There's no problem with the key or battery. I own one like this and what happens is that it work only very close to the car. Further, looks like it has 3 distance functions, 20mts open/close the car, 5mts open/close the rooftop, 1mt open and close the window. Actually no problem neither with the key and nor with the battery. Remember this is a 2007 model. Whatch this other one

i own this exact car but with SADDLE colored interior.. and if im not mistaken, u can walk around when u start opening the top by remote.. ive seen one guy on youtube press and release and the top opened but have not tried that yet myself. but standing in one spot, i can open and close my top all day.. Some how the car knows if you are walking around..or the signal strentgh changes enough for the sensor to detect.

lucky hands nul If it has comfort access the battery can be changed on the keyfob. Charges in the key slot if not comfort access.
