Just a tidbit speaking for those of us in public safety. Having your house marked well is sooooo important. Make sure the numbers are large and in contrast to the color of the background. Reflective numbers is a huge plus. If you are having an emergency you want us to be able to find your house quickly and easily. When we are responding to your emergency we have a lot going on like radio communications, lights and sirens, traffic around us and pre planning on how we are going to manage your situation best. Having your address visible is just one less thing we have to worry about. I recommend having your mailbox marked with at least four inch numbers if possible and mark ALL three sides of the mall box as well as marking the house itself. Avoid weird scripted fonts for the numbers. You want the numbers to be easy to read and bold. If you want cute scripted don’t save it for the street name or your family name.
