If you set clockworks to tons in caves, they are still spawning everywhere; there is a lot more of them in "double" bishop room and military biome, but also there is noticeble amount in bunnymen villages, lightbulb field, monkey villages, mushroom forests etc. So rooks never betrayed you :) (as well as other types of clockworks) Edit: surface is also a mess in terms of clockworks, spawned in the world and was greeted by three rooks and couple of bishops :)
I'm hoping a similar thing for the nothing world will exist, as many previously untoggleable options will now have to be turned off, and make it much harder to survive (and get grass!).
They should add a "chaos" option to the things, which generates selected options like they did before. That, or a "megatons" option that overgenerates everything.

i was playing normal survival world, but i set everything to Lots, or Tons. Then willow came in clutch. She just light one grass, and whole world just burned, not base, but entire WORLD
I hope they add a type of world setting where there is a chance for items from different biomes to spawn in the wrong biomes and the higher it is the more chaotic it becomes and if maxed out then it is like the old worlds
I just wonder how the griefer spawn protection would work I usually play alone but the one time I open a world up in about 45 minutes a griefer burned my base down and yeah the rest is history.
It doesn't prevent griefers from spawning or anything, iirc what it does is gives you a buff when you spawn in (but only if there is a ton of junk near posterb) that makes you invincible and able to walk through structures. Basically so people can't flood spawn with spider nests to greif new joiners.
I have no idea. I imagine it was possible before you just had to know how to edit the files properly. The method for saving your world hasnt changed at all so I dont think anything changed for dedicated servers

Info on the character I use: (If you're interested in learning more about the Fishy Guardswoman.) Depending on which version of the mod you use you get two wildly different games. On one hand there's Baby Mode where her ability meter fills slowly over time and as a result, also drains slower when using her secondary transformation, and her energy spears are easier to craft. On the other, her meter never fills unless you or others take damage (debating if that Other's take damage is real or not since I always play solo) and her spears cost 3x the amount to craft (15 sanity instead of 5) (1 spear > 3 sanity ratio vs the baby 1-1). As a result of her meter not slowly refilling, her transformation time in the base mod will be 200 seconds as it takes 1 second per point of DT to drain. I personally use baby mode when I'm looking for casual gameplay as it means I don't need to purposefully get my shit slapped in order to power up and I don't need to stress over healing myself from taking on purpose damage. But if I play with others and they download the character, I will suggest using the harder version to make the gameplay more balanced for others. Undyne is strong, yes, and albeit fairly overpowered considering she's temporarily immortal after she's died once and her DT meter is filled accordingly. However. As said, the base mod has you take damage on purpose to refill it and each hit counts as 1 point, not 1 point per HP point lost. So 200 hits of any amount of physical damage. (eating bad foods doesn't count, only getting smacked)
