Which is the exact reason why I bought an E93 instead of the 92.

Xandres e92 is defo a better looking coupe than the convertible with the roof up, The contour lines at the rear are better, I suppose it’s all swings and roundabouts lol They’re both beautiful to be fair
You can make a paste by mixing baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, gently rub it on the leather, and it will take out the black scuff marks. Thanks for the nice videos.
I love driving it whenever I am stressed about anything. I work as a general surgery resident and it can get stressful real quick. I have the exact same car with the same interior and black outside!
I have a VW Eos hardtop convertible & I know the feeling. It may not be a BMW but driving w/ the top down really does make you feel like a million bucks. Thanks for the videos!! I just got a 328i 2011 convertible that I love so far, it's a huge upgrade from my Volvo C70 2002 convertible. It's great to hear your thoughts on the car, aspects I haven't considered (I never thought about putting down the roof to clean LOL), and what to look for or be aware of.
I'm right with you Christian. Ain't nothing like driving a 335i Msport E93 convertible sitting on custom wheels and the top is dropped riding down the west coast freeway s. Simply amazing!

Always like your videos because I can understand you. I have a silver 328i & black leather. It is a convertible and love it. Windows up, super quiet. Down almost like having the top down. Top down, I am in heaven. Feels like I am in Europe instead of Michigan. This is my 4th 3 series. Had 525 and a 633CSI. All manual trans.

My 2013 328i HT convertible only has 65,140 miles on the odo, that is just broken in for a BMW, yet it books for private sale at about $12k, that is a steal for a a car with pretty much perfect original interior. 7years ago new it was about $56,000 and I thought it was worth every penny then. You are really right about the soothing feel of just getting in the car with top down and heading out to drive for a while, cheaper than a therapist, more evective than drugs, safer than alcohol. By the way your paint choice is actually growing on me.
Hi, love the information on your vids. I found you as I was doing some research on this car. I already saw the vid about the downside of owning the convertible but am convinced that I need the convertible. I'm looking at 325d or above, is the mileage being high a problem or is there any other points I should keep in mind.

I have a pearl white on red 2013 335is E93 with M sport package. I added KW coil overs and fatter tires on the stock 19s, a Hamman black trunk spoiler and M3 OEM mirrors. I got a chip to give me an extra 70 horses and let me tell you it zooms. I get lots of looks and compliments on this car. It's mostly OEM but subtle upgrades to my liking. I found it in Florida with 27k miles and had to get it to the OC. Great videos and very informative. Love my E93.

Couldn't agree more about cruising with the top down. Its like a therapy for me. I have a pituitary tumour which plays havoc with my hormones and my mood. I can wake up crying then into hysterical laughter sometimes I can spend the whole day going between depressed then happy but driving my bmw with the roof down(I have 2 verts A 2004 e46 325i m and 08 e93 320i m)
Takes away all my anxiety and gives me a rush of feelgood hormones that can keep me happy all day! I can feel the serotonin and dopamine being released around my body when I'm crusing on a warm summer night with top down. Not many things can beat the feeling. I'll always own at least 1 convertible car through life. For me personally it's not raining/thunder storms or freezing temps then I will drive with the roof down day or night.
Been wanting to get one for so long now, planning on it later this year.

As I was watching your video, and you got to Craigslist and the cost of one of these.... It dawned on me how inexpensive these are in Florida!
I am thinking two reasons,
1) Lots of them in Florida, so the market is flooded.
2) Because lots of people own them, and the weather is so nice, they get lots of miles quickly.
I live in Washington state, and to drive a convertible here is a 3-4 month proposition.
So, not as many available, and lower miles... So, maybe you should look for one in Washington state and pay a little more for less miles, and less maintenance and enjoy a wonderful road trip to sunny Florida!
That’s exactly my mindset. I’m kinda in the market for one now and it’s just better to get with low miles and fully enjoy. I wanted a Jeep to to the same thing with big tires but Jeep wranglers with low miles 4 doors are hella expensive.

Retired to Florida 2 years ago. Bought my first Bimmer, a 2016 228i convertible last week and am in love. My wife is not jealous because she loves as much as I do.
What I have noticed with these convertibles is that you shouldn't run the cars aggressive with the top down! I do own one and it's a great car! I do all my own maintenance and very few can outrun this car! Just make sure you don't run aggressive at all with top down! There is too much weight in the rear of car because all that hardware is in the trunk and throws the center of gravity off as well as just basically overloading the rear suspension! You will need to replace rear suspension if you hit any bumps dips or r.r. tracks at a rate other than slow........with the top down! Good luck be safe and have fun! These cars are truly amazing......fun to drive and so incredibly fast for a 5000lb car!
So basically it's not worth maxing the speed or even doing around 100/120+ ? Even on track is it worth it? If not I'll probs get the saloon version

One tip: If you carry stuff on the back pull the back seat down to avoid damaging them.

WD40 will remove the tyre rubber marks from your leather seats without any damage to the leather. It will however not only remove stains from leather but it conditions the leather and gives it back its luster.

Have you tried using “Leatherique” leather cleaner and conditioner for your seats? It is awesome and if it dosn’t take the “tire” marks out, it will definitely make you seats look better, it will get rid of the sheen and shine on your seats.

I love the interior color
Get leatherique rejuvinator oil and prestine clean. Its a process but well worth it. You apply oil and let it soak over night. next day apply the cleaner. If you want to go another step do the cleaner before and after the oil and buff out with a microfiber. I got it out of lemon colored leather in my e82, should be ok

Any idea where the blue Fuel Injector Relay is located on your car? I’ve look all over the web and and can’t locate it. It’s not in the CPU box under the hood - it’s somewhere else on convertibles.
There is good reason why to fold the back rest on the back seat to be able to load bigger items without risking to soil or scratch your leather seats.

They are great cars but you must lubricate the roof rubber with a thick lubricant. Otherwise don't complain when things go wrong.
Regarding the carbon fiber on, is it plastic or stickers?

Hey I've never owned a bmw and know nothing about them but recently got offered a 2005 645ci super clean has like 170k on it with a recently replaced motor with all paperwork and service records go back to 2017, anyways is that a troublesome car? I am pretty proficient mechanically and can handle pretty much anything that would occur I just dont want to get a money pit

In the future you should ”fold” the rear seats If carry items in the back. It’s nice feature in that car. Ads to the practicality...
now we speak about the limited timing chain lifespan of around 90.000 miles if perfect care of change of oil and cooling water and earlier if not. If not spotted, it will break other pieces of your n47 motor and cost you more than 4000 dollars to repair.
And then they ask why we dont like tesla electric. I can watch dropping the top all day long ALONE. Not to mention driving this masterpiece and enjoying the weather

Hardtop convertible is best of both worlds. I love my f33! Unfortunately the hard top convertibles are now obsolete for the newer models. Some bull!!!

Hey man I have a question for you. When you were revving the car I heard the turbos making a whine noise, is that normal? My N54 335i makes that sound all the time And I always thought it was the turbines becoming unbalanced over time.

Actually the best of both worlds, in my opinion, is the E92 Coupe with a sunroof. Because when I open my sunroof and lower the windows, it's just like I'm in a convertible, without losing all the structural integrity of the convertibles. Yes, yes, yes. Driving with the roof open and the windows down does make your drive sooooooo much nicer and it does relieve stress. And my rear seats fold down for SUV like space to transport bigger things. But still a great vid as always. Hope you get those tire marks out of the rear seats. Lesson learned.

You can clean those seats using a magic eraser. Mr Clean Magic eraser, wet it with water, then clean them. It will come off. Then apply leather care treatments.
How did you get past the 30ff codes? Im struggling rn with it plus there is smoke coming from the turbo area😭 and now there is oil everywhere on the bottom of my car🥺. I loce this car and i really want to get everything taken care of but jeez🙄 ive already had to replace the vcg, ofhg, the belt and some leaking collant lines by myself. SEND HALP, maybe a warranty company anyone can hook me up with, anything (ill sell my soul to get this thing running perfectly)

The tire marks should come out with degreaser or Tuff Stuff
Formula 88 will work. But I'd try tuff stuff first. It's probably not great on the leather with the formula 88
