The air conditioning compressor is the heart of vehicle air conditioning. It compresses and circulates the refrigerant and -when operating properly-ensures that the optimal temperature is maintained in the cabin of the car. The AC compressor is typically driven by a V-ribbed belt.

Was looking for a explanation video. But now I'm ended up engrossed by the amazing animation.
This was an amzingly done video. Clear, concise and detailed at the same time. Props to the artist.
there was no explanation on the compressor itself wtf you got from this
@@feero9680 bruh you high or what?
@@RaghavV-rk2zn
no explanation on how the freon is cooled. it wasnt the compressor that cools it down
@@feero9680it literally shows a before and after of the condenser
Simply the best, no words needed.
This compressor is nearly identical to the Delco compressor installed in my grandmother's 1970 Oldsmobile Delta 88.
Just like any engine part : the intake, the throttle, the radiator, oil filter etc , it’s all the same. Whats make the real difference in performance is the cylinders capacity and the computer
The differences is, that system called heat pump, it's mean pumping hot air, automobil called heat engine that's mean make power or torsion from heat by gasoline burning?????
most beautiful animation of cooling cycle.
NIce animation of how the AC compressor works! Congrats! It is very illustrative.
Great job to the animators and producers of this video, thanks.
I never seen this type of explanation ....thanks 🔥
This is an amazing animation. Also I love how your compressors work.
Beautifully Explained Thanks MAHLE Team
An excellent representation of the cooling system (AC) of a car
Lovely Graphic. Thanks for your amazing illustration.
Desde ya agradezco esa animación que es muy importante para entender el ciclo de refrigeración
Wrong orientation of gas in & out of the system. Hot gas enter at the top of the condenser and cold gas enter at the bottom of the evaporator coz the liquid refregirant is heavier than on its gaseous form. Didn't also explain how the high pressure liquid was turned into a cold low pressure mist. The expansion valve is one of the most important parts in an AC system.
Really I had few questions but after reading yours I feel like they failed to explain the main stuff responsible for dropping temperatures
The expansion valve acts like the top of a hair spray bottle. That's why hair spray feels cool to the touch while shaking the bottle it's liquid that's converted to a mist. While in its cool state it can be compressed in the compressor as you cannot compress a liquid- but can compress gas.
It's not radiator it's A.c. working principle is different.
Thank you @Will Ferrell
Make a TH-cam video explaining this, show them how it is done
Make sure you use a proper mic 🎙️
Amazing,simplified explanation
Very nice Explanation, I assume some values are incorrect at ( 3:06 sec) how can a 10°C refrigerant in Eva. absorb heat from cabin and leave Evaporator at 5°C. Once heat is absorbed by refrigerant temperature of refrigerant should increase - but it is mentioned that it is reduced to 5°C there is 1 bar Pressure drop it is normal. Rest every thing is well depicted.
Minus 10 becomes minus 5... -10 vs -5
@@pututaryobrahmantoro1499 It is never -10C on a car AC, unless something went wrong. The video clearly says +10C and +5C respectively.
4 bar @ 10C down to 3 bar @ 5C is nonsense, even if there is lots of cooling capacity left, there are simply no such drop with R134a.
Mostly there will be warmer vapor coming out at around 15~20C as the refrigerant absorbs the heat from the cabin and transfers to the compressor and the condenser ...
Wow...Great video....Mahle is where my dad works
An excellent representation of the cooling system (AC) of a car.
Next level explanation of compressor and process of suction and discharge.
Thanks
Before this video i hv less knowledge.now i hv some more thanks for your wonderful creation
Excellent explanation. Thanks a lot !
Gracias Mahle! Muy bueno.
The best video for car AC
Hats off for the compressor designer
Very helpful with simple methods
Excellent use of animation and color
Really good explanation👌 thanks!!
Excellent visualisation
I will show my students this great video
बहुत ही सुन्दर प्रस्तुति....🙏
Amazing Animation and super precision presentation 👌
Nice illustration
Un vídeo muy bien explicado y muy sencillo de entender el ciclo de funcionamiento, pero te ha faltado incorporar en el circuito el filtro deshidratador para terminar de explicar el ciclo completamente
love the animation! impressive!
Ótima animação. Autoexplicativa.
Super Explanation by MAHLE Team!! Hats off to the creator, who made it so simple to understand!!

Very great information bhai
Good explanation
Thanks very nice video
Excellent 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Congratulation for information
If anybody is entering auto repair class and isn't sure if they should learn to repair air conditioners, I say you should. Once you have basic automotive tool skills, the skills needed to repair automotive A/C are easy to learn.
I was sure the skills were worth learning because my mom had 2 cars with trouble prone A/C systems.
You're absolutely correct... even if you're not into auto repair, air conditioning is one of those things where you're likely to be helping mechanics by pointing them in the right direction rather than being helped by the same mechanics... especially when dealing with complicated variable displacement compressor systems like the one shown in this video, but it also applies to the older ones which use a mechanical valve rather than an electronically actuated solenoid valve to control the compressor displacement. Knowing how mechanical stuff works always helps in the end IMHO.
wow very nice tactics
Thank sir
Super explained yar
Excellent 👌
Woooooooow thats some engineering ladies and gentleman
Nice explanatory video.. wishes..
Hello from greece ,very intresting video.i got a question i hope you reply, when my compresser clutch engages sparks and smoke come out the front can you tell me anything about that thanks

This so cool , how can a car accomodate all the different systems that work around one engine to provide : Steering, suspension, Traction, Heating, Cooling, Braking, Lubrication , Electricity , lighting, UV protection , visibility etc etc etc
Great animation
