I am student from BMS bengaluru . I am in 2nd year right now . Can you give me a roadmap to geta job in google... Currently I am learning Java and will start DSA within a week , after that I want to do Web Development . PLease give me your valuable tips. Thank you
how much does the prior job experience mattered? does the scale of past projects matters? I mostly worked on small scale application so i am bit skeptical of the impression it will give (L3/L4)
Prior job experience matters for L4 and higher roles. There is a certain minimum limit on yoe for each of these roles. If you have worked on scaled projects, it improves your chances of getting shortlisted for the role.
I focussed on latest ones, in order to get an idea about what type of questions are being asked these days. It is just a good metric to judge the importance of different topics, but do not expect to get same questions again.
Hey sorry for the late response. My recruiter gave me an overview of the kind of questions I can expect and she also gave me some pointers for answering these questions. That call with recruiter was really helpful. I also skimmed through some videos shared by her in the preparation mail.
Hey, google will come in our college for placement in first week of August, can I have one to one mentoring session with you? Please let me know how can I contact you
Yup easily, product companies do not have the concept of tiers. If you have strong fundamentals and programming skills, you can easily get into a very good product company. Just make sure that you have some good achievements or internship experiences or projects to put on your resume.
Hi Brother, I will be having my Technical Phone in next week. I learned all concepts of graph, trees, binary search and dp but do not feel confident while solving problems. What should i do to have more confidence while solving problems.
The only solution is practise, competitive programming website or practice website like leetcode. One trick to identify which DSA can be applied, try to cycle through all the concepts you know and see which can be applied. Once you know which algo to apply, it becomes easier to solve.
Thank you bro for this, Really needed to hear this.

@@turningturing9217 I got the interview call but I am not sure how to present the small scale projects
For Google Leetcode list , what timeline did you choose? Last 2 year or last 1 year?
