Thanks for making this video with real life trial data. We hike/camp up the sierras and in the summer it’s not unusual for it to get mid 30s-mid 40s overnight even when 85 in the day and 105 down on the valley floor. Did a 5 day trip with my wife and daughter last summer with some 0* rated Teton sports bags, all 3 of us shiver our butts off on a 38* night. You ain’t kidding when you say plenty of companies will just slap a number on a bag! Again, thanks because I’m going to get the Kelly 0* version of this and I know my ladies won’t get chilly.
Nice review. Thanks for taking the time to put it together. I will also mention that the temperature rating of 20 degrees assumes you are wearing an insulating base layer like thermal underwear.
Hey Thanks again appreciate all reviews and I will swap to a down bag . Looking forward to upcoming season and hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas and HIKING new year
I am a warm blooded person to begin with being from Michigan, I think I could pull it off with this bag and a fleece liner. thanks for an honest review,
I agree with adding 10 degrees to the stated rating. I have a North Face Blue Kazoo. Love the bag but it isnt comfie down to 15 degrees in my opinion, but fine down to freezing temp or a little lower, when used with a fleece thermal layer below it.
I use their old one. all 3 of my bags are clearanced from gander mtn. A 40 and 30 marmot and a 20 kelty from 12 years ago. It's time to upgrade all my cold gear.
Thanks for watching! I actually no longer use this bag, i switched to a quilt. It would definitely be too warm zipped up in the summer, but i used to just unzip it and lay it over me like a quilt on warmer nights.
Kelty owes you a dollar. I purchased the bag yesterday based off your review. Thank you.
This guy should have put an affiliation link to it! I would buy through his reviews! I like real world opinions!

Been thinking about either this one or the 40 degree? Cant beat the price for a dri down bag!! Packs fairly small too! Thanks for sharing!
