  • This is my tour of the Mountaineer Mall in Morgantown, WV from July 15, 2021. This is an beautiful example of a late 1970s rural mall. Most of the stores in this mall may look closed, but in reality this mall is far from dead, as most of the space is has been converted into offices. This is also probably the best maintained and cleanest mall I have ever been to, and that in combination with its wood paneling, terrazzo floors, brick planters, and vintage storefronts makes this a great place to visit if you're into vintage retail design. I hope you enjoy this tour!

Such a great mall with its own style! Would like to see more stores, but awesome that it’s still kept in awesome shape. Dan Bell’s original video of this place is one of my all time fave mall vids.

Good music choices and good walk through back and forth a few times. This gives a real time feel. Thanks for the vid!

Does anyone know what used to be to the right of the autism center? Those windows with radius corners make me think it was a Pearle Vision or maybe a small arcade…

Yes, that does appear to be a former Pearle Vision center

What place did that used to be, in the background at 3:29? That had the red and grey look, with black and white awning and a circular yellow sign board? I thought that was an old Lums restaurant, but I'm not 100% sure.
