is only possible in OA position as i have excercised a lot during preg and was really acive... Help me
Hi pls I really hope you reply I’m 32 wks and my scan says it’s cephalic presentation and longitudinal lie . And it also says anterior placenta noted Pls should I be worried about anything and is the baby in a goof position already
Hi there 😊, you have absolutely nothing to worry about: cephalic presentation and longitudinal lie mean that baby's is in a good position! 😊 Anterior placenta just means that the placenta is attached to the front wall of the uterus. And that's fine too! No worries there either! Lean back and relax mommy! It's all good! 🥰 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there 😘, please note that between 10 and 34% of babies are OP when labor starts (depending on which study you look at). However, most of them turn during labor so that only some 5-8% of them are still OP when the pushing phase starts. So, as LeilaniMarie1 already said: try not to worry too much! You can still have a normal delivery! In the meantime, try what we teach in this video (the one you commented on) and we also recommend doing this: th-cam.com/video/K5uxfr0YJ_E/w-d-xo.html We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
@@LeilaniMarie1 i know this may sound ignorant but how do you do the hip dips? I’m currently 39 weeks and although I shouldn’t worry too much I can’t help it. Baby is currently OP confirmed by an ultrasound I had today
Hi there 😊, please note that you can normally still have a normal delivery in that case... Your contractions will take care of it.... Hi during 32 weeks pregnancy, scan results showed cephalic position and anterior position .is it a good position for normal delivery ? Also now I'm 38 weeks pregnant , not sure if the cephalic position continues. Will the baby change his position again ? Also for the first time I found trace of albumin in urine. And my feet is swelling. Bp is around 122/85 ? Will there be any complications further ? My doctor told me to wait till 39 weeks and give a visit to her. She didn't tell me any other details .
Hi there 😊, first of all, a cephalic and anterior position are actually the PERFECT position for labor. So that's great. It is true that sometimes, babies do turn into a not so optimal position later. However, it is very rare. Plus, they normally still end up in the right position eventually... Regarding your other values! It is unclear if this will cause any complications. It depends how they develop. All you can do is keep observing your values. So, all you can do really is wait for your doctor's appointment. But we wouldn't worry just yet. At the moment, there is no reason to... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi I'm blessed with baby boy. Normal delivery. But I had to sustain the labour pains for more than 24hours ... Thanku both for your suggestions. Many of my doubts were clarified through your videos. And made me ready for labour. Thanks a ton 😊
@@swapnapriya3995 That's GREAT to hear!! 😊 CONGRATULATIONS on your baby boy from the 2 of us!!! 🥳🥳🥳 We are sorry to hear though that your labor took so long... 😬😬😬 But we are super happy to hear that our videos helped you through your pregnancy!! 😊
Hi there 😊, unfortunately, some babies just love to move around all the time! It is just what they do until they finally settle in a comfortable position. However, normally, there is no reason for you to be worried about that. 95% of all babies DO end up in the correct position eventually... So, all you can do really is do the things from the video. And from week 35/36 onwards, make sure that you provide your baby with as much room as possible to end up in the right position. You can do that with the help of a good sitting position (th-cam.com/video/K5uxfr0YJ_E/w-d-xo.html) and sleeping position (th-cam.com/video/kwTdPSuYzJ0/w-d-xo.html) We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
My scan report at 23 weeks says placenta fundal posterior and foetal spine right anterior...plz... tell me is it good position for normal delivery... nw I'm 28 weeks pregnt.
Hi there 😊, first of all, please note that week 28 is too early to be concerned about your baby's position. 😊 If your baby is still in the same position as in week 23, then your baby IS in a good position for labor. However, please keep in mind that babies move around a lot. And it is very likely that your baby is going to change the position several times as you are getting closer to your due date. But please don't worry! Eventually, most babies end up in the right position! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there 😊, this is totally normal and nothing to worry about. Your breasts are preparing for a hungry little baby. On top of that, at the end of your pregnancy, your body starts producing Oxytocin. This can make your milk flow... We hope this helps! 😊
i am 38 weeks and 5 days pregnant. my ultrasound result baby is in cephalic positon and baby spine is maternal left. what does it means and can i still have normal delivery? thanks
Hi there 😊, cephalic position means that your baby is in a head down position. Baby spine is maternal left NORMALLY means that baby's back is towards the left side of your tummy (i.e. facing your back). This means that baby is in a good position for labor. So yes, you can absolutely have a normal delivery unless there are medical reasons why you cannot. But this is something your doctor would tell you... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there 😊, please do not be worried just yet! In the majority of all OP cases, the baby will turn before the delivery. Only a fraction of OP babies are still OP when they are being delivered... There are lots of things you can do NOW (before labor starts), for example, the things we explain in this video. On top of that, there are also things you can do DURING labor to get baby into a better position! So, as we said: please do not be worried just yet! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there 😊, first of all, don't worry! 20 weeks is still early days!! You can worry about a breech presentation once you are 35+ weeks pregnant. 😊 We have found that - as long as a woman is fewer than 34 weeks pregnant - an exercise called "pelvic rocking" on a birthing ball is the most effective tool to turn a breech baby. We explain how this approach works in this video: th-cam.com/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/w-d-xo.html We hope this helps! 😊 All the best for you and your baby!! ❤️

my 32 weeks scan report shows head in lower pole (cephalic presentation) ...
Fetal spine to right side and posterior and breech in the right upper pole in present moment...
What is the meaning of this mam?
Does this mean posterior baby?
@@krishgocool2478 Hi there! We left a reply below your other comment! 😊
@@CareAboutLittleOnes TQ so much mam
But we are happy to hear that, at least, your second one went easier!

Hi there,
normally, we don't worry too much about an oblique presentation! In our experience, those babies almost always end up in a good position for labor...
The fact that baby's spine is towards your belly is actually great (particularly if baby is also cephalic at this point), because that is what you need: you want your baby head down and facing your back!
That said, there are a few ways to support an oblique baby find a better position:
First, everything that we show in this video (the one you commented on).
Second, a good sitting position to provide the baby with more room in the womb (th-cam.com/video/K5uxfr0YJ_E/w-d-xo.html)
Third, a good sleeping position with the same goal: provide more room for the baby (th-cam.com/video/kwTdPSuYzJ0/w-d-xo.html).
Finally, please keep in mind that some babies only move into a better position for labor once labor has started. But the result is the same...
We hope this helps! 😊
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Baby was perfect position until 38.5 weeks. Been trying this past week to turn him from posterior; been doing all of this with no avail
😫😫
We know: some babies just love to move around a lot.
Baby is rot, doc says baby will rotate during labor. Can I start head engaging exercises ?
How can I turn the baby to anterior from posterior if the baby is engaged.I am 37 weeks now.Your videos are super helpful.
Hi there 😊,
thanks so much for your lovely feedback! 😘
What we normally do in such cases is help the baby dis-engage from the mother's pelvis with certain exercises (the forward leaning inversion that we show in this video is one of them: th-cam.com/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/w-d-xo.html), before we then try exercises to help the baby turn anterior and then exercises to re-engage.
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hi there 😘,
it is not easy to turn a baby in that case... But you have basically come to the right video.

Hi there 😊,
this basically means that your baby's back (fetal spine) is on your left side anteriorly (i.e. in the front). In simple words: your baby is facing your back and your baby's back is mostly on your left side (which is fine because almost no baby lies in the womb perfectly straight).
A head-down, back-facing position is the ideal position for a normal delivery. 😊
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
My baby is in a posterior position. I had two other children in this same position and had very long and painful labour. I have tried everything this time to engage my baby in the right position but all in vain. I am 36 weeks pregnant. Is there anything I can do?
Hi there 😊,
back then, did your doctors tell you that there is any particular reason for your babies to be in a posterior position? There can be so many reasons, like uterine fibroids, or the shape of your pelvis or even the shape of your uterus... Maybe there is a good reason why your babies just cannot rotate into a better position?
That said, all we can tell you is to try the things that we show in this video. If these do not work, then we are not aware of what else might work...
We hope these exercises will help you! 😊

How soon can I start birth ball? I am 24 weeks currently
Hi there 😊,
a birth ball can basically be used throughout the pregnancy. The question is rather: which exercises are you allowed to do with the birth ball. It's best to check with your OB which exercises they recommend in your particular case at 24 weeks...

@@anushag2551 You are most welcome! 😊
They say that baby's spine is anterior (i.e. in the front of your tummy). So this means that your baby is facing your back - just as we want it to be. 😊
Actually, they say "left anterior". But that's okay. It just means that baby's back is slightly on the left side.
Babies almost never lie perfectly straight in the womb (from the point of view of your tummy). Their back tends to be more on the left or right side 😊

Hi there Joyce 😘,
first of all, please note that some babies only turn very late!
You can find it here: th-cam.com/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/w-d-xo.html
As for the "final" decision: please note that THEY don't make the decisions! YOU make the decisions! Their job is to inform you about the risks and benefits of a natural delivery as well as a C-section. And then YOU make a decision on how you want to proceed and when. Please always keep that in mind!

I'm 36 weeks now ..in 34 week scan it shows baby is cephalic and spine towards mother's left. What does this position means .waiting for your reply. I love watching your vdeos its very informative😊..
Hi there 😊,
this is good news! Your baby has turned head down! 😊
The only thing we are not sure about is the sentence "spine towards mother's left".

TIA

first of all, many thanks for your feedback!! We really appreciate it and are very happy to hear that you find our content helpful!! 😊
Regarding your question:
The 2 most effective things that can help engage a baby are squats and pelvic rocking on a birth ball. That said, when it comes to squats, it is important that it's deep squats. Only deep squats have the potential to push the baby further down and engage them. (I think, we have to do a video on this at some point...)
As for pelvic rocking, you said that you already do the exercises that we suggest (rocking back and forth and sideways, moving in circles, figure 8 etc.). So that's great! 😊
Now, with that said: please keep in mind that some babies only just engage very late.
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
@@CareAboutLittleOnes thank you so much for the timely response😊. By deep squatting do you mean malasana yoga pose?

How early in the third trimester should I follow these instructions? I’m 31 weeks currently and know the baby is head down, but am not sure which way.
Hi there 😊,
if your baby is head down, then, basically, the earlier you start with this, the better UNLESS your doctor does not approve, of course.
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Thank you so much . I did ultrasound some weeks later and o was told that I have an anterior planceta (does it mean my baby is going to be in a good position?) . Now I am 37 weeks how can i be show?
Hi there 😊,
no, not at all!

My baby is on the side way in tummy at 36 weeks and 3 days, can you please tell me what i have to do to move baby in the pelvis?
Hi there 😊,
we are not 100% sure if we understood what you mean. So, here is in general what you can do:
If a baby is breech (not in a head down position), we normally try the following exercises to help baby turn head down: th-cam.com/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/w-d-xo.html.
If your baby IS head down, but not in a good position for labor (for example, facing your front instead of your back), then we would normally try the exercises that you can find in the video, below which you left your comment.
And finally, if your baby IS in a good position for labor, but has not engaged in your pelvis, then the following could help: th-cam.com/video/A8_JTWASGHw/w-d-xo.html

we would really not worry too much about that! It is true that LOA has the reputation of being the best position for labor. However, you will feel the benefits of that mostly when you have a very narrow pelvis.

Hi there 😊,
ideally, baby moves into a more favorable position first before you try to engage baby's head. The reason is that ROT babies often turn into a posterior position during the beginning of labor (the same normally does not apply to LOT babies).
So, ideally, try to help baby into a better position first...

Thank you.
Hi there 😊,
actually, when your doctor mentions the word "posterior" while talking about your cervix, they mean that your cervix is posterior.
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Thank you so much for your reply. ❤
Thank you
@@itzagirl7559 Hi there 😘,
please do not worry about the position of your cervix at all! We have never had a case when a woman ended up in a CS because of the position of the cervix. Never.
The cervix normally moves forward in the pre-labor phase. However, it can also only just happen once your labor has started.
So, this is really something you should not be worried about! 😊

Hi there 😊,
as your pregnancy progresses, your uterus expands upwards - and so does your placenta. Therefore, a low-lying placenta initially is not necessarily a problem if it moves upwards eventually.
Moreover, a breech position in week 30 is really not a reason to worry. Your baby is 2.5 more months to turn! That's plenty of time! 😊
When exactly the stitches will be removed really depends on your case. Oftentimes, they remove it sometime in week 36. But again, it really depends on the case...
So, to sum up: at the moment, we really would not worry. Lots of things are gonna happen over the next 2.5 months.... 😊
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
My baby position is correct.. But not engaged till now.. I'm 39 weeks pregnant... I'm really worried😥.. Pls tell me ..
Hi there, 😊
first of all, please note that some babies only engage very late in a pregnancy.

Hi there 😘,
normally, a retroflexed uterus does not negatively affect a delivery in any way.

hi. my placenta is in posterior , they said it will be more longer in labor and pain.. But will it be possible that i can turn my baby into anterior while my placenta is in posterior.??
Hi there 😊,
great question!

Hi there 😊,
it's difficult to say because OBs all have their own way of making notes.

Hi there 😊
I assume you mean the exercises in this video th-cam.com/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/w-d-xo.html, right?

Hi there 😊,
first of all: it's great to meet fellow Austrians on our channel! Because we too are from Austria (but we live in London now)! 😁😁 Where are you from?
Regarding your question:
If your baby is in a right occiput posterior position, the first step should be to try turn baby into a head down position. In order to try that, we would normally do these exercises: th-cam.com/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/w-d-xo.html
Unfortunately, a ROT position is not a good position for labor. So, ideally, your baby will turn head down AND face your back (instead of your front).

Hey there, thank you for the quick reply!
@@semanuraltintas5257 Hi there again 😊,
now we got it!
Sorry for our last reply! Please ignore it! We had a "Denkfehler"! (We came home late last night)! 😅
We thought your baby was indeed transverse when in fact, of course, only your baby's head is transverse...
What can also help is a good sitting position: th-cam.com/video/K5uxfr0YJ_E/w-d-xo.html (don't worry, it will not induce labor at this stage of your pregnancy)
On other hand, we would not do the exercises from our breech baby turning video in case you were thinking about that...
Regarding your concerns:
The problem is that IN THEORY a baby can always go back into a breech presentation.
Greetings to beautiful Vienna!

Hey there, no worries.
But I will try to think positive so she stays in a good position and doesn‘t turn back or else ☺️
Thanks for your replies this comforts me a lot! The first baby is always a little challenging :)
Do you think I should/can do deep squads while the baby is in the ROT position or should I better not do them!
You both are doing a great job and I really appreciate your time! Wish you the best!

@@semanuraltintas5257 Hi there 😊,
you are MOST WELCOME!! We are happy if our tips help you and comfort you (we know how challenging the first baby is)... And we are very grateful for your lovely feedback - much appreciated! 😘😘
Personally, we would not do deep squats at this stage because it is easier for the baby to move into a better position as long as baby is not engaged.
We hope this helps!
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤

@@empressasaga6686 Hi there! 😊
We are not sure if we understood what you tried to say.
But if your placenta is anterior, it just means that it has attached at the front of your uterus. This is normally not a problem at all unless it prevents a baby from turning or engaging. But we would not worry about that too much.
It would be more of a problem if it would be low because then, it could partly cover the "exit" 😊
We hope this helps!

Hi there 😘,
in general, please note that there is no way to prevent your baby from moving into a posterior position. However, we must say that it really does not happen often that baby is anterior and then moves into an posterior position.
So, if baby is head down and anterior right now, it can also engage in the pelvis. We have a video about that: th-cam.com/video/A8_JTWASGHw/w-d-xo.html
We hope this helps! 😊

Hi there Carolina 😊,
please don't be discouraged just yet! On average, a pregnancy lasts between 38 and 42 weeks. Everything within that range is considered "normal".
That said, there ARE things which have helped other women in similar situations:
1. Nipple stimulation (just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes per day)
2. Reflexology (same as nipple stimulation: it may not be done with a few minutes per day only)
3. Acupuncture (acupuncture itself cannot induce labor; however, it can help in cases when a woman cannot go into labor because of high stress levels because acupuncture can really bring your stress levels down. So if you are really stressed, acupuncture could help)
4. Exercises on a birthing ball
Of course, there is also Castor oil. However, personally, we always treat Castor oil as last resort simply because of the side effects. Also, you can never be sure if it is going to work... Still, it CAN be super effective for labor induction. Just discuss with your doctor first, if Castor oil is the right tool in your particular case...
We talk more about these tools and also how to apply them in these 2 videos: th-cam.com/video/8rehbupwhzY/w-d-xo.html (reflexology, nipple stimulation, Castor oil)
th-cam.com/video/UgrbOc4cebY/w-d-xo.html (birth ball exercises)
Moreover, please also try to relax as good as possible!

I'm confused.. what is the difference between posterior baby and posterior placenta.. posterior baby longer and painful labor.. and posterior placenta??
Hi there 😊,
posterior baby means that baby is facing your front instead of your back.
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!!

When is the right time the baby is sapos to turn his head down?
Hi there 😊,
it is really very difficult to say that in general because it is different from baby to baby. Most babies have probably turned head down by week 30. However, there are also babies who only turn MUCH later. Some even turn as late as week 40. So, it is really up to the baby when is the best time to turn. There is no "general rule"...
That said, keep in mind that there are lots of things to support this process:
As long as a woman is less than 34 weeks pregnant, we have found that an exercise called "pelvic rocking" on a birthing ball is the most effective tool to turn a breech baby. We explain how it works in this video (actually, everything that we explain in this video could help): th-cam.com/video/X3sOObqZHrY/w-d-xo.html
And then once a woman is 34+ weeks pregnant, we have found that "moxibustion" in combination with breech baby turning exercises is more effective to turn a baby. We explain how this approach works in this video: th-cam.com/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/w-d-xo.html

Hello mam i am on my 37th week ..!my dr said that my baby was in head down position and lying on his left side..! she said the baby's position by just pressing my belly without an ultrasound..! Is this an optimal position..?
Hi there 😊,
it's difficult to say because we don't know exactly what she means by "lying on his left side".
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi am 38weeks pregnant and last week I did scan and I was told my baby is in cephalic position and still posterior does it means I can't deliver normal?
Hi there Nancy 😊,
don't worry! The most important thing is that your baby is head down (i.e. cephalic). Posterior only means that baby is not in the optimal position for labor, but you can still have a normal delivery.
That said, the things that we show in this video COULD support your baby turn into the right position...
We hope this helps! 😊

Hello... what ended up happening??
My baby is posterior head down, I'm 40 weeks plus 5 days😢 i am scared, my cervix is closed and hard. I tried all tips to soften my cervix, it didn't work. I don't want to be induced. I am walking constantly and sitting leaning forward. I am also exercising on a birth ball. But baby doesn't change position. I am thinking positively, but obviously they will want to induce labor soon. It's my first baby and everything is fine health wise. I'd like to wait till natural labour starts on it's own.
Hi there Marika 😘,
that's a very interesting case!
The most reliable date is being produced by an ultrasound in or before week 12.
Have you been given such a date? And if so, does it deviate from the one you currently have?
@@CareAboutLittleOnes it was the same date actually. Yesterday my water broke. I am since in the hospital. All night long I had contractions in-between 7 and 9 minutes and in the morning they stopped. I was walking, going up stairs.. almost no effect. unfortunately, it is very difficult to say if it will help or not! It is a question of so many factors: the amount of amniotic fluid left in your womb, the position of the placenta, the size of the baby etc... So many variables... 🤯

I’m 39 weeks and I’m scared
My ob examined me trans abdominally and said my baby is in an occipital posterior position and I didn’t know what that meant , I cried
She also said my baby is oblique or something
And when i get into labour I should report to the hospital for immediate intervention or else a c-section will be required
She said it causes back pain and I told her I don’t have any back pain at all
So I went for two ultrasound and they both said my baby is longitudinal and anterior and face is facing my sacrum which is opposite of what my ob said
I’ve been so scared since then
I sent a picture to her asking what she actually meant , she couldn’t explain
Saying my baby’s face is facing my cervix
Please is it possible for my baby’s face to face my cervix while in an anterior position
Please I need an answer I’m so scared 😭😭😭😭
Hi there 😊,
we totally understand that you are scared if you get such confusing information!
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
The two scans I did where elsewhere not with my ob
I had to opt for 2 scan at two entirely different places and people
And they both told me I was anterior and that the gynecologist who checked me was probably wrong and it was the same day
Okay let me make u understand better
I went for my appointment in the morning and my doctor brought in a gynecologist I’ve never seen before who checked me and said my baby was lying in an occipito posterior position
I’m a medical student and I kinda know a thing or two about it and I went to do two different untrasound later that day at two different places just to be clear because I feel my baby’s back so hard on my belly button
Then I later called her that evening and she said the baby has a face of brow presentation or something
She’s really getting me confused
And she said I have to get a C-section
And I don’t want a C-section
Do I change hospitals before she kills me with her lack of expertise because I don’t want to risk my life
In fact according to my previous untrasound when I was 38 weeks , it said my baby was anterior
To cut it short my baby moved to anterior at the end of my 37 week and I even felt it and knew even by watching ur videos

My doctor told me to wait till 39 weeks and give a visit to her. She didn't tell me any other details .
Hi there 😊,
first of all, a cephalic and anterior position are actually the PERFECT position for labor.
At the moment, there is no reason to...

unfortunately, some babies just love to move around all the time!
You can do that with the help of a good sitting position (th-cam.com/video/K5uxfr0YJ_E/w-d-xo.html) and sleeping position (th-cam.com/video/kwTdPSuYzJ0/w-d-xo.html)

first of all, please note that week 28 is too early to be concerned about your baby's position. 😊
If your baby is still in the same position as in week 23, then your baby IS in a good position for labor. However, please keep in mind that babies move around a lot. And it is very likely that your baby is going to change the position several times as you are getting closer to your due date.

Why breast milk started flowing before the delivery??

this is totally normal and nothing to worry about. Your breasts are preparing for a hungry little baby. On top of that, at the end of your pregnancy, your body starts producing Oxytocin. This can make your milk flow...

i am 38 weeks and 5 days pregnant. my ultrasound result baby is in cephalic positon and baby spine is maternal left. what does it means and can i still have normal delivery? thanks
Hi there 😊,
cephalic position means that your baby is in a head down position.

And then once a woman is 34+ weeks pregnant, we have found that "moxibustion" in combination with breech baby turning exercises is more effective to turn a baby. We explain how this approach works in this video: th-cam.com/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/w-d-xo.html
We hope this helps! 😊

Hi there 😊,
the exercises are basically the same as when a baby is in an occiput posterior position. We have recorded a video on this topic. You can find it here: th-cam.com/video/wouG3-qVAho/w-d-xo.html
We hope this helps! 😊
