    In California, sales taxes only apply to goods, not services (with some minor exceptions like installation of a machine that you purchased from the same company). To be clear, you cannot charge sales tax in California for mobile detailing. I'd be very wary of doing this for future customers because you don't want to get in trouble with the Franchise Tax Board.
    Keep up the good work!

      @@HuntersMobileDetailing Looks like you're going to have to re-evaluate your prices yet again. Maybe time to discuss the realities of running your own business and dealing with all those unexpected local, state, and federal expenses... ahem, I mean taxes.

    • @BuyMEaDriNk43
      @BuyMEaDriNk43 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@HuntersMobileDetailing The reason for charging sales tax is to hold it and pay the tax amount to the state. Everyone else charges taxes because they are required to pay the tax to the state every month or quarter. If your business is a non-taxable business, in terms of sales tax, then you don't charge taxes. Sales taxes aren't supposed to go into your pocket, it's supposed to go to the state. Nail shops over here in NYC charge tax because they are required to collect 4.5% and file sales tax to pay it back to the state. For example, if your services is 100, you charge 108 (including sales tax), you then file sales tax and pay the $8 to the state. I hope that helps clear stuff up with your business and avoid issues with the tax boards because those are PITA to deal with. I've seen these penalties, they have potential to wipe a whole business if it's not managed properly.

    I really love your videos about how to do this and that and I also love how you explain things. I wanna start a detailing business but I need to know what products do I need for cleaning wheels and tires. Do you have any recommendations?

    Hey, so I absolutley love detailing and I'm going to be going to college here soon to get a Masters in Business Admin, therefore I'm thinking I may want to start my own detailing business after college, but my main question is how to make an app like you did. I have tried clicking on your link multiple times, however it is saying the website isn't available. I don't know if you have a video on it or not, but if you would just get back up with me, because I would love to see how to do that and possibly get a headstart on creating a detailing app for myself and potential future business.

      No, no, no. You do not need a business degree to start a detailing - much less, any business! Trust me bro! Just start your business! Why are you gonna take business advice from a professor who collects a check?

    What up hunter great videos bro I personally have worked by myself then got some help but I realized that I was only about 1-2 hrs ahead but I made sure when I had my guy I produced more social media content so there is some good but bad because then your loosing money and friends are a liability, but ain’t no one going to take care of those cars, quality work and your equipment like you and your bro do to be honest with you. 💯 You said it yourself with the other quote, people have internships everywhere else why can’t you? Obviously only like 1 to 2 cars 😂

    Charge more when they have mold other stains that are hard to get out and also get an antibacterial solution to get rid spores and new molds from coming back.

    Just saw the video and I’m so happy that you work real hard and deserve every dollar you make. Your professional and have good representation of your company. I
    I know it’s a desirable thing for some folks to have their pants half way down their backside but just from an outsider looking at your videos or checking out your work while on the job site, it really doesn’t look good. It’s not too much of an effort to wear the pants around your waist. Not only do you have to work good you have to look good and be professional too. Just my opinion. Take care

    What’s going on HM Detailing? I don’t think that your Detailing Prices are too high. I also mix some of my products together. There is one thing that I noticed about your new help. After you pay him. Make sure that he buys himself a belt. To GOD Be The Glory. And may He continue to Bless you,your brother and. Your new help in Prospering your business.

    in my honest opinion, you should be good to your costumers, they are giving you 3 cars! and you are not only over charging for the service but also charging taxes. Is good to see people building their business and doing well, but ,.. I don't play like that,.. and I don't like getting played like that...if you set a price you should stick with it, don't call your clients and ask for more money when you have 3 guys working for you and you know that you can finish this job in an hour,....Wayne I love you bro, I'm giving you my honest opinion, bro... no a hater here or anything like that.
