Once again I am so glad I watched this! I’m on a True Solo Campaign and was playing Hela wrong the entire time…kept getting defeated and watched this and realized…I was adding her text box with the side schemes in play NOT in Victory Display…so Hela was attacking for 5-6 instead of 2-3! #SavedTheNightDale
I missed the last 2 scenarios of MTS campaign glad I can come back and check up. Hela was my favorite battle in the campaign because it felt a little bit like a journey. She also had a neat natural way to ramp up her ATK, SCH, and HP.
@Daniel Craig Thanks for coming back to finish watching the campaign! Hela is a fun one, with a built in ramp-up like you mentioned. I'm still unsure of the "intent" of the minions coming out with her side schemes, as to whether they are to engage the first player when the scheme comes out and stay, or move around each turn ... but either way, they are something that needs dealt with quickly. Hope your plays go well! :)
I finally got my copy of Mad Titan. Have not played it yet. I am busy with painting SOB minis, but after seeing this video I will crack it open. I really want play Adam Warlock.
32:26 It seems to me that you have overlooked either the side scheme bonus or the amplify icon for a bunch of activations. At this point, for example, there's the base of 1 from Hela, plus 1 from the side scheme on the victory display, 1 from the boost icon on the card, and then +1 boost icon for the amplify icon on the side scheme in play. That should be a total of 4 threats, not 3, right?
You made me worried when your edit near the beginning when you said that forgetting the threat "did" affect the game! I kept expecting things to go sideways but they never did :)
I hope at the end of the Loki we get your thoughts on the box and heroes overall having played them. I really feel like FFG hit this one out of the park both in terms of fun and challenge. Seems like you've got a lot of games that you're showcasing but it would be great to see you rank and discuss the new heroes from GMW to MTS. Maybe a villains list as well?
@Joel Curtis While I like Marvel Champions more for one-offs, I definitely enjoyed this scenario better than GMW. While not familiar with the heroes in the Marvel Universe, I enjoyed playing both heroes and the "tower defense" was my favorite of the 5 new villains. I've still only played them all once, so need some more plays for sure. :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer The TV is 65" 4k. I mean of course its not blurry. But since I got this TV I noticed that 4k gives Vids a descent push when it comes to sharpness when they are in 1440p or 4k. It would make reading the text on your cards much easier.
I just attempted a solo standard campaign against Hela and she wiped the floor with me. I think there's a specific sequence to thwarting and attacking her that leads to success.
@@DaletheCasualGamer Spectrum aggro. I thought her versatility could have easily taken care of Hela. I've so far breezed through the first 3 scenarios.
@@PaintingwithFlare Spectrum is a very solid character and able to do it all ... but Hela and Loki with the schemes, minions, and negative attachments really (for me) feels like they need a powerful duo that can do both thwarting and attacking! Good luck on your next run!!
@@DaletheCasualGamer I just finished my 2nd attempt. Now with a better understanding of the best timing to thwart and attack, I've managed to take down Hela! Unfortunately I didn't get to defeat the Kings armor scheme as I know I would definitely get out schemed if I lasted another turn. All in all, the mad titan campaign so far has been so much more enjoyable than the GMW with clever villain mechanics and a good balance of difficulty. Next stage... LOKI!
@@PaintingwithFlare Good luck against Loki!! I found this set to be more fun too, even excluding Ronan, the Collector were both neat mechanics, but not a villain I go back to often. I tend to only shy away from Thanos and Loki due to continued ability to forget about the infinity stone deck at least once or twice a game. Definitely prefer them with another player. :) lol
Do you pretty much have to use to heroes to beat her? Forwarding with one and attacking with the other. I’ve played her against three different heroes now with three different decks and I’ve lost every time
@Frank Zanca When I do team-ups, I generally see one hero as the Thwarter, and the other one as the Attacker. Hela is tough, and I've only played against her this one time. I need more plays against the villains in this set. Good luck on your next attempt! :)
Great playthrough. ;-) May I ask what Sleeves youre using? There's hardly any glare on them so I'm curious if its just the lighting or special non glare-sleeves. Greetings from Germany!
Hello Sascha from Germany! I use Dragon Shield clear matte sleeves ... and for recording, light positioning is critical to avoid glare. thanks for stopping by! :)
I love this scenario. I’ll suck roundly when I play it I wager. Shame on you for not displaying your encyclopedic knowledge of Old Norse and strangling those minion names. “This guy” indeed. One thing has begun to bother me. You would think All-Father would be mightily ticked off and come out smashing and thrashing. Sure he got some awesome swings but he needs protection like some palooka. He’s bigger than that, no? Imagine an Odin deck where during setup we just put everything away and go to Popeyes for a biscuit instead. I would dearly like to see your take on the Brian-V Warlock deck that’s getting all the buzz lately.
@JJE McManus I have no encyclopedic knowledge. Old Norse or otherwise. I don't know the Brian-V Warlock deck either. Do you have a link to "the buzz"? I actually haven't played Marvel Champions in about 6 weeks. Recorded all the Nebula and Mad Titans games in mid September. Vacation and then catching up from that and other "life" items.
At 16:00, the threat missed "will not" have an impact on the game. Sorry for the typo! :)
I played this yesterday with Drax and Nebula. It quickly went south. You made it look easy!
@Henry Williams Some times things work out, but Ronan is always just around the corner.
Thanks for watching! :)

@Moosios Glad I could help! Better luck with Hela and then the final boss!! :)
Woah! That was epic and i completely forgot the winning conditions. I’m dreading playing this lol. Great video keep up the good work

Good play as always. Any thoughts on upgrading to a newer iPhone to record all this good stuff in 4k60 ? I wacht a lot of your vids on my TV.
@Memmnarch1981 I'm not sure my computer would handle 4k. How big is your TV, and is it blurry with 1080p?
Thanks!

Quick question, there was a minion around 24th minute with Guard. Was that played correctly? :)
@DoogieBoomstick Guard only applies to the character the minion is engaged with, not to other characters. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching! :)
