    You were made for teaching English. You’re awesome. I can understand your speaking perfectly without subtitles and your explanations about anything are crystal clear. You motivates me to keep on so one day I will understand those who speak really fast 😅. I wish you the best. ❤

    I think there isn't shortcut to understand connected speech in short time. I watched movies with english subtitles to get idea what they are saying and had to keep watching like that two years. Then it becomes easier to understand without subtitles

    Hi Jennifer! Thanks heaps for the good tips! Shortened words are the ones I need more practice with.

      Yesterday on TV I heard the character shorten "professional" to "profesh" and "social" to "sosh". I was laughing so hard thinking about my poor students trying to understand!

    Hi Jennifer, how's it going ?.
    Even though they're pronounced the same, they're not written the same way, I'm referring to ;
    - you are = you're (with contraction).
    but in the screen it says "YOUR". Just in case you didn't notice.

    Hello, Jennifer😊 Thank you so much for the helpful tips for listening skill. I know it's for lack of vocabulary that I often find it difficult to catch what native speakers say. I'd love to boost my vocabulary through your videos more than ever👍

    To me, being able to understand fast English is the most important thing.
    The day you can understand Eminem and ebonics-which I can't BTW 😂-, you can consider that you can cope in English.
    So many can's in my comment 🤔🤔

    if we use this shorten or linked speech in ielts speaking test , can we get high score ? can you answer my question?

    • @JForrestEnglish
      @JForrestEnglish  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wouldn't recommend shortened, because many shortened words are not official words, so it's informal. But linking will help you sound very natural...if you do it correctly! So only do it if you feel confident with it :)
